   good news and bad news

So, yesterday after church my family and I went to the mall to go shopping for some clothes. And, while we where there, I walked past Waldenbooks, and…they had a manga sale going on!!!! 3 books for the price of 2!!!! I WAS SO EXCITED! Except, I had to figure out how to get rid of mom so I could buy them…I tried to get some while I was supposed to be watching my sister play at this little play area, but there was this long checkout line and it was taking FOREVER and mom wasn’t going to be gone that long. I picked out 3 Fruits Basket books I hadn’t read yet (5, 7, and 8, I already have 6 cuz I got that with my box set). It was either that or Rurouni Kenshin. But I was running out of time and ran back by my little sister. I didn’t get a chance until we were about to leave and stopped at the bathrooms. I told my brother while we were waiting for mom and my sis that I’d dropped my comb back at the play area. Of course he didn’t believe me, but I ran off and got the books!!!! I WAS SO HAPPY!!! Plus, I got an extra 20% off of one of them, so I got 3 Fruits Basket for under $20!!! Although, I won’t even be able to think of getting any more until June, when the 9th book comes out. But meanwhile, I can work on a Rurouni Kenshin collection! Unfortunately, I’m broke now… But, there’s bad news. I may not get to go to Costa Rica. T.T AND IT’S ALL THE STUPID GOVERNMENTS FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They never told me at the office where I applied for my passport that a California Abstract of Birth isn’t good enough and that I have to have a long form birth certificate. My parents didn’t know it didn’t count either. AND for some reason my dad wasn’t properly identified as my parent!!! Then, ONE MONTH LATER, I get a letter in the mail notifying me of these problems. So, my parents sent out an application for the long form birth certificate. And now, just last Saturday, I received something else in the mail, from California, telling me average processing times for my birth certificate are 6 WEEKS!!!!!! (from the date they sent the postcard) WTF! I HAVE JUST BARELY 6 WEEKS UNTIL I *LEAVE* FOR COSTA RICA…WHICH DOES *NOT* GIVE ME ENOUGH TIME TO GET MY PASSPORT!!!!!!!! I am majorly pissed off about this. Because, since it’s so close to when I’m supposed to leave, I won’t even get a refund on the money I’ve paid. I AM REALLY PISSED ABOUT THIS, AND SO ARE MY PARENTS!!!!!!!!! So, I praying that there will be some way for me to get my passport in time. Later, Nanashi
