Guadalupe and Karen arrive back at the truck late that afternoon and Maurice steps out of the trailer. "Hello. How was your day ladies?" He says smiling. "What is your deal? Why are you smiling?" Guadalupe asks raising an eyebrow. Karen's eyes light up and says "Has Shino come back?" Maurice just smiles and Karen shoves him out of the way to get in the trailer. Maurice and Guadalupe follow her in. Diego is standing there smiling. Guadalupe slaps Maurice across the face and Karen punches him. "Why would you get her hopes up like that?" Guadalupe says and pushes him outside. Maurice sits up and says "It was Diego's idea and I get blamed." "So why are you back? I thought you had some tour business in Jhoto to do." Karen says. "I finished it. I had received word from one of my sources that Shino hasn't been seen for a couple days. It isn't easy for someone to up and vanish like that. Its even harder to disappear off my radar but he somehow managed it. I am not the only one keeping tabs on him. Recent info I have acquired indicates that ISF and several major companies are as well. They have hired an organization called Team Rocket Specialty Services. From what I have gathered this organization does odd jobs for companies. The kind of jobs that public is never informed of. I would like to know what has happened since in my absence." Diego says. The women fill him in. On an airplane coming towards Tempest Agent Tendo is sitting relaxing and enjoying the onboard movie when his phone goes off. "Sir, we have a small problem. It appears that Shino has disappeared. None of our agents have seen him for a couple days. And from what we have gathered neither has anyone else. He just vanished into thin air. What should we do?" The agent explains. Tendo turns his phone off and puts it back in his pocket. Then he closes his eyes and leans back in his chair. The agent just stares blankly at the phone. Ash is back at the Pokecenter packing his bag when Gary comes in. He closes the door and says "Ash, I won't be traveling with you anymore. I am going to stay here with Karen and keep trying till she says she will be mine. So I got this for you." Gary hands him a small microchip. "What is it?" Ash asks looking at it. "Its a GPS unit for your Pokedex." Gary says and picks up the Pokedex. He installs the chip and shows Ash. "Thanks Gary. I don't know how to repay you." Ash replies. "Don't worry about it. Just stay alive till the championship so I can kick your ass." Gary says and leaves. Looking out his window Ash can see the sun setting so he decides to leave in the morning. The following morning Scizor is sitting on top of the trailer staring up at the sky. "It has been three days since he left and not a trace has been found of him. I am sure Ash will be leaving here today. And I know Gary is going to stay here so he can try to win Karen over. Now Karen has to confront Larry to give him her answer. And that's when we can get him back." Scizor says aloud to himself. "I don't think I can go through with that plan of yours." Karen says startling Scizor. "I know. It was just an idea." Scizor says. Ash walks up and sees Karen on top of the trailer. "Good morning. How are you doing?" Ash says politely. "I'm doing a little better. I take you must be off for the next badge." Karen replies climbing down. "Yup. Since I don't want to be here any longer then I have to be. I hope everything works out for you and that I will see you again sometime." Ash says. Karen gives him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. Gary walks up right at this point and Larry rolls up as well. They glare at Ash and Karen says "Take care of yourself out there and take this." Karen hands Ash a small bag. He opens it up and sees a large amount of cash. "What's this for?" He asks. "A gift from Shino. Its for when you finally get Misty. And for your trip." She replies. "Thank you." He says and gives her another hug. "If you ever need anything feel free to call me anytime." Karen says and kisses his cheek. Ash leaves and is confronted by Gary. "What the hell was all that about?" He asks. "I just came by to say goodbye to her. That's all." Ash says. "Why was she hugging and kissing you?" Gary snaps back. "I guess she was just saying goodbye. No need to get all upset about it. It was strictly friendly." Ash says and pushes his way past. "Just remember that she is my future bride. So keep your grubby paws off her." Gary says. Ash rolls his eyes and continues on his way. "So Larry what brings you around here?" Maurice says sneaking up behind him. Larry jumps in his wheelchair and looks back at him. "I have come here for Karen's answer. Not that any of this concerns you. So just go away." Larry replies and wheels himself over towards Karen. "What do you want?" Karen asks coldly. Larry smiles as he says "Just your answer on my proposal. I would like to know by tomorrow at the latest. Or else his body gets incinerated." Karen gasps and is silent for a moment. Scizor jumps down and Diego steps out of the trailer shirtless. A few women walking by scream at the sight of Diego and Sandslash pops up in front of them. They stop in their tracks. "What is going on here? Why are you shirtless?" Larry asks infuriated. Gary walks up and stands there. "What I do is my business. You are of no concern to me. (turns towards Karen) Where are the towels?" Diego says. "Scizor can you show him?" Karen replies. Scizor leads Diego inside and Karen says "He is a very close friend. He was fixing a few things around the semi. I will give you my answer when I am good and ready. If you know what's good for you then you won't incinerate Shino's body. Until then I suggest you leave me be. Both of you!" Karen says glaring at both Gary and Larry. "It is useless to stall to try and find the body on your own. It can't be done. So you can tell that annoying little bug to quit searching." Larry says and rolls off. Karen goes back in the semi slamming the door behind her. Gary screams in pain as his fingers are caught in the door. "Did you have to come out without a shirt?" Karen says sitting down on the bed next to a still sleeping Guadalupe. Maurice walks in and says "Did you notice that you got Gary's fingers caught in the door?" "That's what that screaming was?" Diego says putting his shirt back on. Guadalupe sits up and looks around sleepily. As Larry wheels himself down the street he says "I guess I should go and double check everything." Ash is walking out of a store with a couple bags of supplies for his trip. Pikachu is sitting on his shoulder eating a poketreat. "Well Pikachu, are you ready to go?" Ash asks. "Pika Pi." Pikachu says happily. They walk back across town to the ferry that goes to the next town. Several trainers are also headed the same direction. Celebi enters the trailer where Karen, Guadalupe, Maurice, Diego, and Scizor have all convened. "That prick is smart. The entire time he was here he didn't think of it in any way, shape, or form. He only thought of Karen in a very nauseating way." Celebi says shuddering. "Shit. I just want to rip his head off." Scizor says angrily. "He knows nothing is going to happen to him as long as he uses Shino's body as leverage." Maurice says. "Akurei could talk to him." Diego says," But that would more then likely end up leading us nowhere. Larry would be killed before he could talk." Everyone falls silent. "Just go about your normal business. Forget about Shino. It is being taken care of." A voice from the chamber says with a very evil laugh. "I agree." Everyone says together before running for the exit. Ash arrives at the docks for the ferry and begins mingling with the other trainers. "Where is Shino and Karen?" Several trainers ask. "Oh... They wanted to stay for awhile longer. I didn't want to so I am going on ahead." Ash lies. The ferry finally gets there at sunset and everyone gets onboard. Ash looks back at Tempest and says "Good luck."

The following morning both Ash and Gary are moping around. Gary is more in a state of shock from what Scizor said to him. "What does that idiotic bug know? Karen and I were made for each other. Now why does that guy in the wheelchair look familiar?" Gary says to himself. Ash is replaying the previous night's events over and over in his mind to try and figure out what he did to piss Misty off so bad. Scizor on the other hand was in the Chamber playing the tape for the pokemon that lives in there. Life around the city had returned to normal and no one knew of the previous night's events. Trainers were busy trying to earn their Tempest badge from Maurice. Guadalupe was on her way over to console Karen who was still weeping in the bunk of the semi. Guadalupe arrived at the semi in the early afternoon and was met by a very distraught and tired looking Karen. "What the hell happened to you? Where is Shino?" Guadalupe asks closing the door. Karen buries her face into Guadalupe's shoulder and proceeds to tell her what happened. While she is telling the story Scizor walks in and puts the tape back in the tape player. After Karen is done telling her story Scizor plays the tape. "How do you know he didn't just give you those things to hold onto until he gets back?" Guadalupe asks. "Because he wouldn't of left this behind." Karen replies as Scizor sets the small black marble ball down on the bed. "Oh. Shit. Why would he leave that behind? He never lets that leave his side." Guadalupe says staring at the ball. Karen shrugs and blows her nose which is red and sore. "Something isn't right. Shino leaves behind all three of his pokemon. One of which has never left his side. He doesn't plan on surviving the fight or returning at all. He has only done this once before and he disappeared for three years. You said Larry admitted to killing Shino. That's not possible because Larry is still recovering from the serious beating Akurei gave him. Larry is stuck in that wheelchair for another year or more. Larry must of paid someone to kill Shino for him, but who?" Guadalupe says pacing back and forth. "Forget calling Diego. He is in Goldenrod on band business. He doesn't even know yet. Nobody but us knows." Scizor says before Guadalupe could even suggest it. The sun sets and their stomachs start to grumble. Maurice shows up with some food and is filled in on the details. "There is really no abandoned buildings to pull off anything like that around here. Officer Jenny and the cops search them daily. They would of found him by now. Nobody has mentioned anything about this today." Maurice says sitting on the floor. Karen is curled up under the blankets on the bed with Guadalupe sitting next to her. Scizor has left and is searching the city street by street. Sometime around sunrise Scizor returns empty handed and falls asleep in the trailer. Karen is asleep next to Guadalupe on the bed and Maurice is sound asleep on the floor. The little black marble ball rolls out the door as Scizor walks in. Ash wakes up early and gets himself cleaned up. As he is leaving the Pokecenter with Pikachu by his side. "I will win Misty back if I can just win this league championship. Ready Pikachu?" Ash says staring at the rising sun. "Pika!" Pikachu replies and they set off for the Gym. Gary wakes up around noon and gets dressed. On his way down the hall Nurse Joy stops him. "What's with you? You and Ash were moping around here all day long." Nurse Joy asks. "I was rejected by the woman I love." Gary replies softly. Nurse Joy slaps him hard across the face and says "Grow a pair and get over it. If you really love her then don't give up. Just keep trying." Gary rubs his cheek for a second before hugging her and running off. He reaches the semi and as he comes up to the door Maurice opens it hitting him right in the face. Gary is laying on the ground unconscious right in front of the door. Maurice looks down at him and closes the door. He doesn't say a word and walks away. A little while later Guadalupe comes out and steps right on Gary's nuts. Before she can say anything, Karen does the same thing. They look down at Gary who is currently curled up in a little ball holding his crotch. "Why are you laying there?" Karen asks. Gary looks up at her and before he can answer Karen and Guadalupe leave. Maurice enters the gym and is followed by a dozen trainers. As they enter they see the old man leaning against the wall. Maurice walks into the back of the Gym while the trainers talk amongst themselves. After Maurice is out of sight the old man says "Listen and listen well. If you want to win this badge easily then do as I say. When he greets you call him "Legend" and he will give you a easy win. Don't and you won't win." A large throne comes out of the floor with a Ninetails sleeping