You're always training and trying out new techniques and pretty much just trying to get better. In addition, you are also very excitable and vibrant. Some might even call it hyper, but that's a bit of an overstatement. You throw yourself into all activities and there's little you won't do to have a good time. You're always cracking jokes and doing whatever the heck you want just to be happy. Being spontaneous is your life and you love having a rip snortin good time no matter who it's with.Konoha boys:Naruto: Oh, she's fun, but people keep telling me she's just like me. It's pretty annoying. There's only ONE Naruto Uzumake, believe it!Sasuke: She's annoying. Kind of like a certain loser team mate of mine. She'd been training for three hours straight, and she was about ready to drop. Her teachers had told her she was one of the best kunoichi in the village, but she wanted to be THE best. Maybe it was over-acheiving, but it was what she wanted."Don't you ever take a break? I'm getting tired just watching you." Shikamaru Nara strolled casually out from among the bushes."Were you spying on me?!" Mai demanded. "No," Shikamaru answered easily. "Then what were you doing?""Hiding from Asuma Sensei."Mai rolled her eyes. "You know, you'll never be a half decent shinobi if you don't train.""I'm already a half decent shinobi," he responded shrugging. "And besides, training is such a drag.""Fine, then you'll be the village loser.""Already am.""Whatever. I've got to get back to my training." She glared flatly at Shikamaru. "A sparing partner would be nice.""If I see one, I'll let them know."Later that day Mai at last decided that she'd exhausted herself too much to go on. Stopping in at the nearest restaurant, she noticed Shikamaru sitting in one of the booths looking annoyed. "What's eating you?" You ask sitting down on the opposite side of the table."Usually people ask before they sit down," Shikamaru said with a sigh.Mai shrugged. "Well, I'm not people. Anyhoo, seriously, what's your problem.""I got put in charge of a mission. Leading missions is so troublesome.""You're so troublesome," Mai muttered. "Dude, come on, that's totally awesome! Being the leader rocks because people have to do what you say!" Shikamaru shrugged.The two sat in silence for a few minutes."I'm bored," Mai said finally. "Let's go do something." Before Shikamaru had a chance to respond, Mai grapped his hand and dragged him out of the restaraunt."What are you doing?" Shikamaru asked trying to get Mai to let him go."Whatever I want. I'm bored and you're going to help entertain me. With your shadow possesion jutsu and sneaking skills, I'm sure we'll come up with something good." Mai chuckled deviously as she led the unfortunate Nara through the allyways of Konoha. "I have a feeling this is going to be very troublesome.""Ah! There's Kiba. Mwahaha! Poor sucker won't know what hit him!" Pullling three lolly-pop sticks and a hairpin from her bag, Mai began a hasty construction of an unidentifiable device. "You got any string?""No.""Fine, be a wet blanket. I'll just use my hair tie." Attatching the ribbon to her creation, Mai sat in the shadows and waited for Kiba to come forward. As soon as he was in the desired postition, Mai threw her contraption at him as hard as she could. The ribbons wrapped themselves around Kiba's legs and sent him sprawling and confused."What the crap?!""AH HA HA HA HA HA!!! THAT WAS SO GREAT!!" Mai said inbetween laughs. "MAI!" Kiba growled. "What the heck did I ever do to deserve this??"Shikamaru snickered. "That was pretty good, but I don't see why you wanted me to come along. I didn't do anything.""I work best with an audiance," Mai said whiping away a tear from her eye. "Besides, believe it or not, I actually enjoy your company sometimes.""Hm. I can be enjoyable on occasion," Shikamaru said cooly. "Anyways, I want a spar now. Come on." Grabbing Shikamaru by the hand again, Mai dragged him to the sparing ring. "Alright, Shikamaru, get ready.""I'm not fighting you," Shikamaru said flatly. "I'm sick of fighting girls. It's so not classy, and I have a choice this time, and I'm saying no.""Than I'll beat you to the ground without resistance. Fine by me."Mai ran at Shikamaru and prepared to strike, but Shikamaru simply stepped aside as Mai fell hard to the ground. Pulling herself to her feet with a growl of frustration, she went at him again.After a series of attacks that were immediately disarmed by her opponant, Mai fell to the ground irritated and impressed at the same time. "You're good.""I've been told.""You know, if you had enough motivation, you could be one of the most skilled shinobi in the village." Shikamaru shrugged. "Augh! I don't get you! Why don't you care enough about this? What's more fun than being a ninja? And it's important too!""I've got better things to do. I don't want being a ninja to be my life. I just want to have a normal life with a wife that I can grow old with and a couple of kids, that's all. Nothing special, nothing that's too much of a hassle.""I don't know why I like you," Mai said. Shikamaru looked over at her with a surprised expression. "I don't know why I just said that out loud," she added blushing like mad. "But now that I have, I guess I'll just roll with it. I mean, you're lazy and undermotivated and really obnoxious.""Huh." Shikamaru considered her for a moment. "Well, if it makes you feel any better I was just thinking the same thing about you.""Oh." Mai blushed again. "This is usually the part where we kiss.""Usually.""...........So?""So what?""Well, you'd better kiss me or else I'll make you the object of my pranks from now until forever!""Well, fine. I just wasn't sure if that's what you wanted." Leaning over, Shikamaru placed a soft kiss on Mai's lips. As he was about to pull away, Mai grabbed him by the shirt and kissed him hard and intensely.
