[FANART// APE #2: interlude during battle city]
my friend and i talked last night; and a part of the conversation went like this:
friend: so, are you still drawing fanart?
me [excited]: yeah! i still draw when i can.
friend [in a suspicious tone]: you're drawing those pictures, aren't you? [evil] kukuku...
me: what are you talking about??
friend [tries to shrug it off]: well, you know --
me [catching on]: whoa! if that's what you're thinking, then NO! i don't draw anything offensive to post on MyO, i try to keep it PG-13!!
friend [laughs and bargains, rubbing hands together]: how 'bout PG-18??? PG-18 is better!!
me: ...
is that how my friends really see me? i'm utterly speechless...*sweatdrops* u_u
anyways, so far i've gotten mixed reviews on my 1st APE pic. most are positive (thx!!) while a few of them are negative (well...at least i got you to hate it enough to comment ^_^;;). it's interesting when people say they hate it because they hate mai. ^_^; personally, i think mai is all right, maybe a little too arrogant & has a horribly annoying dubbed voice during the 3rd season, other than that tho, she's OK. everyone's entitled to their opinions, i guess. but honestly, for APE i've to draw charas whom i don't like that much either, just to be fair to the entire YGO cast. you'll see what i mean next time, lol.
well, moving on, as promised, the pic for the 2nd YGO alternate couple is posted; and this week the lucky couple is...shizuka/serenity x malik! :D
admittedly, this pairing is pretty unlikely in the anime as shizuka & malik barely interact with each other. even so, don't you think if smtg like this were to occur, it definitely would spice up the battle city arc (that's otherwise filled with series of dragged-out duels and the charas' ceaseless ranting)? think of the possible romance, angst, plot twists & love polygons that could have taken place! XD *imagination running*...
* * * * *
...anzu wakes up on kaiba's battle city island the morning of jounouchi & malik's duel to find shizuka missing. she alerts jou & company and everyone goes on a frentic search on the island for shizuka. tension & fear mount as it nears noon, when shizuka is still missing and the time set for jou's match with malik is approaching. jou becomes increasingly irritated; to find an outlet for his frustration, he starts to accuse the older kaiba of kidnapping his sister (among other things). seto returns the accuse with some disrespectful jests, thus infuriating jou even more. yugi & others immediately hold jou back, assuming he'll launch out & attack the CEO. but seto only snickers at the ruffled jou & calmly points out that he wouldn't do such a thing since he "has his eyes set on yugi only". (which is true! no no! not in THAT sense!) everyone 'sweatdropped' at seto's comment and to change the topic, anzu suggests the group to keep looking instead of standing around fighting each other.
running out of places to search, the group arrive at the floor where the ishtar family is staying. at the end of the dimly-lit & eerie hallway is malik's room (if you will, imagine the lighting affected by the evil magnetic forces - or chi? - of yami malik). (um, maybe they should have started the search HERE in the 1st place?) uncomfortable of the creepy atomosphere, everyone approaches the door to malik's room slowly. adrenaline running, the duelists yugi, seto & jou were on especially high alert, their hands grasped tightly around their duel discs.
suddenly...BAM! the door to malik's room opens and two shadowy figures emerge from the room. (gasp!) the two persons begin to walk toward the group, apparently too involved with each other to notice there are others standing down the hall. jou, the leader in front, squints his eyes to try to make out who the persons are. meanwhile, everyone remains silent, holding their breath, hands tightened into tense fists, ready to attack.
"s...shi...shizuka?"
at jou's shaky voice, everyone looks at each other quizzically and then looks up at the two approaching figures...lo and behold, it's the missing shizuka & the villain malik! thinking it was malik who had kidnapped shizuka, the lovesick honda & otogi leap forward to try to rescue shizuka out of malik's dangerous grasp. but SHOCKU! the two guys freeze in mid air and everyone jawdrops when they realize shizuka & malik have their arms intimately wrapped around each other; and instead of the usual purple 'jaki' malik always emits, the couple is enveloped in an pink aura of love & bliss..."WTF is going on??!!"--
* * * * *
now, wouldn't that be fun? XP
plot yumminess aside, the two would also be (somewhat?) compatible with each other, even if it's a little far-fetched:
SHIZUKA |
MALIK | naive | experienced (umm, yeah) | worships her older brother | needs to be worshipped | appears weak but is emotionally strong | appears aggressive but is emotionally fragile | has an 'abusive' father & a tragic childhood | (once) threatened by darkness, whether it's the blindness of sight or shadows of the soul |
personally, i particularly like the last similarity they share, so maybe in an alternate universe, if shizuka & malik were to meet and were allowed more opportunity to interact, feelings could have developed and shizuka might have been able to soften malik's heart, altering the outcome of the battle city arc. then again, a fangirl can dream on. ^_^; |

[FANGIRL // a serious, incurable addiction]
the package has just arrived and now my Rurouni Kenshin video collection is complete! yay kenshin i own you now!! *wraps arms around kenshin's neck & squeezes till he's out of breath* XD the missing piece to my collection was the "samurai x reflection director's cut" OVA, which was recently released in dec.2004. tho i've been wanting to get it ever since, i held back because...