in it. Maurice makes his way towards it and Ninetails doesn't move. Maurice looks down at him and snaps his fingers then points to the floor. Ninetails doesn't even acknowledge his presence. Scizor walks in and stands in the back of the crowd. "This guy is a supposed legend and he can't even get a Ninetails off the chair." A trainer says to another trainer. Scizor makes his way up to the throne. And looks at Ninetails then Maurice. "Allow me." Scizor says and pulls out a large rolled up newspaper. He smacks Ninetails in the head with it as he says "Bad mutt. No filthy mongrels on the furniture." He smacks him again and Ninetails gets down. The old man walks up to Scizor and sprays bug spray in his face. "Damn bugs keep getting bigger and bigger every year." He says still spraying Scizor. When he stops Ninetails sneezes and Scizor catches on fire. "Good boy." the old man says and gives Ninetails a treat. "What the hell just happened?" Several trainers ask. "So who is up first?" the old man asks. "What do you mean?" A trainer asks. Scizor is running around in the background trying to get the fire out. "Let's see. How to answer a self explaining question? Out of all of you trainers which one of you would like to challenge me first for the Tempest badge?" The old man says slower. A look of confusion comes over the trainers. "You aren't the gym leader. He is." A trainer says and points to the empty throne. "Who?" The old man says as he rips off his face and clothes. The trainers back up and look in utter shock. Maurice is standing there with the old man's clothes and face in his hands. "What the...?" says several trainers. Maurice lowers his head and mutters something. "You have got to be kidding. Are all of you that stupid? I don't believe this. The trainers yesterday got it." Maurice says. "Are you like Hannibal Lector or something? Where is that old man?" A trainer in back asks terrified. Scizor walks up to the trainer, his head still burning, and slugs him in the face. "I can't take your stupidity any more. There never was an old man. Maurice was disguised as him so he could try and scare you with some horror stories. How hard is that to get? Honestly what are these kids learning in school these days?" Scizor says angrily. One trainer leans over to another one and whispers "Since when can pokemon talk?" Before the other trainer could respond Scizor slugs both of them. Maurice dumps a bucket of water on Scizor and then drags him away. "You keep hitting them like that then I won't have anyone to fight against. So just go settle down over there." Maurice says calmly and gives him a little push. The three trainers he slugged are on the ground with blood coming out of their ears and twitching uncontrollably. "Now then. Which trainer would like to try and win the badge first?" He asks. The remaining trainers raise their hands. The three on the ground stop twitching and are completely motionless. Ash walks in as Scizor walks out with a blackened head. The first trainer steps into the box and Maurice sits down on the throne. "How are you doing today?" Maurice asks. "Not bad." The trainer replies and sends out Pinsir. Maurice sends out Charizard and smiles. "Fight!" Shouts the ref. Pinsir runs towards Charizard and tackles him. As they tumble backwards they burst into flames and Charizard is the only one remaining. He gets up and brushes the ashes off. The next trainer steps into the box pulls out a pokeball. "How are you doing today?" Maurice asks. "Fine. How about you, Legend?" The trainer replies. "Very good." Maurice replies with a small chuckle. The trainer sends out an Arbok and Maurice sends out an injured Shuckle. Arbok wraps around Shuckle and quickly bites it's head. The poison from Arbok kills Shuckle almost instantly. The trainer wins and is given the badge. The next seven trainers all call Maurice "Legend" before the match and win the badge. Ash steps into the box and says "Why is everyone calling you a Legend?" "They do it out of respect. I am the only real legend on the Dark Islands." Maurice replies. "I have never heard of you before I came here." Ash replies. "You have never heard of anyone here before you got here." Maurice replies. "The only true legends here are Ash Ketchum and Gary Oak. You, Maurice, aren't legend anywhere but in this forsaken town." Someone says from the front doors. "Shino?" Maurice says looking at the silhouette that looks like Shino. "Here Ash take this." Maurice says running by him and tossing him the badge. Maurice stops dead in his tracks and doesn't say a word.

Ash and Misty are sitting down in a very expensive restaurant together all by themselves. The head waiter comes up to them and says "You must be friends of Mr. Shino. The entire restaurant is yours. What ever you need feel free to ask. And we mean anything. Our purpose here tonight is to make sure you are well taken care of. Mr. Shino has instructed me to give you this." He hands Ash a note. "Ash, I realize you don't like me for many reasons. That's fine but you are a dumbass. Take this opportunity to make Misty yours. Don't screw it up. Again." The note says. The lights dimmed and hundreds of candles are lit all around the room. Across the street Gary and Karen are seated at a different restaurant. The head waiter there hands Gary a note. "Gary, I know you despise me. I don't give a shit how you feel. I won't be around for awhile hell I may not even survive the night, but if anything happens to her and you didn't do everything in your power to stop it then I guarantee you will vanish without a trace. Keep her safe." Reads the note. While Gary was reading a band started to play and Karen left with Scizor to dance. Gary looks up and sees that she is missing. He looks around franticly and sees Scizor dancing with her. He lets out a sigh of relief. Meanwhile Shino has his hands up in the air and is being searched by the two guys he let go earlier. "He's clean. He has nothing on him. No cell phone. No wallet. Not even car keys. He doesn't even have a pokeball." Says the one without ears. "Tell me something, Shino. Where is that precious Scizor of yours?" The voice asks as the two guys vanish into the darkness. "Out to dinner. I gave him to Karen along with the rest of my possessions." Shino replies. There is a long silence and then the voice says "How does it fell to be completely alone? Knowing that no one is going to come in and save you. Akurei and his siblings have gone to Jhoto. Maurice and Guadalupe are getting things ready for their upcoming marriage. Karen is out to dinner with Gary and Scizor. Ash is having a very intimate dinner with Misty. And here you are completely and utterly alone. How does it feel?" The voice says. Shino smiles and says "I have been alone since my aunt died. It may not appear that way to the outside world but that is the truth. The people you call my friends are not. They are acquaintances. I have no friends. No family. The pokemon I had were rejected by society for being to cruel. There was very little trust amongst us. We stuck together because we were alike. That's all." Shino replies looking around as he spoke. "What about Karen? She has stuck by you all this time. Aren't there feelings in that demon heart of yours for her?" The voice asks. Shino laughs a little and says "At one time there may of been. I know she loves me for some reason. And know matter what I say or do she won't leave my side." Shino replies. "What about the recent events with her?" The voice asks. A newspaper is tossed from the darkness and lands at Shino's feet. "It's Official! The Shinogami has finally claimed her." The headlines say over a picture of Shino and Karen walking hand in hand in their kimonos. Shino smiles and says "Just saying what she wanted to hear. Why are you so interested in Karen? It's almost like you want me out of the picture so you can try and take her for yourself." "Of course I want to take her for myself. Name one guy who wouldn't." The voice says. "Ash Ketchum." Shino says. "He is an idiot. Think about it. I kill you and put your dead body on display then charge admittance to see it. I could make a fortune. Not to mention the huge reward on you would be mine. Karen wouldn't be able to resist. Now let's get on with the show." The voice says as all the lights come on. The room is a large circle and a hundred men armed with M16s are strategically placed everywhere. A man in a wheelchair sits in a large glass room above the door. "I have learned that pokemon respect you too much to actually kill you. So I have hired these mercenaries to kill you. Let's see you survive this." The man says and the light goes on in the room. "Larry. I knew it. Those two over there told me all about this little scheme of yours. (points at the two guys who he had let go earlier) Oh, I am sure you are off to relay our wonderful little chat to Karen and when you do tell her to keep the stone safe." Shino says putting his hands behind his head. "I will. I must be off to get the woman of my dreams. As for you two. You lied to me and said you escaped. Now for that you must die as well." Larry says and disappears into the back of the box. Several shots go off and the two guys drop to the ground bleeding. "It is a real honor to meet you Mr. Shinogami." The leader of the mercenaries says. "Please call me Shino. And its nice to meet you. Too bad its not under different circumstances." Shino says extending his hand out. "Yeah. But a job is a job. How would you prefer we did this? Hand to hand? Or firing squad?" The leader asks shaking Shino's hand. "Why are you giving me a choice?" Shino asks and puts his hands back behind his head. "That is the way we operate. We give almost all of our targets the option. Since I know you won't take suicide I won't offer it." says the leader. Shino stands there for a minute and says "What do you get out of all this? I mean. Larry is going to take the credit for this whole thing and try to get the girl as well. He is also going to get the bounty on my head. What do you guys get?" The leader smiles and says "Trying to use logic against us isn't going to work. We will get a large portion of your bounty. Not to mention someone will want him dead for killing you. So we get to stay in business long after you are gone." Shino nods his head in agreement and says "So you guys have this all thought out. What if he doesn't pay?" "Then we come to collect anything of value. And from the way he talks he would give anything to keep this Karen person safe. So we have back up plans to our back up plans. Now enough stalling, how would you like to die?" Replies the leader. "Hand to hand sounds good. I was born a fighter and will die a fighter." Shino replies taking his coat off. The mercenaries toss their guns away and draw their knives. They start to make their way towards Shino who is turning around in circles to keep his guard up. Back at the restaurant where Karen is, Larry has entered. He is looking around when Scizor spots him and quietly whispers into Karen's ear. She whispers something back and Scizor leaves. Gary is growing angrier by the second with all the whispering but that all goes away when Scizor leaves. Gary reaches for her hand and she pulls it away. Glass shatters and everyone looks to see someone lying outside covered in broken glass. Scizor leans down to Larry and says "Your aide won't be necessary tonight. I am here to make sure everything stays peaceful." Scizor wheels Larry up to Karen's table then lifts Gary's chair up with Gary still in it. He carries him over to another table on the other side of room. He then goes back and kneels down behind and to the right of Karen. Larry pulls out the small tape recorder and places it on the table. He pushes play and sits back while she listens. Ash is quickly failing. Misty has already moved away from him and is quickly growing more and more annoyed. "You know what Ash. You haven't changed one bit. I should of just gone back home when I was at the airport. Tell Shino thanks for the dinner." Misty says getting up and heading for the door. She leaves and Ash sits there quietly for a long while. Meanwhile Shino isn't doing so well. There are several cuts on his body and only a couple mercenaries are dead and several wounded. Shino dodges one attack and gets tackled by three mercenaries. They pin him down as a few others start to wail on him with their fists. They stop punching only so they can stand up and stomp on Shino. Shino grabs one of the knives laying on the ground and stabs one in the ankle, dropping him to the ground. Shino rolls over and stabs another person in the calf this time. The guy drops to the ground and is replaced by another guy. They finally