The following morning the courthouse is completely packed. All the news crews have the courthouse surrounded and inside people are packed in like sardines. Akurei and his siblings show up outside and everyone makes a path. They come to the courtroom doors where four guards are posted. "Sorry no admittance for anyone." One guard says. "Why?" Akurei says. "Shino wants no one inside." the guard replies. Akurei shoves the guards out of the way and opens the doors. "You know you could of just knocked." Shino says. "What is the meaning of this?" Akurei snaps. "Are you just going to give up and run and hide?" Diego says. "Yeah. Something like that. My entire purpose was to protect her and I was the reason she died." Shino says. "Bullshit. She knew what could happen if she stayed with you and she chose to stick with you through the good and bad. Now she is gone and you are just going to give up? You are a real fucking coward!" Akurei says angrily grabbing Shino by the shirt. "Say what you will. Everyone I have ever loved has been killed right in front of my own eyes. My parents died right in front of my by some deranged serial killer. He hacked them to tiny bits with a katana. My aunt had her skull bashed in by some high school pricks. And now Karen died because some asshole agent wanted me dead. Tell me what is left for me? Put yourself in my place. Lets say all of your siblings died in some horrible way right in front of you. What would the great and powerful Akurei do? You don't know what is like to watch someone you truly love and care for die right in front of you. To watch the light leave their eyes. When something like that happens to you then come and talk to me." Shino explains and shoves Akurei back. "What is going to come of this? You get sent to prison and what? Rot there for the rest of your life? What a great end to the Infamous Shinogami." Akurei shoots back. "I have taken countless lives for more then a decade. I am a cold blooded killer. What makes you think I should be on the streets?" Shino says. "You just can't stand being alone." Akurei says. "Alright. Suppose I don't go to prison I stay out. I end up going with Aurora. Another agency comes after me and end up killing her what would you say then? Your precious little sister gets killed because she is with me. What would you do then? Huh?" Shino snaps back. Akurei stands there quietly. "That's what I thought. This is my life and if I choose to rot in prison then so be it. I would rather have you hate me for doing this then for being the reason why your sister died. This is the best option I have." Shino says. The judge comes in and Shino sits down. Shino looks at the judge and laughs. "Good to see you are still on the bench." Shino says. "Yeah. Its been along time. You were my first case and now you are going to be my last." The judge says. "Lucky for me then. I get the only judge who will actually give me a fair punishment for my crimes." Shino says. "I am to understand that you wanted this court case to happen? (Shino nods) Ok. After reading over the evidence against you there are really only two options I can do. One is the death penalty. Which I think would be the easiest way for you to end your pain. Option two is life in prison without chance of parole. Tacking on the other life sentences would be rather redundant. So I have decided to go with option two. You will spend the rest of your life in a prison cell at the Forgotten Super Maximum Security Prison on Forgotten Island." The judges explains. "Would you like to say something before I make this final?" The judge quickly adds. "Yes. I want to thank you for that judgement. As for my few friends I bid you farewell. You can hate me all you want for this but this is what Karen and I had discussed before she died. This is sort of her dying wish and I will honor it. As for my possessions I leave them to you Akurei." Shino says. The judge bangs the gavel and the bailiffs take Shino into custody. Shino smiles as the bailiffs haul him outside. The crowd outside cheers as Shino comes out. "Serves you right!" "I hope you drop the soap!" Rot in prison you scumbag!" "I hope they throw away the key!" "You deserve so much worse then this." "Hope they torture your ass in prison!" "Karen never loved you, she pitied you." More insults were shouted and almost everyone who could get close to him slugged him. By the time he made it downstairs he was bleeding from his nose and mouth. His right eye was swollen and the left one had a nasty cut above it. The bailiffs loaded him into the back of a squad car. The car was specially designed to do high speed pursuits. "Nice to meet you Shino. Today we will be doing over a hundred miles an hour to get you there by dark. The garage doors opened and the driver floored it. He runs over a couple people who were running towards them. Dozens of people in their cars tried to keep up but the squad car was too fast for them. Within two hours Shino was being dropped off at the prison. The guards grabbed him roughly and shoved him all the way to Booking. "Normally I don't allow prisoners to keep their personal items but in your case I will allow it. Just put all your clothes in this box and change into that jumpsuit there." The guard says. A few minutes later Shino is being shoved and pushed all the way to his cell. As he passes all the other cells, the inmates back away and some even cower under their bunks. Shino gets shoved so hard by the guard that he drops his stuff and hits his face on the concrete floor. The two guards stomp on him and and kick him a few times before slamming the door shut on his ankle. The ankle breaks and the solid steel door is all bent up where it hit his ankle. His cell is absolutely pitch black and has one very small window the has been sealed over by bricks. The door is completely solid steel with a small opening in it to put a tray through and that has a small sliding door on it. It is the very last cell on the top floor of the prison. The nearest prisoner is four cells away in any direction. Shino gets his bed made and sits down against the wall on the floor. "So Mr. Shinogami what are you going to do now?" The little black ball asks. "Sit here and enjoy my surroundings. What else is there to do?" Shino replies. "True. There ain't much to do. So what about me?" The balls says rolling around. "You are free do go whenever you choose. I plan on staying here." Shino says closing his eyes. "Well, I might as well stay as well. Those guards look pretty angry. I have to keep my promise to Her and watch out for you." The ball says floating around. "Good. Now to enjoy a long awaited vacation." Shino says and falls asleep.