1> honestly, watching an hour of spliced/re-animated sequences from the TV series, the charas behaving so 'out-of-character', and kenshin moping around as an absentee father & later dying of a suspected STD (?!!)...all immersed in an overall VERY depressing atmosphere does not make for an uplifting anime experience. u_u so even tho i can watch the "trust" & "betrayal" OVAs again & again, i usually avoid "reflection" like the plague.
2> darnit! i already own two copies of the original "reflection" OVA!! >_<; copy #1 was bought when it first came out; and copy #2 came with the OVA boxset. btw, it's a semi-annoying discrepancy that they've different Rurouni Kenshin logos on each of the covers.
3> having been fed up with ADV, which is notorious for repackaging and re-releasing the same stuff over & over again, i had promised myself not to fall into their trap or to contribute to their corporate earnings in this way again. >:(
...and yet, i did end up getting it (*guilty sweatdrops*). solely on the reason that it contains 38 min. (!!!) of previously unreleased footage (w00t!!) for the DC version of "reflection" supposedly contains the flashback sequences of kenshin & tomoe's wedding and more scenes of kenji (son of kenshin & kaoru)'s childhood! excited? i think so!! ^0^
well, that's it of my raving about RuroKen. i just wanted to share with you today's news of joy & excitement. ^^; can't wait to start watching! ...my future goals would be to own all of the RuroKen manga/anime artbooks and as many doujinshi and action figures as i could find. that'd be the theme of my room, lol. ^_^;;
>> EDIT: i'm totally pooped for today (running around buying valentine presents & rushing to the post office...=_=;). so i'll try to finish visiting all of your sites & post another fanart over the weekend, if i could. so, happy (belated?) lunar new year!! and have a good one!! :D |

[FANGIRL // the YGO alternate pairing experiment 0 + 1]
*takes a breath* i've finally finished two of my YGO fanart! ^0^ after realizing that i slacked off more than usual during january (having only completed 4 wp's... u_u), this month, i've decided to commit myself to trying to post more fanart regularly by adhering to a fanart theme. in honor of valentine's day, the theme i choose to draw is alternate (non-controversial, heterosexual ^_^;) pairings of YGO charas. :D the two pics i've done so far are a "frontpage" pic & a pin-up of the 1st couple...in a childish, chibi style (again?). from now on, i'll try to finish at least one pin-up of a YGO couple every week...well, hopefully, anyways. *nervous sweatdrops*
some people might not go for alternate pairings of manga/anime charas, but personally i love them! so if you like, check them out. ^_^; well, the first alternate YGO couple is...