stop to let Shino up. As he stands up he sways a little bit but stays standing. He is covered in blood and cuts. His right eye has swollen shut and the left eye has a huge gash right above it and is bleed profusely. "Shall we finish you off now? Or would you like another beating?" The leader asks. Shino smiles and stands there. "Where did you get this?" Karen asks. "Straight from the demon's mouth." Larry says. Karen is completely stunned as well as Scizor after hearing the tape. "He told me to relay a message to you before his untimely demise. He said that you are to keep the stone safe. Whatever that means." Larry says smiling. "Tell me where he is." Karen demands slamming her fists on the table. Larry simply laughs and doesn't answer. "If you won't tell me then I won't even consider dating another man for as long as I live." Karen says coldly. That remark hit home and the expression on Larry's face was priceless. "I will take you there on one condition." Larry replies. Karen looks back at Scizor who shrugs his shoulders. "What would that be?" She asks. "You agree to be my wife for all eternity." He replies pulling out a ring and placing it on the table. Gary storms up and punches Larry. "What do you think you are doing?" He asks. Larry looks up at Gary and replies "Who the hell are you and why the hell are you here?" Scizor wraps his arm around Gary's neck and drags him away. "Listen to me and listen well. You don't stand a chance with her. There is no way you are ever going to get her. Her only interest is in Shino for some reason. So do yourself a favor and try getting another girl. Sorry to break it like this to you." Scizor says and sets him down in a chair. Gary's eyes start to tear up and Scizor walks back to Karen. "Let me think about it for awhile." Karen replies and gets up. She latches onto Scizor's arm and can barely walk straight as reality hits her. By the time she even reaches the door Scizor is carrying her. She is sobbing uncontrollably as Scizor carries her back to the semi. Ash bumps into Gary at the pokecenter and they just look at each other. "We are both excellent pokemon trainers yet we both are terrible in the romance department." Gary says just before they head towards their rooms. Shino is on his knees panting and trying to keep the blood out of his left eye. About sixty of the mercenaries are dead or about to die and a dozen others are badly injured. Those ones aren't going to die they just can't continue the fight. The leader is standing there with one of his arms barely attached to his body. "You are an incredible fighter. You definitely live up to your reputation. It has been an honor but we must end this before you take out any more of my men." The leader says picking up a handgun. He winces in pain and he realizes his hand is broken. Shino laughs a little before clutching his chest in severe pain and falling face first onto the ground. A mercenary carefully walks over and nudges Shino side with his foot. He looks over to the leader and shrugs. Suddenly Shino grabs the guy's right foot and spins around kicking the left leg backwards while lifting the right leg forwards and up. The guy screams in pain and blood appears from the guy's hips. Shino lets him go and the guy squirms around. Another guy checks him and sees that Shino literally ripped the guy's leg off. Shino laid on his back laughing demonically with his arms out to the side. The laughing slowly dies out and his breathing slows way down. Karen is back at the semi with the tape in her hand. Scizor puts it in the tape player and presses play. They both sit there quietly and listen to the tape over and over again.

The following morning the hurricane has passed and a severe thunderstorm has started. Ash gets up early and is sitting in the front seats of the truck looking at the damage outside. "So the little electric rodent is still alive." Scizor says walking into the bunk from the trailer. Ash turns around and stares. "You? Your alive?" Gary says rubbing his eyes. "Of course. I don't die easily. Besides my captors were morons." Scizor replies raiding the fridge. In a few minutes everyone is awake and eating breakfast. Scizor tells his story and Shino sees something across the street. He slowly puts his cereal down puts his boots on. "What is it?" Karen asks. Shino ignores her and slips out the emergency hatch in the floor. Nobody says a word and a few minutes later an explosion across the street startles them. Shino comes running back with three unconscious people on his back. Everyone in the truck moves to the trailer. "Who are they?" Ash asks. "Don't know. They had tons of spy gear though. I know they aren't ISF Agents." Shino says checking them for identification. "Doesn't anyone carry a wallet anymore?" Shino says kicking one of the guys. "Just going to have to wait then." Karen says. Shino turns towards the chamber and says "Let me know when they wake up." Everyone goes back to the bunk and continues with breakfast. Agent Tendo is on a private helicopter back to Jhoto when his phone goes off. "Where do you think you are going? You have something to be setting up for Shino." The voice says. "I will be back in two days. I have a prior engagement I must attend. As for the trap, no need to worry. My men are getting everything ready. Shino and his companions were held over by the storm so they won't be going anywhere." Tendo explains and hangs up. All day long Ash and all his pokemon helped people clean up the town. Even Gary helped a little. Just after lunch Shino entered the trailer and saw two of the three guys standing there shaking. He looked at the chamber and saw a large high velocity blood splatter and two legs still standing. "Good. Now if you don't want to end up like your friend there then I highly suggest you answer my questions." Shino says. The two guys just stand there trembling. "First of all who do you work for?" Shino asks. "An organization that wants you dead." The first guy says. "That is a very long list. Be more specific." Shino replies. "Why should we? After we tell you you will just kill us anyways. Just get it over with." The first guy says closing his eyes. "Actually I was going to let you go. That way you can tell your boss that Scizor is alive and well and is back in my possession. But since you want to die so badly I will be happy to grant your wish." Shino says walking towards them. Both of the guys step back and bump into Scizor. "It can't be? We have you back at the base. This is some sort of trick." The second guy says. Scizor reaches out with his claw and snips the second guy's ear off. "Real enough for you." Scizor says snipping the other ear off. The guy screams in pain and drops to the ground covering his head. "This can all stop if you just tell me who you are working for. If not the snips are going to get bigger and bigger." Shino says. "Go Vileplume! Poison powder!" The first guy says tossing a pokeball out. Vileplume looks around and starts to release the powder. Scizor walks up and kicks him in the groin. His entire internal (bones, organs, fluids) structure shoots out causing it to rain body parts. "Want to try again?" Scizor asks covered in blood. "Fine. I'll tell you. Just stop." The second guy says curled up on the ground. Outside the storm has stopped and the sun is starting to come out. Karen pulls a pokeball out of her pocket and releases Celebi. "How may I help you?" He asks. "You need some fresh air and exercise. So go play." She says. "Hey look at the fairy!" Someone says laughing. From out of nowhere a car lands on the innocent guy. "None of that now Celebi. Do anything like that again and I'll put you in the chamber." Karen says and releases another pokemon. A Charmeleon is standing there squinting as if he just woke up. "Rise and shine sleepy head. You need exercise as well. I want both of you to run a hundred laps around the parking lot. No flying or shooting. Just running." Karen says sternly. While they are running Shino is inside completely stunned. The two guys slowly made their way to the door and when they reached it. Shino grabbed both of them. He looked straight into their eyes and says "Are you lying to save your sorry asses?" They shake their heads no quickly and Shino lets them go. He sits down and is in a trance like state from the news he just heard. Scizor sits down next to him and doesn't say a word. "Here you are." Karen says walking around the corner. She stops and looks at Shino. "What's wrong?" She asks. "Ummm.... Nothing. I just learned who one of the groups is that wants me dead. And I can't believe it. I never thought he would go to such lengths to get me." Shino replies before getting up and going back in the trailer. Celebi and Charmeleon flop down on the ground next to her and Celebi says "There we ran the hundred laps. Can we go back now?" "No. You two just rest and take it easy for now. If Shino leaves you two are going to follow him." Karen says. Ash has camped out in front of the gym waiting for Maurice to show up. Officer Jenny drives up and says "Sir, you are going to have to move it along. You can not camp there." Ash gets up and walks back to the semi. About an hour later Shino emerges from the truck all cleaned up. He is wearing his normal gear. Black T-shirt, black baggy leather pants, long black trenchcoat, and heavy biker boots. The only thing missing is his necklace. "Ash go get cleaned up and be at the airport in two hours. (hands him a slip of paper) Gary you go get cleaned up as well. You are going to take Karen out for a nice dinner." Shino says. "What's going on? Why are you doing this?" Karen asks. "I am going to put an end to this. So while I am gone Scizor and the others are now yours." Shino says and kisses her. As he walks away she looks in her hand and sees his necklace. A single tear runs down her cheek. She goes inside the truck and Scizor is standing there staring at the bed. "I don't think he plans on coming back." Scizor says. Karen looks at the bed a sees a black golf ball sized marble ball. "Is that?" She asks. Scizor nods and picks it up. "Put it in the chamber." She says. Ash heads over to the Pokecenter and cleans himself up. Then he heads to the airport and waits at the baggage claim for the mystery person. Meanwhile Gary is also getting ready for his date. Karen on the other hand is sitting in the truck sobbing. Celebi and Charmeleon return and Charmeleon says "He gave us strict orders to make sure nothing happens to you." They go back to the trailer and wait. Scizor walks back in with a dress. "Here." He says handing the dress to her. "Who is the person he is going to meet?" She asks changing. "I cannot tell you. He doesn't want you to get involved. So lets just wait and see what happens." Scizor replies. She finishes getting ready and they walk outside. Gary walks up a few minutes later and a minute later a white stretch limo pulls up. Karen climbs in followed by Gary. Scizor starts to climb in and Gary stops him. "What do you think you are doing?" Gary says. "My job. There are two options here. Both of them result in me getting in here. One results in the side of the limo being ripped open and the other is you moving out of the way." Scizor says. Gary moves out of the way and Scizor climbs in. Ash is standing at the airport gates when a small private jet lands. A few minutes later a woman is walking towards him and his jaw drops. Misty is standing there in a beautiful evening dress. "Ash?" She says surprised. "Misty? What are you doing here?" Ash replies. Misty blushes a little as she says "Shino called and asked me out to dinner. He had something he wanted to discuss." Ash's face turns red with rage. "So where is he?" She asks looking around anxiously. "He told me to come here and wait for the woman who arrived at this gate. Which I guess is you." Ash says. "Why would he call me and have me get all dressed up to have dinner with him if he wasn't going to show up in the first place? Where is he?" She says. "He went to finish something. I think." Ash replies. Scyther walks up to them and bows "Good evening. Shino apologizes for tricking you like this but he would for you two to have a peaceful meal together. Everything will be paid for by him tonight. So follow me." Scyther says and leads them towards the exit. Shino is standing in front of a large building. He opens the doors and walks inside. Inside a row of dim lights lead the way to a set of heavy iron doors. Shino looks around the doors and takes a deep breath. He pushes the doors open and walks inside. It is a completely dark room except for a single light in the middle of the room. "So glad you could make it, Shinogami." A voice says as Shino walks into the light.

