HIYA!!!

How are you guys? Good I hope.

Yesterday was the Mexican independence day so YAY!! I was talking to one of my friends and she's salvadorean and she said "I thought your guys's independence day was cinco de mayo." Its weird because she's not the first person that tells me that. A lot of people think our independence is cinco de mayo.

Anyway off that subject... My church is having a two day youth festival that I'm taking part in organizing. The point of the festival is to get more children to join the youth groups. The first day (oct 2) is for kids ages 12-16 and the second day (oct 3) is for kids ages 6-11. My group is mostly in charge of the first day. We have to play songs, plan activities, perform skits and stuff. In the second day we just have to lead the little kiddies through the different stations. So its all gonna be like a mini retreat. I cant wait!! Its gonna be so fun ^__^ Hehe and my friend Jacob is gonna get an award or something and he's gonna start working as a youth minister at the church. And the rest of us are just gonna get a recognition because this is our last year as part of the youth groups. I'm sad to be leaving but I'm also kinda relieved, thats one thing I won't have to worry about anymore, and if I ever miss it, I could just go volunteer or something right?