yup! it's seto kaiba & mai kujaku/valentine!! (of course he'd be the first male chara i want to draw! ^///^)
actually, i've always been in favor of a seto x shizuka/serenity pairing, but visits to the seto x mai fansite Pretty Dirty Enemy soon changed my long-held beliefs. beside shizuka, why couldn't seto be paired up with mai? citing PDE, here's a table that summarizes how these two charas are compatible with each other:
SETO |
MAI |
a powerful & very wealthy CEO |
a money-hungry material girl | cold & calculating |
hot-headed & feisty |
arrogant & self-centered |
sidelined by Team Yugi |
in need to affirm place in life by challenging & defeating all worthy opponents |
|
would benefit from a little soul-searching |
interesting ne? ^^
PDE contains many more evidence & theories proving why mai & seto is a likely couple, which includes evidence from the anime (seriously!) revealing all the vibes & side-long gazes (for real!) that were secretly exchanged btwn the two. so, go visit if you're interested/curious, need a little more persuasion, or simply want to browse around a very creative YGO site! btw, thanks also go to PDE for putting up & to Cerulean san for making the ultra kawaii seto x mai gif above. doomo arigato gozaimasu! ^0^
>> pS: the kanji on APE.1 reads "buchou" -- "commanding officer", "department manager" thus roughly "CEO" (i reckon?). it's the title with which seto is most commonly addressed in the doujinshi i came across. ^^ |

[LIFE // nostaglia setting in]
first of all, i'd like to apologize for not having been on MyO for several days. (why do i keep saying this post after post?? guess i'm not really that forgiveable...~_~;) well, some fanart i'm working on have been keeping me busy; and plus i realize i don't usually have a lot of internet time over the weekend. so gomen ne!! u_u still, i really must thank all of you for continuing to visit & leaving me posts even on days that i don't update. thanks guys!! *huggies* that's soooo nice of you & it makes me soooo happy -- even tho i don't really deserve it. ^_^;
btw, thanks Gray Underpants, animegirl4ever & YokoBandit for letting me know that the alignment looks fine! ^_^; guess i stressed over nothing...hmm, maybe it was simply a case of diff resolutions on diff monitors? silly me...hehe...^///^
lately, my mind is rather occupied with getting in touch with old friends. on monday, i received in the mail a x'mas card i had sent out back in dec. on it, there's a yellow label reading: "return to sender. attempted not known. unable to forward." umm, oookay, but i'm pretty sure i've the correct name & address! 0_o; anyway, i tried to contact that person via email, but her email account seems to have been canceled. so now i'm stuck asking around for her updated contact info. =_= the strange thing is, she called me on x'mas morning for a holiday greeting & we talked for an hour or so, wouldn't she have remembered to let me know if her postal or email address changed? *sighs* darnit! i'm going to send her a (belated?) x'mas card no matter what!! nothing can stop me!! >_<;
aside from that x'mas card fiasco, yesterday, i received an email from my Japanese friend who is currently studying abroad in Germany. we haven't seen each other for a year or so; and since life & academia take up so much of each of our time & energy, we've somewhat drifted apart. i've so many cool memories of our friendship tho. ^^ for example, i remember when i slept over at her place for the 1st time, we stayed up talking late into the night & dozed off on the carpet together. waking up in the next morning, we found ourselves staring at the underside of her dining table & we laughed our heads off. ^_^; you know, in manga & anime, you always see people rolling off the tatami when they're asleep, proceeding to unconsciously roll around the room. lol, apparently, it happens in real life too! ^_^
speaking of memories, here's the theme (chosen dictatorially ^_^) for feb: RuroKen's kenshin x tomoe -- one of my fave anime couples of all time! ^0^ the quote i chose for them (you can see it in the scrolling marquee up in the intro) comes from the song "four seasons." it appears in Namie Amuro's "style" album & is also the ending theme for the 3rd IY movie! currently, "four seasons" is my top fave anime song on the playlist! *hearts* in addition to the charas in IY, i think it suits kenshin pretty well too. well, hope you'll like this month's theme! i'll go catch up on (most if not all of) your sites now! ^^
the night when kenshin & tomoe first met, under a rain a blood...
p.s. yup, right now, i'm working on some YGO fanart for valentine's. i still need to finish outlining & coloring them tho. hopefully, i'll have the 1st 2 pics done by this weekend *fingers crossed*...i'll let you know when i'm done! ^_^; |

[FANGIRL // good news: an update!]