Shino and two guys are trapped in the mouth. "Where the hell are we?" One of them asks. The smell of rotten food fills the air. "We are in a mouth. I think." The other replies. Shino wedges himself in between two teeth and smiles. Seconds later the tongue moves and the two guys fall down the throat. "Ah what a delicious meal." A voice says. The tongue circles around the teeth and comes across Shino. "Damn one is stuck." The voice says. Shino grabs the tongue and holds it tightly. "I'll let your tongue go if you let me go." Shino says. "Sounds fair. Just stand on my tongue and I'll let you go." The voice says. "Ha! Not a chance. Open your mouth first. I prefer to go out the way I came in. The rear exit doesn't work for me." Shino says and pinches the gums between the teeth. "Owww. Stop that!" The voice says. "Then let me go." Shino says pulling up a large bone from between the teeth. A sigh of relief comes from the throat refilling the area with rotten food smell. Shino balls his fist up and punches the tooth next to him. He keeps punching till a deafening screech stops him. "What the hell is your problem? Why are you hitting my tooth?" The voice says angrily. "You want to know what my problem is? I am in your mouth! That's my problem. And I will keep hitting your tooth so you won't forget about me. Now let me out!" Shino says punching through the enamel of the tooth. Finally the large mouth opens to reveal the inside of a cave. A small fire is the only light. "Well are you going to get out? Or stay in there?" The voice says. Shino cautiously gets out and looks around. The cave is huge. He turns around and sees a massive Lugia. "I figured it was you in there. You are always difficult to eat." Lugia says. "I try to make it interesting for you. Where am I?" Shino replies. "You are currently 208 feet below the water's surface. After I grabbed you a large wave knocked the ship over. So right now rescue crews are busy saving everyone. Don't worry the waters are unusually calm while they search." Lugia says smiling. "Thanks. Tell me how I get out of here." Shino says. Lugia points to a narrow cave behind Shino. Shino waves and disappears into the darkness. On the surface rescue crews were indeed pulling people out of the water. By the time the rescue boats reached shore Shino has reached the sewers. He walks out of a sewer and scares a couple making out. Shino walks over to the docks and jumps in to clean himself off. As he gets out of the water the rescue boats are docking. Shino stands there waiting for Karen to walk by. The old man walks by and grabs his arm pulling him away. "There a lot of suspicious people on that boat. Too many of them were eyeing her. Be careful." The old man says and wanders off. When Shino returns Gary followed by Karen and the Ash walk up to him. "Someone tried to grab her when the alarm sounded." Ash says. "Since you were no where around I stepped in and stopped them." Gary says coldly to Shino. "That's what a gentleman should do for a lady regardless." Shino replies. The four of them walk silently to the hotel and get rooms for the night. The following morning all everyone was talking about was the ferry sinking and the mysterious pokemon that bit into it. Ash and Gary headed for straight for the gym. Back in Devil's Mind Agent Tendo is sitting down in the police station with Diego. "So, word on the street is you and Shino are quite good friends. They also say you two have been hanging out a lot lately." Tendo says looking at Diego's criminal record. Diego laughs and puts his handcuffed wrists on the table. "People say a lot of things when they are pulled in by law enforcement. The fear that they may end up in prison for something is terrifying. You are an interesting person. Graduating at the bottom of your class yet managed to get put onto a major case like this one. This would be the biggest case ever solved by your agency not to mention no one could ever top it. You would go down in history as the man who brought down The Shinogami. Your wife Julie and two daughters Katie, age 6, and Susanne, age 8, would really be happy to have their husband and daddy be a hero. You even moved them from Viridian City to Blackthorn City just to keep them safe." Diego says smirking. Tendo hides his emotions and says "That is quite impressive. You have very good connections. I would like to offer you a job. You put your information gathering skills to work for me and I will keep you out of this case." Tendo says. The handcuffs have frozen solid and Diego taps them lightly on the table shattering them like glass. "Sorry. I don't rat my friends out. I will give you some advice. Your little plan is going to end terribly so go to little Susanne's birthday party on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. While you are there consider the reality of your actions. That one who calls you every time an attack on Karen fails has never dealt with Shino. One more thing, Shino isn't Shino right now he is way to calm for what has happened." Diego says getting up. "Maybe he realizes he is outmatched." Tendo says smugly. "Not a chance. Hell itself would lose to Shino when he is Shinogami. Nothing nor no one can stop him. You my friend are asking for an early death." Diego says and leaves. After a few minutes another agent walks in. "You know that is the third pair of handcuffs that has been broken." Tendo says looking at the pieces. "We found out they have a meeting with a tour manager in Goldenrod. Everything checks out." The agent says. "Good have a couple agents from the Goldenrod office follow them. Something doesn't sit right." Tendo replies and picks up a piece of paper that Diego left behind. He turns it over and sees that it is an invitation to Susanne's birthday. He quickly pulls out his cell phone and calls home. Just off the coast of Tempest a hurricane is brewing. The alarm goes off and everyone starts preparing for the impact. Ash and Gary are standing in line waiting for the gym to open when Maurice comes outside carrying lots of boards. "What's going on?" Ash asks. "Sorry folks a hurricane is coming this way so we have to board up the windows. There will be no gym battles today." Maurice says. Shino and Karen have wandered over to the grocery store and are buying tons of food. The two of them then walk over to the gym where Shino lets out his semi. He parks it right next to the wall and armor plating surrounds it. Twenty six shots are heard and Shino points to the semi. "Cables hooking the truck to the ground." Shino explains and loads the groceries into the truck. Ash has begun to help Maurice board up the few windows while Gary stands next to Karen. "No one is going to do anything with Shino right there so go do something else." Karen says and climbs into the truck. "Thanks for your help." Maurice says shaking his hand. The wind starts to pick up and a soft rain has began to fall. Everybody on the streets are running for cover as the winds increase as well as the rain. Shino, Karen, Gary, and Ash climb into the truck. "So how long will this last?" Ash asks. "A few hours." Gary replies. A car flies down the street. "Are you sure this thing can withstand this storm?" Ash asks as Pikachu jumps into Ash's arms. "Just relax. Nothing is going to hurt this truck." Shino replies taking his trenchcoat off. "What is in that chamber in the trailer?" Gary asks making Shino stop. " A very good friend of mine. When the time is right you shall meet him. If things keep going the way they are then you will meet him soon enough." Shino says and plops down on the bed. The hurricane intensifies outside and everyone has fallen asleep. A loud thud inside the trailer wakes Shino. He lays there listening for a minute and another thud is heard. He gets up and goes in the trailer through the door from the bunk of the cab. He looks around and sees nothing. From out of nowhere a large mouth grabs him. "Again Lugia?" Shino says quickly diving between two of the back teeth. Shino looks around and realizes the mouth is larger and the teeth are different. "So when did you get in my trailer?" Shino asks. "You aren't the one I am after." The voice says filling the mouth with the stench of rotten fish. The mouth whips around like it is franticly searching for something. A bright ball of energy starts to form in the back of the throat and Shino hides between the teeth and cheek. "Come on out windshield splatter. I know you are still here." The voice says. "You are still blind little worm." A familiar voice says. " I got something in my mouth that belongs to you. Why don't you step inside and claim it." The voice says. Suddenly the front teeth shatter letting the light in. A silhouette stands there as the ball of energy shoots out. The silhouette vanishes and the ball of energy misses. The silhouette reappears and Shino gets up. "Who the hell are you?" Shino says getting closer. He stops dead in his tracks recognizing the silhouette. "Holy shit! Scizor?" Shino says hugging him. "Good to see you too. Lets get out of here." Scizor replies. "You didn't have to break them." The voice says letting them out on the ground. A massively huge Gyarados is coiled up behind them. "Figures. Why aren't you with your trainer?" Shino asks. "I asked him to help me work out." Scizor replies. "Well I should be on my way. See you later." Gyarados says and slithers out the door. "Where the hell have you been?" Shino asks. "I was on taken back in Devil's Mind by several people. They were headed here and the ferry broke down so they waited. You guys arrived and made them nervous so while they were running from you the sedatives they kept giving me wore off. I came around the corner when Lugia took a bite out of the ship and jumped onto his back. When I awoke I was on the beach, so I came to find you. I slipped into here an hour or so ago." Scizor explains. "Who took you?" Shino asks. Scizor shrugs and says "Don't know. I do know there are a lot of members though. From what they were saying the whole organization while be arriving in Purgatory shortly." Shino yawns and heads back to the bunk. Scizor lays down on the floor and quickly falls asleep. The hurricane is still raging outside with no sign of quitting. Everyone in the semi slept all afternoon and all night. At the Devil's Island hotel Agent Tendo is sitting alone in a darkened room lost in thought. "So far everyone has warned me not to go after Shino. They say he is a real demon. Yet here I am setting a trap for him. Would he really kill me and my men? (On the table in front of him lies dozens of boxes full of case files against Shino) His criminal record has its own room and covers everything from jay walking to murder. About the only thing he hasn't done is sell drugs. My own gut is telling me not to go through with this but then my superiors will mock me for taking this case on. What am I going to do?" Tendo says to himself. His phone goes off and he answers it. "I'll be there. I promise." He says and hangs up. "Its settled." He says.

