I had a wonderful wake-up call this morning...normally, if undeadloner called me, it would be something good...but my first sentence was supposed to be sarcastic.
STUPID SNOW!!!
We (me and a couple of other friends) were going to have a new years party at her house (we decided it was a bonenkai -a "forget the year" party!) And it was supposed to be tonight, at undead's house. But there was a fairly large amount of snow last night, and her dad had to go plow this morning, and would probably be gone the whole day, which meant...the party's been moved to tomorrow.
which sucks.
because my family is planning on going to a church new year's eve thingymabob. which fricken sucks, b/c now i can't go to the party...
all i have to say is that the church thing better be fun, or i will not be a happy camper. because i've been looking forward to our bonenkai all week.
i was gonna buy a tablet (i found a 8 x 6 Wacom Graphire3 for only $75) yesterday, until dad pointed out that i would have to be connected to the computer, aka, upstairs.
which sucks. because i know if I try sitting up here drawing i'll get constant comments like "what're you drawing?" (a question that i LOATHE) and (from my mom) "are you drawing that anime crap again?"
so i don't think i'm gonna get a tablet until i get my own computer...which could be never...
yeah, so, all in all, i'm in a pretty damn pissy mood today. but my Christmas was great. Josh (remember him? kid from camp, who i watched the stars with? we've kept in touch through email since then) even sent me a gift...which made me feel kinda bad since i didn't get him anything, but since his b-day's the 12 of jan. i'll send him something then.
i think i'll try and calm my pissyness by sitting on the computer for awhile...mom's not home, just dad, so he won't kick me off right away.....
Procrastination can be defined as choosing the latter choice…and, even though I’m fully aware of the consequences, I still choose it…but, most of my busy as heck stuff is finally out of the way and (maybe) I can breathe again…
Saturday I finished up most of my Christmas shopping (except for my grandparents…I don’t know what to get them though….I’ve thought about drawing a pic for them like my self-portrait, but I don’t know if I’ll have enough time now…) and also bought manga at Waldenbooks! 5 books for the price of 3! There was a buy 4 get 5th free sale, AND my manga card was almost filled up so I got 2 free! YAY! Inu vol. 3 (for ladysesshy), JuvOri 2 (for undead), Beauty is the Beast, DNAngel vol. 5, and Fruits Basket vol. 12! (finally came out!) So I was very happy.
Tuesday was my choir concert (which went good), and then last night I helped play piano for the elementary concert. (I got the music on kind of short notice, so the only songs I learned enough to play were the kindergarten’s songs and Silent Night) That was probably one of the biggest things that made my life pretty hectic. I was trying to learn a bunch of songs as fast as I could, so I had little kid’s Christmas songs running around in my head 24/7 (and don’t get me wrong, I like Christmas songs) but they were beginning to drive me crazy! So I went to sleep a couple nights with my headphones on turned up nice and loud so all I could hear were Malice Mizer/Gackt/Glay songs…
But far as procrastination goes, I put of working on my computer class assignment for a while and just played around during class so the last few days have been a frantic drive to get that done…and I’m not really done, but hopefully it’s enough to get a good grade…..plus I had to finish my English report….
BUT NOW! That’s all done and the only pressing thing I have left to do is clean my room. (Seriously, it looks horrible. I usually keep a nice level of organized mess, but it is WAY above that level right now) Shows how busy I’ve been.
But I’ve blabbed about all that waaaaaaay to long. Well, tomorrow the people I babysit for have asked me to help translate (!) b/c they’ve hired a Mexican to work on their farm, and they wanted to know if I could help if there was any confusion…so I hope that goes good….and then…………

I think some people would say I’ve been stressed out or something over the past week. It’s funny, though, I usually don’t think of it as stress…….stress to me is: OMG! SO MUCH TO DO!!!!!! *nervous sorta stress* *jitter jitter* but I’ve just been….tense. and sleepy.
But music. Thank God for music. I can turn my CD player waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up and drone it all out and I feel better. Playing the piano usually has about the same effect too….
Oh! I just remembered something else! I was reading Shades of Truth (two more chappys were put up) and when I reached the end of them I was like O.O *stare, with jaw hanging open* uh…it’s kinda hard to explain, but read it and find out! It’s on fanfiction.net (Yu-Gi-Oh! Story) and was written by….can’t remember the pen name, but it’s really really good, (and shocking) and about Seto and Mokuba……though I think it’s gonna end up like some sort of tragedy…so maybe you should decide yourself whether or not you should read it, but I say go read it!!!