whoa~ long time no see, hope life is going well for everyone! ^^; the good news is i've finally updated my wp's...ever since last year. *sweatdrops* i couldn't think of anything new, so i just revisited the old themes of Chobits & Gundam Wing and made 2 wp's each, spending more time working on some than others *embarrassed*... check them out if you like! you can probably tell i'm currently in love with the grunge brushes, lol. ^0^
in the vein of GW, i choose to share a comic strip of duo today! this 4-frames is found in the back of one of the GW manga. isn't duo cute?? he's definitely one of the few anime guys who can sport a braid (and a long one at that!) & NOT look dorky. others who come to mind include ed from FMA & ranma from Ranma 1/2. can you think of anyone else? ^_^
is everyone watching InuYasha on CN? :D i FINALLY remember to set the timer to record it this week, so i can FINALLY watch the IY episodes airing on tv. yet, since i've missed so many episodes already, i don't even know where i'm in the series. ~_~; (i should really get the summaries & catch up!!) anyway, fillers aside, i do enjoy the "demon head castle" story this week. it's so cute to watch IY ducking behind kagome every time someone threatens to hit or yell at him, awww...^///^
searching for info, i visited the IY forums on AnimeNation earlier & had fun catching a heated debate on the topic: "IY's future: kagome or kikyo?". even tho it's a work of ficiton, people spent so much time to meticulously analyze every interaction & conversation btwn these 3 IY charas to determine what is implied about their hidden thoughts & feelings. i was in awe of everyone's dedication...i'd have joined too had i known more about IY & not missed so many episodes! u_u hmm, it has probably become an old question by now, but what do you think? kagome or kikyo? ^^;
well, last night i visited the majority of your sites who has updated within the past couple days, but i still need to finish catching up with some of you. off i go then! ttyl! :)
>> EDIT: i dunno, do things look out-of-place up in the intro to you? esp. the kyoto pic & its caption? i've been using mozilla firefox & everything aligns perfectly, so i wasn't aware of this alignment problem in the IE browser. eek! i'm so sorry for subjecting you guys to look at things that don't align properly!! *going crazy* urrgh, must align everything!! [FANGIRL // scrapped princess!]
HOORAY! let's celebrate the return of the MyO wp site! ^0^ a week w/o new wp's & artwork has certainly been very boring...hmm, i wonder when it will be shut down again for the next maintenance check? ^_^; anyway, i'm surprised to see 9 (!!) pages of brand new wp's posted up today, guess everybody has been working really hard this week, right? *happily clicking & downloading away* ^o^
it took me 2 days but i finished watching the anime Scrapped Princess, an exciting 24-ep, shounen/adventure/fantasy series. because she's prophesied by the god mauser to be the "poison that will destroy the world" when she turns 16, the young girl pacifica casull becomes the "scrapped princess," hunted by both zealots of the worldwide mauser faith & military assasins from her kingdom. with her life being threatened, pacifica leaves her village and embarks on a journey of hiding & misadventure while protected by her adoptive brother (a swordsman) & sister (a magic user) known as the "Guardians."
a screencap of the 3 siblings traveling in their wagon. ^-^
i really enjoy the setting and theme of Scrapped Princess. :) the story takes place in a world of magic, religion & military influences (think Slayers & FMA) very similar in appearance with medieval Europe. the central theme of human or "free" will vs. the will of a supernatural being is fundamentally religious in nature, but its seriousness is nicely balanced by the comedic elements of the show, thanks largely in part to the clutsy & impulsively violent nature of the heroine. (most heroines are like that nowadays tho...^_^) both the opening & ending songs sound very folksy, which is a real treat to people who like folk music. ^_^; nonetheless, i'll recommend Scrapped Princess to those who like Slayers & FMA AND do not mind watching anime with religious (in specific, Christian) overtones. there's hardly a filler episode in sight, so be sure to get hooked all the way till the end. :D
i'll end with sharing some screencaps of my fave chara in the series, fulle! tho he's a secondary chara who only appears in a handful of episodes, to me he's the most memorable one of all! ^///^
no doubt about it, fulle is hot!! X3 he appears cold & aloof with bored & sleepy eyes...
...and he doesn't care much for crossdressing. but when push comes to shove, he reveals his true nature (a former assasin!...hmm, sounds awfully like my other crush...^-^) and fights skillfully with his double daggers. *sighs* why do i always fall for the tragic heroes?...u_u
well, have a nice weekend guys! |

[FANGIRL // ...thanks!!...]
happy Martin Luther King's day! YAY for everyone who has a day off from school today!!...and BOO for those of us who are still obligated to show up for either class or work. *sighs* ^_^;
w00t for me! over the weekend, the d/l stats of my wp's reached 2000!! *ecstatic* that's just phenomenal; and it's really encouraging for me. i want to thank everybody who has enjoyed my wp's & has left your comments on them! so, doomo arigatoo, i'll keep trying to do my best! *bows gratefully* ^^ (drawn especially for you is the pic "malik x 2" up in the intro. you can also find it in my fanart...hope you like it! ^_^;)
well, my brother ended up attending the anime convention for both saturday & sunday and, according to him, had "the time of his life." (it's UNFAIR, i tell you! *waves fist*) as it turned out, my efforts of continuous nagging & bribing did prove to be successful; and he did buy smtg for me. but since he's adamantly refusing to spill the beans about his purchases, it's gonna be a secret till we get to see each other over spring break in march. urrgh, the suspense!! >_<; of course, i'm counting on the fact that he knows what my fave manga & anime are...hopefully, it'd be smtg cool. :P
i'll go catch up on all of your sites now, ttyl. have a great week!