It is a little after 1 p.m. when Diego wakes up. He looks around and sees Ash and Gary sleeping next to each other. Akurei I sleeping away from everyone and Shino has Karen wrapped in his arms both still sleeping. Diego stands and stretches. Two pokeballs fall out his pocket. "Oh yeah. I forgot all about you two. (He thinks back to the night before and remembers the two guys who tried to take Karen out the window. He lets the men out and his mouth drops.) I thought you two were people were humans." He says looking at two Dittos. "There is something you don't see everyday." Karen says sitting up and looking around. Shino wakes up as well. "What's with the Dittos?" Shino asks. "They tried to kidnap Karen last night. When I captured them they were shaped like humans." Diego replies. "Why not let him interrogate them. He could get the most info out of them." Akurei says pointing towards the chamber. Shino grabs the two Dittos and tosses them into the chamber. "See what they know before you eat them." Shino says and closes the door. A very demonic laugh was the reply from inside the chamber. For a few hours horrible blood curdling screams fill the trailer. So much so that it wakes Ash and Gary. A pounding sound is heard once the screams stopped. Shino opens the chamber door and goes inside. He comes out a few minutes later. "What we know so far is there is a group of people or companies that want me out of the picture. That is a very long list. That aside, a deal was made between the mystery leader and Agent Tendo. A third party is involved, those are the guys who got Scizor. Now instead of showing themselves they have been hiring mercenaries to do their dirty work. According to the Dittos, they were trained by a mercenary to transform into a human as a diversion tactic. Their boss was the five guys we questioned last night. So that leaves us with three known groups that want me dead or behind bars. Plus whoever else is funding this whole thing." Shino explains. "I have some business to attend to in Jhoto. So if you'll excuse me." Akurei says and leaves. "I should be going as well. I have my sources try and dig up some more info for you." Diego says and leaves as well. Ash and Gary are completely lost. "You two are going with us to Tempest then we will figure out our next move. For now just relax and take it easy in here." Shino says and leaves also. While he is starting the truck up Karen climbs in the passenger seat. The truck eases out into traffic and heads towards Tempest. As they leave town Agent Tendo enters town. His phone goes off and he answers it. "The final piece has not been taken yet. So we have decided to let our target bring it to you. Set up the trap and wait for him to enter. Everything will go just as planned." The voice says and hangs up. Tendo hangs up and says "Pull into that hotel. We will rest tonight and head for our destination tomorrow. Go enjoy yourselves tonight." Down the highway Shino and Karen haven't said a single word. They continue driving down the road and a few hours later they stop at a ferry crossing. All four of them get out and Ash says "Where are we and why did we stop?" Karen points to some lights on the horizon and says "That is Tempest. And this is the ferry to get there. Tempest is an island city with the ocean one one side and a mysterious body of water on the other." Shino looks around and notices a lot of trainers around. Before they board the ferry Shino puts the semi into his necklace. Everyone boards and while they are standing around Ash starts talking to other trainers. "Excuse me everyone." A voice on the loudspeakers says. "This ferry won't be leaving tonight. The water has gotten to rough. Feel free to sleep here tonight and this ride will be free. Again sorry for the inconvenience." The voice continued. Dozens of people left the ferry and started making camp on the shore. Karen and Shino stayed on the ferry and watched the crowd. "Would you take it easy. No one is going to try anything." Karen says and walks away. Shino follows and Gary follows as well. Shino makes a roaring bonfire which attracts other trainers. In a very short time the events of the past couple days have been temporarily forgotten. A young trainer takes a seat next to Karen and quickly looks away from her. Karen notices him stealing glances and taps him on the shoulder. "Is there something you want to say to me?" She asks. The kid swallows hard and turns bright red. Shino glances around Karen and tries not to laugh. "Well?" She asks. The kid swallows hard again and takes a deep breath. "You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen." He says very quickly. She pulls him over and gives him a big hug. After she lets him go the kid doesn't move away. "You are quite handsome yourself." She says messing his hair up. "Would you like to dance?" He asks shyly. "I would love to if we had some music." She replies. The kid pulls out an ipod with earbuds. "Lets do it." She says and they get up. They put one ear bud in each ear and begin to slow dance. "I think Shino could be in trouble of losing me." She says loud enough to get Shino's attention. Shino opens one eye and smiles. "Is that so? Well I guess I'll have to battle him for you then." He says jokingly and closes his eyes again. "That's good news for me then." A woman's voice says from the darkness. Shino is laying on his back and tilts his head back. A woman runs out and lands on his lap. "Aurora?" Shino says surprised. Diego walks out of the trees along with Sparx, Paul, and Slash. "Yup. We were passing through on our way to Devil's Mind. We saw the fire and decided to see who it was." Aurora says hugging Shino tightly. The kid dancing with Karen grows bolder and holds Karen tighter and slowly slides his hand down her back. Gary sees this and jumps up. Shino trips him and he falls face first into the sand. "What do you think you are doing?" Shino asks. Gary glares and storms off. Dozens of trainers have swarmed around Diego and his brothers. Several guys have started to inch themselves closer to Aurora as well. "Better not keep your adoring fans waiting." Shino says. Aurora and her brothers form an autograph session and the line forms quickly. In an hour or so everybody has gotten an autograph and picture taken. Diego and his brothers leave and return a little bit later with their instruments. After they get set up they invite the trainers to play with them. In no time at all Diego and his brothers are watching a concert put on by their fans. "Who would of thought there were this many Elemental fans still." Diego says to Shino. "Who is Elemental?" Ash asks. "Its like Gauntlet but Aurora is the lead singer instead of Akurei." Sparx says. A couple hours go by and Diego and his siblings leave. While everyone is relaxing an elderly man limps out of the forest scaring several people. "Ah. Please forgive my intrusion but I couldn't help but notice a lot of you are trainers. Are you headed to Tempest by any chance?" The old man says. He steps into the fire light which reveals his badly scarred body and grotesque appearance. The trainers nod and the old man continues. "I wouldn't go for the badge if I were you. Rumors have been circling that gym for years about the gym leader. Its said that if you lose to him you are never seen from again. Its not that he beats your pokemon but he does it in such a way that your mind breaks from the horrible sights." A woman screams and runs away from the waters edge. A mutilated Mankey crawls out of the water and struggles to his feet. One of his eyes is missing. Several large bite marks cover his body. An arm is missing and blood covers his body. There is a hole in its skull that you can see straight to its brain. The Mankey stumbles towards the fire mumbling about something. He trips and falls just short of the fire. Blood flows out of him and he dies. "See. It would be wise for you youngsters to go home now. It would be a real tragedy if you ended up like that Mankey." The old man says and walks to the boat. No one speaks for a while and they eventually go to sleep. Morning comes and the ferry's horn blows waking everyone up. Within an hour the boat is packed with people. Karen is leaning against Shino trying to sleep when Shino notices a couple trainers acting funny. After a few minutes Shino walks towards them and they run for it. Shino chases them all the way from the front of the boat to the back then into the bowels of the boat. While running through the narrow hallways the two trainers split up. Shino follows the one that went right. They end up in a dead end hallway. "You are truly stupid. You have left you precious Karen alone surrounded by strangers. Something could happen to her and you would be responsible." The guy says laughing. Shino grabs the guys arm and holds it against the wall. Then punches the guy's elbow into the solid steel wall. He does the same thing to the other elbow and both knees. "Just stay here I will be back with your buddy." Shino says and runs off. The other guy has taken refuge in one of the many cabins. On deck several people have gathered around Karen unnoticed. The old man has even gotten close to her undetected. Shino is opening every cabin door and looking in every closet. He opens another door and the guy holds his breath. A horn blows signaling approaching danger. "Everyone please head below deck a storm approaches." The boat captain says over the loudspeaker. Shino closes the door and the guy sighs and knocks the fire extinguisher off the wall. The door flies off the hinges and hits the right side of the guy. "Found you. Lets go back to your buddy." Shino says grabbing the guy's hair. He drags him through the crowded hallway to the other guy. "Now then had you two not started running I would of just asked you what was wrong. But instead you ran making you guilty of something. So tell me what you did?" Shino asks. "Burn in hell." Says the one stuck to the wall. Shino punches the guy's wrists into the wall making him scream even louder. "You are making this more difficult then it needs to be. Just tell me why you ran and you can be on your way." Shino says. "Your girlfriend is a whore." says the other one. SNAP! SNAP! POP! POP! SNAP! SNAP! POP! CRUSH! The guys drops to the ground screaming his head off. His elbows are bent the wrong way along with his knees. His shoulders have been dislocated as well as one hip. The other one was crushed. "You are making this more difficult then it needs to be." Shino says and put his foot on the guy's throat. "We were sent to confirm that you didn't have that damn bug. And to find out any weaknesses you may have." The guy on the ground says. Suddenly something hits the boat hard enough to make it rock violently. "See was it that hard. Now all of the pain could of been avoided." Shino says. A giant mouth comes through the hull of the ship and grabs all three of them.