oh, yeah, DeathT-2, you wanted to read my report on Gackt. Well, here it is...read if ya feel like it.
Who is Gackt? Most Americans wouldn’t know the answer to this question, nor would I expect them to. About a year ago, I wouldn’t have known either. Gackt is actually a famous person, but he’s not from the U.S. Nor is he from this continent. Gackt is from Japan.
Camui M.S. Gackt is his full name, although he is usually referred to simply as Gackt. Because of the way Japanese is written, a Japanese speaker would pronounce his name “Gakuto.” This is only his stage name, however, and his real name is unknown.
But the name doesn’t really tell much about the man. What does Gackt do for a living, and why is he famous? To put it quite simply, Gackt sings. It’s hard to decide whether to classify him as rock or pop, since his music is a little bit of both and then some.
Gackt began his singing career when he joined the band Malice Mizer as the lead vocalist. The band’s music had always leaned heavily towards rock, although when Gackt joined their music began to have a more romantic feel. A strong classical influence can also be heard in their songs which gave them a unique sound. However, Gackt only stayed with them for a few years, and in 1998 he left and began his solo career.
His first single was titled Mizerable and his debut album was Mars. An interesting thing to note about his work is that even though he is Japanese, many of his songs have English names, and may even include English lyrics. However, the English lyrics may not always be understandable, or even grammatically correct. A prime example of the latter is his song Another World. There are two lines of English lyrics in this song: “You can see another world” and “You don’t need another words.” While the English is easily heard and understood, I had search for the lyrics on the internet to make sure I was hearing him right. I was; he really does say, “You don’t need another words.” Even so, Gackt’s English has improved, both in pronunciation and grammar, and the English version of December Love Song doesn’t have any such obvious errors and for the most part is easy to understand.
Gackt’s music covers a wide variety of styles, from the slow ballad Hoshi no Suna to the upbeat Another World. Nine Spiral is darkly rock, and 4th can be summed up best as “weird.” His lyrics cover a wide spectrum too, although most deal with either the sad or the other side of love. A few of his songs are quite risqué, such as the blatantly obvious and almost explicit Vanilla. A few others are quite cryptic in meaning and leave themselves open to interpretation.
The fact that he’s a singer makes one of Gackt’s best assets his wide vocal range. He can sing with a low, rich bass sound, while still being able to hit some notes that would be high for most men. Although, most of his songs are in the middle range.
Singing isn’t the only thing Gackt does, though. He writes and composes most of his songs himself, and also knows how a play several different instruments, including the piano. He was also the co-writer and co-star of the movie Moonchild. While the movie wasn’t the best thing since sliced cheese, most who’ve seen it agree that it wasn’t half bad. Another place Gackt will be making an appearance is in the upcoming Final Fantasy game, Dirge of Cerebus. He will be singing a theme song and is supplying the voice and movements for one of the characters.
While Gackt may be only known to a few in the U.S., he is immensely popular in Japan. His celebrity status is such that he is often seen in TV shows or commercials. There are even credit cards with his picture on them. Just like any other singer, there are those who like him, and those who don’t. I am definitely one of those who like him.
anyways...after I read it in class yesterday, I realized I never made it really clear that Gackt sings in Japanese. oh well, at least i remember to double space between sentences this time......
only 5 days of school left (including today) until Christmas Break!!!! (And you can call it whatever the heck you want, but I'm gonna call it Christmas Break. Always.)

