ˇHola!
Yup, I’m back in the States now. Sorry I didn’t get to post yesterday, I didn’t get a chance. But now I’ve got ‘bout 2 hours home alone…mas o menos. (more or less) So, first things first, let’s see how Seto did while I was gone.
Sunday
Me: *walks in, and gets glomped by Seto* O.O
…Hi…
Can’t…breathe…
Seto: I missed you so m-don’t tell anyone about this-much.
Me: *crosses fingers* O…kay…*turning blue*
Seto: *lets go* Next time I’m going with you.
Me: Yeah, I kinda missed you too…Umm…Seto, why’s the front lawn black instead of green?
Seto: Err…well…
Mokuba: *bouncing down the stairs* Setoletoffabunchoffireworksinthefrontlawnand-
Seto: *clamps hand over Mokuba’s mouth* Nothing happened. He’s just had too much sugar.
Me: o.O…Wait a minute! YOU ARE NOW OFFICIALLY CRAZY! HOORAY! *glomps him*
Seto: can’t…breathe…
Me: I’m not letting go until you tell me everything that happened!
Seto:…..O…kay…*gets let go of* Well, I did set off fireworks in the front lawn…and…well, creating some “excitement” at the last meeting…
Me: And exactly what type of excitement?
Seto: Err…well…there was a bomb scare…
Me: Just a scare? Seto, I’m disappointed in you! *sigh* Well, anyways, I betcha everyone’s dying to hear how my trip went. So here goes.
Flight down to Houston was uneventful. I took the four or so hours we had at that airport to browse Borders pitiful collection of manga, finally decide to buy Excel Saga #6 even though I haven’t read any other ones, ride the train that takes you to different terminals a couple million times, find an internet terminal with the “click” key broken, but use it anyways because I have nothing better to do, buy a smoothie a few moments before our plane leaves and then get on the plane to Costa Rica.
Another uneventful flight, I think we may have had some turbulence, but not enough to add any excitement. But don’t get me wrong, I love flying just for the sake of flying. But landing was interesting. It went kinda like this.
Sra: *in seat in front of me, turning around* Soledad (my name in spanish class) did you say something?
Me: No...
Plane: *bumps forcefully on runway, causing a large intake of breath and a collective OH! from all passengers*
Me: *mind is elsewhere, and is slow in the uptake.* thinking: something happened…OH! we bumped on the runway! Cool!
Yeah, that’s more or less what happened. Then I looked at the other girls from my group sitting next to me and we all burst out laughing, slightly hysterically, I might add.
I made it through customs just fine, got a stamp in my passport, got my bags, and loaded onto a van that took me to the “Rancho” which is the place that organized our home stay down in Costa Rica. We took Spanish lessons there everyday, and they were a lot more intense than we were expecting. Even my Spanish teacher was drilled on her Spanish. But other than that, it was a lot of fun, I went to San Jose (the capital), Alajuela (another town), figured out that if I want to withdraw money from my debit card I have to click CHECKING instead of SAVINGS after rather much frustration as I tried to figure out why the damn machine wouldn’t give me any money, *tried* to talk in Spanish to my family, succeeded for the most part, watched cartoons in Spanish (they have better TV down there, on regular TV they get cartoons including anime, and it’s not KidsWB fare or anything), also watched Dora la Exploradora (I think you can figure out what show that is…the cool part was, I could understand every word spoken on that show), went to a Volcano, Waterfall Gardens, a boat tour down the Sarapiqui river, saw monkeys, a crocodile and other various wildlife, visited the school down there and so on. I’d go into more depth but there’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much to tell that I’d bore you all with the sheer amount of space it would take to say everything. I’ve already used up about an hour of the time I have home alone so I think I’ll finish with that fact that I bought Excel Saga #7 on the way back. Oh, yeah, and I got to read part of YGO Duelist Vol. 2…two comments: Seto was in a coma *cry* SETO LOOKS SEXY WHEN HE’S MAD!
Later,
Nanashi
This is over two pages in Microsoft Word, 12 pt. font. Wow…