Within a couple hours Agent Tendo and his men are all packed and on the road towards Devil's Mind. During this time Shino has come across a traffic jam leaving Devil's Mind. As the traffic creeps forward Shino runs through possible people who could of done this in his mind. Finally he comes up to the cause of the traffic jam. As he goes by something catches his eye. He pulls over and walks back to the accident. As he gets closer to the charred remains of what used to be a convertible. "Oh shit." He mutters and stops dead in his tracks. Officer Jenny walks up to him and puts her hand on his shoulder. "No one was seriously injured. The fire was started after everyone got out." She says. Shino stood there for a moment before walking into the nearby trees. "So you two survived as well. That's good." He says. Kabutops and Scyther are laying down amongst the tree. "Yeah. We just barely got out of that alive." Scyther says being the worst of the two. "Someone kept ramming the back of the car till Gary lost control and spun out. Then they hit the car again causing it to roll. I was fortunate enough to get my claw into the roof of the SUV but Scyther missed and was ran over. I managed to get one of the passengers out before they took off." Kabutops explains. "You two did very well. Where was Celebi?" Shino replies. "He came out when one of the men grabbed Karen and that's when I grabbed that guy. (points to a pile of branches) Celebi crumbled the guy like a paper ball. It was incredible. The other guys saw that and quickly left." Kabutops says. Shino puts them in a couple pokeballs and moves the few branches covering the guy. The guy looks around and sees Shino. He goes wide eyed and tries to move. "Don't bother. All your major muscles have been severed. You aren't going anywhere. Now tell me why are you after Karen?" Shino says. A twig snaps and Shino looks behind him. "Who is that?" She asks. "No one special. If he doesn't start talking he won't be leaving the forest." Shino says staring right into the guy's eyes. Officer Jenny gasps and buries her face into Shino's arm. Shino looks around and sees the crumbled up guy. He was no bigger then a football. One of his eyes was visible and the look of agonizing pain on it was terrible. Shino walked up to it and put his ear next to it. He was still breathing. "He's still alive." Shino says surprised. "I will be back in a few minute for the balled up guy. You have until then to get all the info you can." Officer Jenny says. Shino crouches down next to the uncrumbled one. "Talk or suffer a very painful and slow death." Shino says. "I don't know anything. All we were told was kidnap some woman in a blue convertible. No reason was given just a large sum of money." The man says quickly. "Who told you to do it?" Shino replies. "Some guy called us and told us what he wanted and that there was a large bag at the front door with the payment inside. I swear that's all I know." He says. Shino leaves the guy who starts screaming for help. Shino sits down in his car and lets out a deep breath. On the road just outside of Brimstone Agent Tendo's phone goes off. "The final piece will take a little more time. Proceed with your end of the plan. Other arrangements are being made." A voice says and hangs up. "Sir take a look at this." The agent in the front passenger seat says turning a TV around. "Good evening. If you are trying to leave Devil's Mind tonight towards Tempest just stay home. An accident involving one car, has slowed traffic to a slow crawl. The three people in the car were Ash Ketchum, Gary Oak, and Shino's girlfriend Karen. We believe she was the target. Recently Scizor, Shino's infamous pokemon, was taken from the pokecenter in Devil's Mind. On a personal note I want to say this to the people responsible for this. Shino will find you and when he does God himself won't know what happened to you. Good night." The newscaster says. The agent turns off the TV and says "There are similar messages being aired on the radio as well. Sir, maybe we have underestimated him." Tendo glares at him and then stares out the window. Shino arrives at the hospital and heads up to Karen's room. As he steps off the elevator a doctors is exiting the room. Two cops are stationed outside the room Shino simply walks by them and goes inside. Karen, Ash, and Gary are sleeping peacefully. Shino checks Ash and Gary first before pulling a chair up to Karen's bed. While he is sitting there a nurse walks in and jumps when she sees Shino. She checks the patients and says "They just have a few bumps and bruises. She has a few more then the others. The sleeping drug should wear off by morning." She leaves the room. Shino falls asleep at some point and when he wakes up again Akurei is standing next to him. "I hate it when you do that." Shino says. "Yeah. I know you must of been tired. Why don't you go to the hotel and rest up. I will keep watch." Akurei replies. Shino leaves and while Akurei is sitting there his phone goes off. "Hey... Yeah I'm there now... No... Sure. Come on over... Later." He hangs up and leans back in the chair. Diego shows up and Akurei walks into the hallway. "Weren't there two cops here when you came in?" He asks. Diego shakes his head. "No. In fact I didn't see a single person on the way up here." Diego says. Both of them head into the room and see two men carrying Karen towards the window. "Ahem." Diego says. The two guys stop dead in their tracks. Akurei walks over and lifts Karen up and puts her back in the bed. Diego's fist turns to solid ice and he punches both guys in the face, knocking them out cold. Akurei looks out the window and a car speeds out of the parking lot. Tendo's phone goes off again "The final piece is proving to be rather difficult. I think we have underestimated our objective. Stick to your end. That must not fail. It is imperative that you succeed or else." The voice says. Tendo puts his phone away and buries his face in his hands. Shino enters the hospital and heads for the stairs. On his way he notices that it is strangely quiet. He opens the door for the eighth floor and sees five men dressed like swat members outside Karen's door. Shino quickly ducks back inside the stairwell and comes up with a plan. Moments later he is on the ninth floor right above them. He closes his eyes and lets out a deep breath. The floor gives out beneath him and he crashes through to the floor below. During the confusion four of the men are pulled through the wall and Shino catches the last one by the throat. "Evening. Sorry to drop in so unexpectedly like that." Shino says. "Was that really necessary?" Diego asks surveying at the damage. "Why don't you two take them somewhere and see what info you can get." Shino says lifting the guy up by the throat. Diego goes into another room and Akurei enters a different one as well. Shino carries his to the Operating Room across the hall and straps the guy to the table. Then brings Karen, Ash, and Gary over as well. "So. Lets start with your name." Shino says. "The name is Jeffrey and you can do what you like. I won't talk." Jeffrey says. Shino nods and circles around Jeffrey. "Trust me. I have made the toughest people scream and tell me everything. You will break mentally or break physically. Your choice." Shino says opening a few drawers. He grabs several items and sets them on the counter. Jeffrey looks at him and scoffs. "You can try what you like it won't work." Jeffrey says confidently. "Judging from the tactics you used to enter this place I would say you were once in the military. Probably a strike force. Since your dishonorable discharge for killing innocent people you became a mercenary. Someone contacts you by phone for this job. A large sum of money is placed at your front door. Now you are strapped helplessly to an operating table with the worst person in the world who happened to find the extra scalpels." Shino says opening the individual scalpels. "There you figured it out. Now you can be on your way." Jeffrey says. The scalpels begin to levitate and orbit around Jeffrey. "I would like to show you a very special trick I can do. You fill in the blanks about your employer, we both know there is more to it, and you will escape the most excruciating pain you have ever felt." Shino says. Jeffrey closes his mouth tightly and a scalpel cuts the tip of his nose. Another scalpel takes a bit of his right earlobe off. Then another scalpel takes his entire left ear off. Jeffrey is now writhing in pain. "Very good. So you still won't talk. What about here?" Shino says as a scalpel cuts up Jeffrey's pant leg toward his crotch. Jeffrey's eyes widen as the scalpel inches closer. "Last chance before you become a she." Shino says calmly. Jeffrey tries to wiggle free but stops once he feels the scalpel reach its destination. "FINE!!! I will tell you everything just remove the scalpel." Jeffrey says nervously. Shino does so and Jeffrey starts to talk. For several minutes straight Jeffrey talks. Four dead bodies crash through the doors followed by Diego and Akurei. "They wouldn't talk." Akurei says wiping blood off his hands. "I think we have been here long enough. If you two could grab Ash and Gary and follow me." Shino says picking Karen up. The six of them climb into the back of Shino's trailer and share all the info they have complied.

The following morning Ash awoke a little after 6 a.m. and got dressed. On his way out the door he grabbed his phone. He read the message from Shino and headed towards the Gym. Meanwhile Gary is sitting at the hotel lobby waiting for Karen to come downstairs. "He's like a puppy or something." She says to Shino as they come around the corner. Shino just nods and keeps walking. Gary steps in front of Shino and Shino shoves him out of the way. Karen on the other hand stops and waits for Gary to get up. Shino walks to the Pokecenter and straight to Scizor's room. He opens the door and its empty. He looks around and notices Nurse Joy is missing as well. After some searching he finds her tied up and gagged in a closet. "Who were they?" He asks untying her. "I have no clue. They stormed the building and before I could do anything they threw me in here." She replies. Shino then heads for the police station. He looks all around and finds all the police locked in the cells. "What the hell happened here?" Shino asks pulling the doors off the cells. "A large group of people stormed the building and threw all of us in here." Officer Jenny says. "Where are the ISF Agents?" Shino asks. "They left yesterday morning saying something about being called back for some new equipment." Officer Jenny replies. Shino storms off knocking the front doors off the hinges and embedding one of the doors into a cement wall across the street. "Something isn't right here." Shino says punching a car's hood and sending the engine into the ground. The few people on the street ran for their lives. Ash opens the gym's doors and walks in. Guadalupe was standing in the gym yelling at all her pokemon. Ash stood patiently and waited for her to finish. When he walked in all her pokemon where kneeling on the sidelines. "Sorry about that. There was an incident last night which involved them and Shino. As their punishment they will not fight back today. So please use the weakest pokemon you got." She says glaring at them. "Ok." Ash says hesitantly and lets out a Magikarp. An Alakazam steps onto the field and Magikarp flails around on the ground. He eventually hits Alakazam which falls over. "Good job. You win. Here's the Devil's Mind badge." Guadalupe says walking over and handing him the badge. Ash looks at the badge and thanks her. He walks out of the gym confused staring at the badge. "Did that really just happen?" He asks himself before walking back to the Pokecenter. Karen and Gary walk by him and he doesn't say a word. When he arrives at the Pokecenter, Shino is already there and packed. "Why are you already packed?" Ash asks. "Some dead mother fucker swiped Scizor while he was injured. So now I have to find that prick and beat him till his warm blood flows through my fingers." Shino says through gritted teeth. Ash backs away slowly and runs to his room. When Ash comes back out to where Shino was, Nurse Joy is on the phone to someone and crouching down behind her desk. She is shaking she is so scared. A car is heard starting up and roars out of the parking lot. Across town Maurice stops eating for a second and shudders. "Shino is pissed about something." He says then starts to eat again. Moments later a black muscle car roars by causing several car alarms to go off. "Yup. Somebody has signed their life over to the devil." Maurice says. At the gym Karen has hung up her phone and is headed outside. In the distance a squealing tires are heard and the engine roar getting louder. A few minutes later a black 1969 Dodge Charger stops in front of her. Shino gets out and walks up to Karen. He hands her two pokeballs and says "Somebody swiped Scizor while he was recuperating. Take these for now. They are for your protection while I go hunting." Then he quickly gets back in his car and takes off before Karen could even reply. Gary walks out of the gym with the badge in his hand. "Shall we continue on to the next gym?" He asks. She nods and they both walk off. On the way out of town Shino sees the ISF agents at a diner. He whips his car around and pulls into the parking lot. He opens the doors to the diner and accidentally pulls it off the hinges. The agents look up and freeze. Shino grabs a chair and slams it down. "Morning. Where is he?" Shino says sitting down. "Who?" One of them replies. "My Scizor. He was taken sometime yesterday and you guys just happen to get a call to come back yesterday." Shino says. "We were told just to observe you and not get involved. And our orders yesterday were to go back to Brimstone and pick up the new equipment then return here to resume our observations." An agent replies. "Why yesterday?" Shino asks. "We knew you wouldn't be going anywhere till your Scizor was healed up." Another agent says. Shino sat there for a moment, which made the agents very nervous. "Enjoy the rest of your meal." He says and leaves. Back in Brimstone Agent Tendo sits in an office talking on his phone. "All the pieces are almost in place. In a few days we both shall have what we want." A voice on the phone says and hangs up. "Oh poor little Shino what will you do now without your precious little red bug to defend you?" He says laughing a little. A cop had walked by at this particular moment and raised an eyebrow. He quickly heads to Officer Jenny's office. "Excuse me ma'am. I think there is something you should know about Agent Tendo." He says. She looks up from her stack of paperwork. He closes the door and walks up to her. Before he can say anything she kisses him. He backs away and she follows. Once they are against the wall she whispers softly into his ear "Sorry about that. I know you are married but I think my office is bugged. Tell me later." She sits back down and the stunned officer leaves. One of the several ISF agents in the police station saw what had happened and went to inform Tendo. "Don't worry. All of their office and home phones are tapped and we have tails following all of them as well. There is no way for them to warn Shino. Even if they do, its too late, by midnight