anyways...on wednesday I ended up getting out at 12:45 anyways, so even if school wasn't cancelled it was all good. especially since i have the classes I like in the morning anyways....
Grrr...school should’ve been cancelled! Or, at the very least, delayed! Even Spring Valley was closed, and we’re like their clones and usually do the same thing, but no! But dark spirit 21 and I did miss dance practice since my mom didn’t want to drive us down the hill if everyone else was canceling…and from what I’ve heard, it’s a good thing we did that, since a lot of people said they were sliding all over the road…
But anyways, after everyone got home last night (I got about 2 or so hours all to myself!) I was in a really cranky mood. But I was more pissed at myself for not seeing the note mom left, which told me I was supposed to clean horse stalls and give them hay and stuff (I did feed and lock up chickens, and I gave the sheep a flake of hay, but I wasn’t sure what else to do.) But making mac & cheese helped me get over my mood (??? Why??? I dunno!) so…yeah….I think I had a point…..I’m not crabby anymore.
In fact, I’m fairly happy. I actually got a good breakfast (mom made me French toast! ^.^ AND there were strawberries to put on it!) and coffee to maybe(?) give me some energy….
Plus, I’m almost finished with my Gackt report….just need to think of a title. I’m thinking hoshi no suna (stardust) as kind of a play on words…ya know, he’s a star, and that’s the title to one of his songs……?
Man, does the time ever go fast in study hall! The hour’s almost over!!
I've found scanlations of Count Cain (did I already mention that?) which is basically the whole that Godchild is a part of...so now i'm currently obsessed, not to mention using a whole study hall to read them....and not getting my english rough draft done...it's on Gackt, so you wouldn't think that'd be too hard, but i'm having problems!!! and english is something i'm normally good at! gah!

i need to start going to bed before 10 o'clock more often. i actually have energy on the days i have to get up early for dance! XD but i'll probably stay up late tonight...who knows....lata!
Rawr! So, I got most of my Christmas shopping done on Saturday, and all I have left is the other half of ladysesshy’s and undead’s gifts. And I know what I’m getting them; I just have to buy it.
Debit/Credit Cards make you spend more. You lose the actual act of parting with your money….and then you spend more…I need to check how much money I have left on my card, but I need my account number/social security number which I can never remember so I’ll have to do that tonight.
Plus, on Saturday, I bought the Jan. issue of Shonen Jump, and two issues of Shojo Beat! Plus, with the Shonen Jump I got a BLUE EYES ULTIMATE DRAGON!!!!! YEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I wanna read more of Absolute Boyfriend, Beauty is the Beast (which was only a preview, it isn’t serialized) and Godchild’s pretty cool too…..

All I have to do is make it through today and the weekend will finally be here…I’m so tired. I had dance practice every morning ‘cept Monday this weekend, and performances last night and tonight. Last night’s went pretty good…I think…at least, I think I did good…
But speaking of dance, Seto’s gonna kill me! O.O Wanna know why? cLiCkIeS!
Also, before we performed, Undead,Dark Spirit 21 and I were running around the old gym, playing soccer with our poms and spinning around reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllly fast in circles and then trying to run in a straight line. Needless to say, we spent most of the time collapsed on the floor laughing…I’m sure if anyone had seen us they would’ve thought we were on crack or something…
Tomorrow I’m going on a 4-H trip (ladysesshy’s coming too) to the Mall Of America. To go shopping for Christmas presents!

yeah, that sounds about right…So I would’ve gotten a perfect or near perfect paper on my Narrative essay, but I forgot to double-space in the last half of my report, so I got 17+ errors (0 points for editing) since she counted EVERY SINGLE TIME I forgot to double space…-.- though it really was my fault for forgetting…but I figured out that with the extra credit of 5 pts for reading my essay, losing only 4 points for editing still puts me on top, even though it looks bad since my paper was a B- (the extra credit is added to my grade, not the paper)
Isn’t it funny how many people tend to draw, paint or whatever portrait style? It makes sense, seeing as most people write on paper portrait style, and that’s how books are laid out and everything…but then you get to a computer screen, and that’s more landscape friendly……yeah………did that make sense?
I’ll quit blabbing now….I really should think of a topic for my expository essay, since the pre-writing is due today…or maybe I’ll just entertain myself on quizilla…who knows?
I’ve still gotta finish my current events T.T and my math…
I made even more money yesterday babysitting again! The kids I babysit’s parents were gone all day yesterday, got lost, and asked if I’d babysit since their grandma had to go home…whoa…if that sentence totally confused you, don’t mind it since I can’t think of a better way to say it.
I want a Gackt credit card.
I want a “Looking for a Japanese Boyfriend” t-shirt too! And the “I love alcohol” one! (haha…that one would be great. “what does you t-shirt say?” “I love alcohol”) And all the other cool t-shirts I’ll never get!!!!