REPLIES:
to setolover1213: thanks, that's really kind of you to say! since i don't live in japan, the only way i can get my hands on those "released in japan only" items is through the internet. sometimes the search is rather difficult too.
to YokoBandit: Anime Town?!! 0.o wow, i haven't heard of it before. but you bet i'm gonna look it up now; and it's gonna be one of my (top?) dream travel destinations!!
to everyone: yup, Japan rocks!! if i can save enough money & get some friends to go with me, i'd really like to visit that country some day...tho i'm not very fond of traffic, crowds & big cities myself. ^^; if i were to go to Japan tho, beside Tokyo, i'd definitely visit Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto & Nara -- the list of cities my Japanese friend says is symbolic of "REAL Japan." yes, to Kyoto, to retrace kenshin's footsteps!! ^0^ |

[LIFE // ...onegai...??!]
hmm, it seems everyone has left the house beside me. i don't feel like fixing an elaborate lunch for myself, so i'm having a simple ham & cheese sandwich and a mug of nice, hot milk tea in front of my compy. *satisfied* ^-^ well, i went to the mall today to get something for my friend. after that mission was accomplished, i headed straight to Waldenbooks, my fave store in the mall. unforunately, i didn't get to spend a lot of time to browse in there. since it's a weekend, there were many people sitting on the carpet in the narrow manga aisle chatting & reading manga. needless to say, it was difficult to get close to the shelves w/o stepping on someone or having to continually say "excuse me!" & "oops sorry!!" ^_^;
actually, i also like to study & read in large bookstores like Borders or Barnes & Noble. in small stores like Waldenbooks (or FYI & Suncoast etc.), however, i'd like to keep my shopping time to an absolute minimum to avoid getting evil looks from the store personnel. (notice how the manga & animation departments are always situated so close to the cash register?) i couldn't blame them tho, i'd also get annoyed if some lousy shoppers come into my store, browse for hours, and then leave w/o buying anything. but *in defense*...i DO intend to make a purchase! i'm just indecisive and need more time to make up my mind!! `_`
and so, all i bought are Saiyuki vol.6, RuroKen vol.10 (YAY! we finally made it into double digits!!) & a FMA figurine that comes in a sealed box. i was hoping to pick out Edward or Alphonse, but as it usually happens, i got stuck instead with a secondary chara (Winry Rockwell). it's OK, i do like winry. however, i AM disappointed that although it says a small bag of candy comes with the toy, it was nowhere to be seen. ~_~; did the Japanese manufacturers take it out when they shipped the toys over to the U.S.? i know it isn't a big deal and it's probably just some sugar candy very similar to "smarties" and i shouldn't get worked up over it...it WAS still a misleading label! sheesh. i was really looking forward to the candy too. >_<;
hmm, my brother just called and told me he's currently attending an anime convention near his campus. since i couldn't be there *sighs*, i'm making out a request list & some directions for him that i hope he'd take heed of. namely, i'd really like a kenshin statue, in addition to ones of kikyou & sesshoumaru-sama. so, dear ototo, with what meager funds you've, get something for me! *waves fist threateningly* ...we can talk about a tradeoff later, lol. ^_^;
REPLY:
thanks guys! it's somewhat a comfort to know that there're sleepless people like me out there. but i'd rather hear that everyone can sleep well, unlike me. yes, we can really start an insomnia club! and Naide, i didn't fall asleep until past 6am this morning...it's a bad sign, right? ahhh, caffeine does sound good right now.
lol, i wish i live in japan...i could have gotten these cool mini gundam figurines w/ every bottle of Pepsi (Coca Cola is still better, btw ^_^;) at the friendly, local 7/11! |

[LIFE // tired...]