tonight all the pieces will be in place. He will lose." Tendo says boastfully. Flying down the highway, Shino's car cuts through traffic with ease. He pulls off the highway and zips down a dead end road. At the end of the road a white pickup truck is parked. Shino slides to a stop and gets out. "Could you find anything?" Shino asks. Diego steps out of his truck and hangs his phone up. "Just that Scizor was taken last night. None of my sources know how or by who." Diego replies. "Shit. What about the agents? Did their story check out?" Shino asks. "Yup. Every word of it. They were picking up new equipment yesterday. Who else could of done this? (Shino gives him a look) Right. You aren't exactly the most popular guy around. Where is Karen?" Diego says. "With Ash and Gary. I also gave her Kabutops and Scyther and she has Celebi on her. I don't think anyone would be dumb enough to try and take her." Shino replies leaning against his car. "They have tried in the past. And now that someone was able to take Scizor without a problem, she could be next." Diego says before answering his phone. At the Pokecenter Ash and Gary are loading their stuff into Gary's car. Karen comes out and tosses her stuff in. "Karen is it true that Scizor isn't Shino's strongest pokemon." Ash asks. "Yeah. Scizor is number 3. I have never seen the other 2 although from what Scizor says, they are some nasty characters." Karen says climbing into the backseat. Ash and Gary get in and they are off. Back in Brimstone Tendo is in the interrogation room with Akurei. "Now from what I gathered you and Shino aren't exactly friends." Tendo says. "That's right. We are more like mutual enemies. I leave him alone he leaves me alone." Akurei replies tugging on his restraints. "That's good. How would you like to have him out of The Dark Islands forever?" Tendo says leaning in. Akurei thinks for a moment and says "I would like that but, there is a problem with that." "And what would that be?" Tendo asks. "My sister is in love with him. I have done a lot evil things in my life but I won't be responsible for hurting her by getting rid of him." Akurei replies and breaks the restraints. "I see. How noble of you? Isn't Shino's fault that your precious little sister was shot not to long ago?" Tendo says smiling. "Yes and no. Shino was indeed the reason the guy brought a gun but the guy tried to force himself onto Karen in highschool. Shino found out and put the guy into the hospital. Look if this is all you want from me then I am going back to my cell." Akurei says. "Just a second. Is there anything you can tell me that would help my investigation and at the same time not hurt your sister's feelings?" Tendo asks. "Sure. Shino has two sides. Shino and Shinogami. The Shino side is his everyday personality. He laughs and jokes with you. The Shinogami side is when the laughing stops and the screams begin. The last guy to see that side was found days later and there wasn't much left. He is still known as John Doe even with all the modern forensics. He still can't be identified. Shino does things that horror movies wouldn't do. So if I were you, I would stop now and go home. Your wife and 2 daughters will be much happier." Akurei says getting up and heading towards the door. Tendo swallows hard. "Also I would return his Scizor." Akurei says and leaves. "Sir what should we do about him? He knows too much." An agent says. "Let him be. He could be useful later on. For now, get my wife on the phone for me." Tendo says lost in thought. An hour later an alarm goes off and all the officers scramble. "A breakout has occurred. All officers head for the cell block." A voice says over the intercom. Tendo rushes into the cell block to see a female officer naked inside Akurei's cell. "What the hell happened?" Tendo asks turning around so he can't see the naked officer. "I brought him his dinner and asked for his clothes so they could be washed." The female officer says meekly. "What? Laundry isn't till tomorrow." Officer Jenny says. "I know but I have had the biggest crush on him for the longest time." replies the female officer. "Okay. How did you end up in there naked?" Tendo asks. "Well he said a he couldn't get a button on his pants to unbutton. So I helped him and then one thing lead to another. We... umm... ended.. up... having sex in this cell. After we were done he got dressed and left." She says very quietly. Officer Jenny chuckles a little bit and helps the girl up. "At least he is wearing that tracking device." an agent whispers to Tendo who nods. The agents walk off. One of them pulls out the locating device and says "According to this he is in his cell." Tendo runs back to the cell and sees the female officer gathering Akurei's clothes. "Oh Agent Tendo there is a note here for you." She says handing him a note. "I think I have been here long enough. Besides I don't want to be around you when Shino figures this out. I suggest you take my advice and get the hell out of here. By the time you get this Shino will of already found out about our little chat. He has eyes and ears all over this island. Also that tracking device you planted on me is still in that cell. Happy huntin!" "Shit!" Tendo says looking a little pale. Back at the dead end road Diego is still on the phone and Shino is waiting. "That was Akurei. Apparently Tendo tried to get info from him about you. Akurei thinks Tendo is partly responsible for what happened but there may be someone else behind him. Akurei just wants you to watch after Karen for now till he can get more solid info. You know Akurei he will get you what you want. For now just go protect Karen." Diego says patting Shino's shoulder. Shino climbs back into his car and floors it leaving a large dust cloud in his wake. "God won't be seeing the soul of whoever is behind this anytime soon." Diego says and gets in his truck. On the outskirts of Devil's Mind Gary and the rest are driving along peacefully when a car rearends them. All three of them turn around to see a black SUV hit them again. Gary tries to hit the brakes but Karen screams for him to floor it. In Brimstone Tendo receives a call. "The final piece is in place." A voice says and hangs up. "We are moving out." Tendo says and all the ISF agents start packing their gear.

That same night while Shino and Karen are watching a movie together, the room phone starts ringing. Shino answers it and after a brief exchange of words, hangs up. "I'll be back. There is someone at the front desk for me." Shino says and leaves. Karen turns back to the movie and starts watching it again. Shino steps off the elevator and walks up to the front desk. "Ah. Mr. Shinogami. The gentleman left this for you." The hotel manager says handing Shino an envelope. He opens it up and pulls out the letter inside. "City Park. 10 minutes." was all the note said. Shino crumpled the note and headed towards the park. He walked into the dimly lit and completely empty park. Looking around Shino didn't see anything unusual or out of the ordinary. He sits down on the bench and waits. A half hour goes by before a man comes running into the park. Shino gets up and starts over to the guy. The guy notices Shino and straightens up. "If you are going to challenge someone then the least you can do is show up on time." Shino says. The guy puts his hands into his pockets and says "Well it took longer then expected to set something up. I'm sorry for being so late. Shall we begin?" "Sure." Shino replies taking his trenchcoat off. "I mean a pokemon battle." The guy says. "I know. Mine is injured so I get to fight in its place." Shino says. The guy shrugs and releases 8 Hypnos. "That's the way you wanna play huh? Fine by me." Shino says and sprints toward the Hypnos. He kicks one in the face, crushing its skull, then gives one a roundhouse kick, snapping its neck. The Hypnos split up and surround Shino. All 6 of them use Psychic at the same time. Shino ducks and the beams miss. The guy snaps his fingers and an Onyx shoots out of the ground right under Shino sending him flying. He lands on some dark street with a tremendous thud. While he tries to get his sense straight the guy comes running up muttering something about being just slightly off in his calculations. Shino stands and dusts himself off. "That it?" He asks and the guy snaps his fingers again. This time marching is heard and a few seconds later dozens of Abras, Kadabras, and Alakazams march around the corner. This particular street they are on is only a block long and behind Shino the road goes left or right. With apartments behind him Shino doesn't have many options. "Are you ready to surrender?" The guy asks. "Wait a second you are that guy from earlier. I thought you looked familiar." Shino says pointing at the guy. "Yes and its rude to point. Since you won't listen you must be destroyed." The guy says. All of the psychic pokemon that marched in take aim and fire a massive Psybeam and Psychic combo attack at Shino. The blast sends Shino high into the sky. The guy begins to laugh. The apartment behind Shino has some very special things going on inside at the current moment. Guadalupe and Maurice are having a very romantic night. They haven't seen each other in awhile and are making up for it tonight. They have the lights dimmed, candles all over the place, soft music, and a delicious meal prepared. After they finished eating Maurice gets on one knee in front of her and reaches for her hand. Shino crashes through the roof and destroys the table. He lays there for a minute before getting up. He had landed between them and sees Maurice in front of him with a ring in one hand. "Sorry, I don't think it would work between us." he says trying to get up. Guadalupe chuckles at the comment and Maurice punches Shino in the face sending him tumbling backwards into the wall. "How do you always manage to ruin everything?" Maurice asks. "Not my fault this time. I didn't even know you were in town. Blame the prick outside. He as the freaking Psychic army." Shino says getting to his feet. He breaks through the wall that leads toward the street. The guy stopped laughing when he saw Shino coming for him. "Attack again!" He shouts. They fire a bigger one this time and Shino swats it away like nothing. Guadalupe and Maurice walk through the hole and see what Shino was talking about. She instantly recognized who the guy was and his army of Abra evolutions. "Enough! All of you return to the Gym. I will deal with you later. (The army disperses) As for you Robert what are you doing?" She says in a very pissed tone. "Guadalupe? What are you doing here?" Robert asks. "I was having a romantic dinner till you interrupted it." She snaps back. "I was simply removing an obstacle from our relationship." He replies. Shino sits down on the hood of a nearby car while they talk. "What relationship?" She asks. Maurice joins Shino on the car hood. "The romantic relationship between us." He replies. Shino and Maurice are now eating popcorn. "We don't have one." She says still slightly confused. "There is no need to hide our true feelings anymore. You don't have to pretend you like that creep any more. We can finally be together." He says walking up to her with his arms opened wide. He hugs her and she pushes him back. "How did you get the idea that I liked you?" She asks." "I have been walking you home for the last 2 years and we hang out a lot." He replies. Guadalupe looks over at Maurice for a second and turns back to Robert. "Alright. What makes you think Maurice and I are pretending to like each other?" She says. "Because a true woman like you would and could never fall for a guy who is friends with a menace like Shino." He says. Shino started to snicker. "I don't know how to break this to you but Maurice and I are engaged. He just proposed to me and I accepted." she says slowly. "That's only a pretend relationship. We couldn't of officially dated because I was your student. Now that I have graduated from your Psychic pokemon training school we can be together." Robert says full of hope and renewed determination. "Umm. The relationship between Maurice and I is very real. The romantic relationship between us is all in your head." She says. Tears form in his eyes as he says. "What about the two kisses you gave me?" She thinks for a moment. "Those? They were just a friendly kiss on the cheek. I gave you one when I gave you your diploma and the other one when you defended me. That's how I greet my close friends or to thank someone. That's all." The sound of his heart breaking could be heard around the world. Tears began to fall and he says "Please excuse me." He turns around and starts walking away. "I am truly sorry for not clarifying this earlier." She yells to him as he walks away. Maurice and Shino walk up to her and Maurice gives her a hug. "Aren't you going to get him back for what he did to you?" Maurice asks. They all watch him walk down the street. "Nah. I could break every bone in his body and that pain wouldn't be a fraction of what he is going through right now." Shino says. "True." Maurice says. "Sorry about interrupting you guys. And congratulations on your engagement. Later." Shino says and runs after Robert. "What do you want? Are you going to beat me down?" Robert asks as he wipes the tears from his eyes. "No. No. No. I am going to buy you a beer and help you try and forget what happened tonight." Shino says and pulls out his phone. He tells Karen the basics and that he is off to his bar. After he hangs up Robert says "I don't get you. You are labeled as a psychotic killing machine who lacks any emotions unless you are killing. Yet here you are trying to cheer me up." Shino just nods and replies "Yeah. The papers only go after the negative side of me. But you will be one of the few who has seen my nice side. Not to mention I could use a beer myself." They walk down the quiet city streets in silence till they come across a small crummy looking bar surrounded by a large factory. "This is it?" Robert asks. "Trust me its better on the inside." Shino replies. Inside its like an office setting. "Good evening Master Shino. Welcome back." A woman says bowing to him. "Evening Julie. How is it going?" Shino replies. "Very good sir. Thank you for asking. My husband says Hi and if you wouldn't mind my son would like your autograph." She says. "Sure. This is a friend of mine. His name is Robert." Shino says signing a picture of himself. Julie hands him a slip of paper with a key. He reads the paper and smiles. "I can't do that. You know what would happen." Shino says opening the door in the back of the office. As Robert and Shino are heading through the door Julie says "Have fun you two and Shino that offer is good anytime you want." They walk down a long hallway and stop at a door. Shino opens it and loud music blares out. "Robert this is a night you won't soon forget." Shino says opening the door all the way. Inside a massive party is going on. Women are everywhere and Robert is the only guy besides Shino in there. "Relax. They aren't whores or anything like that. Its a singles night tonight and I had all the guys thrown out for you. So go and have a great time." Shino says grabbing a few beers and retreating to a dark corner. He sends Ash a text message and puts his phone on the table. Karen shows up a little while later and they all party all night long.