today i'll try to keep my post short and refrain myself from torturing you with one of my long "topic of the day" discussions... ^_^;
well, my insomnia seems to be getting worse. whereas i used to be able to fall asleep at around 1am, now i don't even begin to feel tired until way past 3 or 4am. i don't want to take any medicine (i'm still too young!! ^o^), so i just listen to the radio (usually tuned in to the hypnotic droning on the BBC) until it wears me out. the effects are, on the next day, i usually look like this [=_=?] and space out more than usual.
to keep myself occupied while listening to the radio, half of my bed is taken up with notebooks, my sketchbook, manga's & a couple "how to draw manga" books. adding to the collection of easy-access distractions are piles of magazines, books & library books on the floor. (uh...i guess you now have a picture in your mind of my room as a kind of junk room -_-;). it's becoming kinda hard moving around the many obstacles & land mines. i hit my foot & trip on stacks of books as i walk into my room every night; and i accurately step into the waste bin as i get out of bed every morning. ^_^; that's something i usually see in anime...w00t for me for getting myself free slapstick humor everyday. *sighs* =_=;
my friends think that i don't sleep well because i'm too stressed out and that i "think too much". i don't know, maybe it's just winter blues. for one, it has been really gray & cloudy & rainy lately.
anyway, i can't wait till i go to the mall & the bookstore tomorrow. maybe i can add more to the stack of manga that's already growing on my bed...*turns over to hug books* think i need a nap...*yawns*
oh yeah, i haven't been able to visit everyone's sites in the past couple days, so i'll try to catch up with you this weekend!! gomen! ^^
yes, i do love sesshoumaru-sama!! but loved by myoga??! *faints* i must have really tasty blood...^_^;

[LIFE // a new theme: my 1st japanese myth]
today's my 1st day back to updating MyO after a very relaxed (read: "lazy") holiday weekend, i hope everyone is having a good start in the new year. and for those who are headed back to school -- whether it's to face a brand new quarter or daunting finals -- best wishes!! ^^
for january's MyO theme, i chose a picture of shirahime ("princess of the snow") from "shirahime-syo", one of CLAMP's most beautiful & haunting works. the tragic tales that are gently told in traditional japanese artwork made "shirahime-syo" different from the group's other more cheerful & goofy works. if you like CLAMP or fantasy & drama mixed w/ tragedy, i'd strongly recommend "shirahime-syo" for you. for a well-written review on this manga, check this out from AnimeFringe. :)
when people gloss over japanese mythology, they always mention amaterasu the sun goddess -- well, naturally, since she's related to the creation myth. but actually the less important yuki-onna ("lady of the snow") is the 1st japanese mythological figure i've ever known. a friend (who was it??) told me some stories about her when i was very young. it went smtg like: "in japan, in the days of yore, when snow storms & blizzards ravaged the countryside, travelers easily lost their ways in the mountains amidst the snow. they'd walk on for days, trying to find a way out of the mountains. slowly, hunger, fatique & despair would set in, the snow making them delusional. one day, they'd collapse (or were near collapse) and suddenly spot a beautiful but ghostly pale woman approaching toward them in the drifting snow. they knew it was the yuki-onna...and that death was near. she wept for their demise & her tears became the snow."...
after learning this story, i was spooked for a long time. i became afraid to go out by myself to wait for the school bus on those dark & silent winter mornings, uncertain of what i might see in the snow. ^_^; i know better now, but the figure & tales of the shirahime are still as mysterious & intrigueing to me as the 1st time i heard about them. i tried to look up more info about her in old volumes of japanese culture, mythology & folk stories in the library; but the info was scarce, and in the rare illustrations i did find, shirahime always looked like a creepy woman wearing a noh mask. i don't know, don't noh masks...& clowns scare you? they always creep me out. *_*
so thanks to CLAMP (& TokyoPop?!) who published "shirahime-syo", giving us this lovely version of the snow princess. ^^ anyways, i hope you like my new bg (THANKS dragonrider6 for your help!). i'm still trying to get used to it, but if the text becomes too hard to read on the picture, i might switch back to using a plain ol' color bg in the future. ^_^
BONUS!
for more about the legends of the shirahime/yuki-onna, read CLAMP's "shirahime-syo" of course! in addition, check out...
>> the "yuki-onna" entry in the Encylopedia Mythica.
>> to find out more about world myth, folklore & various imagery used in anime & manga in general, visit Anime-Myth! this is a wonderful site; and i strongly recommend it if you're into folklore & mythology. ^^ |