Just like Shino said he and Ash were leaving the hotel right at 8 a.m. They walked through the town and stopped at the last store to get a few things. A few minutes later they are back on the road. Ash follows Shino into the woods and looks back at the path they left. "I think someone is following us." Ash says. "I know. They are part of the International Strike Force that's after me." Shino replies as Scizor steps out from behind a tree. "Diego gave me this to give to you." Scizor says handing Shino a folder. He opens it up and looks at the huge stack of papers. "This is a list of all the Team Rocket members including a brief biography of each of them." Shino says glancing through the papers. The three of them come to the base of a large rocky hill. Ash stops and looks up the tall hill. "I need to rest for awhile before I climb that." He says plopping down. Scizor and Shino do the same and about an hour later Ash gets up. What starts as a normal walk up a hill quickly turns into mountain climbing. Ash watches as Shino and Scizor leap from rock to rock with ease. In no time at all Shino and Scizor have reached the summit. Shino looks over and sees Ash about half way up. And standing in the trees are the ISF (International Strike Force) agents looking up at the hill. Ash finally reaches the summit and off they go. "Those ISF agents should have some fun keeping up now." Shino says with a laugh. "And why is that?" Ash asks. "We are about to enter the most dangerous cave system in all of the Dark Islands. Stay close." Shino says pointing to the cave. Just looking at the cave made Ash's skin crawl. "What lives in there?" Ash asks nervously. "Its more like where it leads is the real danger. Not so much what lives in there. Scizor will guide us through it so don't wander off. A lot of trainers have died in here over the years. So if you hear screams try to ignore it." Shino explains as they enter the cave. Its pitch black and Ash grabs Shino's coat. "Take this and put your hand through the loop." Shino says handing Ash part of a rope. Ash does as he is told and continues to follow. They wander through the darkness for a couple hours before a blood curdling screams were heard. Ash jumped and stumbled into the back of Shino. "Relax. Those are more then likely the a few unfortunate trainers who wandered in here accidentally. This is sort of a place is usually avoided due to the hundreds of deaths." Shino says. The screams stop a little while later and a few hours after that they reach the exit. Outside a storm has been raging for a while so they set up camp inside the cave. Ash looks around nervously as he sits close to the fire. "Don't worry you are safe here. They won't come around here. They are terrified of Scizor." Shino says leaning back against the wall of the cave. "Tell me what is out there that will attack everything that enters." Ash asks after awhile. Scizor sits down next to him and says "Scizors. This cave is the entrance to our lands. And it is heavily guarded. They only pokemon who can enter here with out fear of being attacked are Scythers, Kabutops, and other Scizors." "That other Scizor said you were banished. Why were you banished?" Ash asks. "I... I was an uncontrollable force when I was young. Nobody could stop me. I ended up killing several leaders of my tribe. That scarred Scizor was one of them. He barely escaped with his life and as a result the entire population agreed to have me banished. I am only allowed to come home if I am accompanied by Shino or Karen. So after we drop you off in town we are coming back here. Mating season will be starting tonight and end tomorrow. So its imperative that I go home." Scizor explains. "How did you meet Shino?" Ash asks. "I was wandering around his town when he bumped into me. We fought and he knocked me out. From then on I have been his pokemon. Enough stories. Get some sleep." Scizor says closing his eyes. Ash does the same and soon enough morning arrives. The 3 of them reach the city of Devil's Mind just before 10 a.m. and leave Ash at the Pokecenter. "We'll be back later. For now just hang out do some training or sight seeing." Shino says before running off with Scizor. Ash wanders around for awhile before calling home and Misty. After he hangs up he heads for the diner down the street. On his way he bumps into Brock and the 2 of them have dinner while they catch up. Around midnight Shino and Scizor show up at the Pokecenter. Scizor is badly injured but smiling. "Boy they are gonna be pissed when they find out." Scizor says laying down on an exam table. Nurse Joy looks him over as Shino says "Very much so. I didn't know you could get that many females. I'm proud of you (wipes a fake tear from his eye). I gotta go talk to Officer Jenny. I'll be back shortly." Shino walks off and Scizor lets Nurse Joy look him over. The next morning Shino returns as Ash is walking out the door. "We may be here a couple days. Scizor got pretty messed up last night. So enjoy yourself." Shino says and heads towards the recovery rooms. Later that afternoon Gary and Karen show up and Karen looks pissed. She storms into the police station and tells them that Gary attacked her. 5 minutes later Gary is behind bars. Karen then walks over to the Pokecenter to see when Shino left. "Room 7." Nurse Joy says politely. Karen looks at her funny and then heads to room 7. She opens the door and sees Shino sleeping in the chair and Scizor sleeping in the bed. All of her anger fades at the peaceful sight and she pulls up a chair next to Shino, quickly falling asleep as well. Nurse Joy wakes them up at sunset and they all sit around talking. "So where is Gary at? I thought he would be sitting at your side waiting for your command." Scizor asks. "He's in jail." Karen replies nonchanltly. "What did he do now?" Shino asks. "His hands went wandering while I was sleeping. I woke up and split his lip. Then we got here and I had his ass locked up." Karen answers. Shino and Karen leave shortly after and go to the hotel. Shino's phone goes off the next morning and wakes both of them up. He reads the text message and then gets cleaned up. An hour later he's downstairs and waiting in the lobby. Guadalupe comes in a few minutes later and gives him a friendly hug and kiss on the cheek. "Thanks for meeting me so sudden. I hope I didn't disturb you two." Guadalupe says. "No problem. So what is the emergency?" Shino asks. She grabs his arm and leads him outside to the busy streets. "I need your help on finding the perfect gift for someone." Guadalupe says blushing slightly. "Ok." Shino says. "Just keep this a secret. I don't want him finding out. He may get the wrong idea." Guadalupe says a little concerned. "I won't but the photographers might leak the news to him." Shino replies pointing to several photographers following them. The rest of the morning they go from shop to shop looking for the right gift. A little after 3 she finds the right one. Shino walks her home and she kisses his cheek again. "Thanks for helping me today." She says and goes inside. Shino shrugs it off and heads for the hotel. Along the way a man steps out from behind a tree and blocks Shino's way. "I know what you are up to and I won't let you cast your demonic spell on an angel like her." The man says. Shino raises his eyebrow and says "Excuse me?" "I saw you two today. She never let go off your arm. You have been trying to corrupt her mind so that she will be yours." replies the man. Shino laughs and says "You are mistaken. She and I are just good friends. That's all nothing more nothing less. Now if you'll excuse me." Shino tries to walk by him but the man blocks his way. "You are a liar. If you two are only friends then why did she want you to keep it a secret?" The man says. Shino pulls out his phone and calls someone. "Hey, I just spent the entire morning with your girlfriend. She held my arm and kissed my cheek twice... I'm telling you this because some prick here won't let it be... Yeah... Alright here he is. (Hands the phone to the guy) He wants to talk to you." Shino says. The man talks on the phone for a few minutes before hanging up. "So what did he say?" Shino asks. "He said he already knew. It was on the news at noon. And an entire news channel has been broadcasting it all day long." The guy says. "Like I told you we are just friends. So now if you'll excuse me." Shino says and pushes himself past the guy. Shino stops at the Pokecenter to check up on Scizor. Scizor is sound asleep so Shino leaves and bumps into Ash. "Sorry." Shino says. Ash ignores him and heads for the phones. On the way to the hotel Shino sees the ISF agents entering the town. They were pretty ragged looking. Clothes torn, scratches all over them, and very exhausted looking.
