   [FANGIRL // i finally got u!...and ?'s answered]

hiyas! did you guys have a good weekend? :) sorry i didn't have much time to go online in the past several days because i was stuck doing chores & house-cleaning in order to prepare for a family get-together. we had relatives visiting from Canada; and after they arrived, i spent all of my time doing family activities, i.e. giving them a tour of American malls, lol! apparently, things are a lot cheaper here than in Canada! YAY for shopping sprees~ :D as for myself, i bought a couple manga from my wishlist & a teal-colored mini-bag that was on sale (ooo~ never had that color before! ^_^;). the highpoint of my shopping trips, tho, was seeing the Rurouni Kenshin series #3 figures for sale at Waldenbooks! (just like finding a silver rupee~ it's time to jump for joy!! ^0^) after 2 rounds of selection, i got 4 out of the 5 figures, including Kenshin as the Hitokiri Battousai, Saitou as the 3rd capt. of the Shinsengumi, Enishi & a grown-up version of Yahiko. the figures are all colored & very detailed -- even more detailed & of a better quality than the previous series methinks! the only series #3 figure i'm missing is Kenji. still, at that time, i decided not to try my luck any further, because it was already very difficult telling the different figures apart with them being enclosed in "mystery boxes." and to select 1 certain figure out of all those remaining would be WAY more challenging than simply picking out 4 random, different ones from the original pool. ^_^; surely, i'll continue to search for Kenji; meanwhile tho, i'm just happy to look at the collection of RK figures i already have! XD well, last time i said i'll answer your questions in the next update. it's long overdue, so i'll do it now. ^_^ btw, thanks for all of your very interesting & thought-provoking questions! ^0^ since it's just a handful, i'll take my time answering them! (<- of course, this is just an excuse to allow myself to ramble forth w/o constraint! ^_^;) *coughs* anyways, here are the Q&A's (the 1st batch from GrayUnderpants, the 2nd from Sitarose & the 3rd from Chocolate Cheese): ^^ DO YOU PREFER SPICY OR SWEET FOODS? >> i LOVE sweets, but to eat spicy foods and to feel that hot, burning sensation travel all the way down the esophagus to the stomach, warming up the whole body, is a much more interesting gastronomical experience! no table-top should be w/o a pepper shaker!! XD DO YOU HAVE ANY FRIENDS THAT YOU SIMPLY DON'T TRUST ANYMORE? AND WHY? >> yes, one, a long time ago. she and i had been good friends for 3 yrs until we got a part-time job at the same place together. then suddenly, maybe the Darwinist nature of the workplace got to her or something, it was like seeing a whole new side of her i didn't know existed. u_u; incidents happened, i felt betrayed and we got into several fights; after that, i didn't trust her anymore. oh, that was my 1st job too. it was quite a disillusioning experience about friendship & the workplace. ^_^; WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE NOVELIST? WHY? >> this is a toughie! having gotten my fill of fictional stories from anime & manga, i haven't picked up any novels in a while. in the past tho, my favorite novelist was Mary Higgins Clark, who is so skilled at characterization, plot, pacing & creating the mood that her contemporary suspense/mystery thrillers always kept me at the edge of my seat, heart beating non-stop till the last page was turned. i enjoyed reading her works; but what i liked best was a collection of short suspense stories entitled "The Anastasia Syndrome & Other Stories." i found out that in 2002 Clark wrote her only historical fiction novel, "Mount Vernon Love Story," i'm really looking forward to getting that book! :) DO YOU HAVE ANY GUILTY PLEAUSRES? WHAT'S THE GUILTIEST ONE? >> oh yes, lots!! ^0^ the guiltiest one would probably be reading shounen-ai/yaoi or other R-rated manga & fanfic. the other day, as i was sitting in bed reading FAKE & my friend called, when she asked what i was reading & i answered, reading her the story description from the backcover of vol.1, immediately she joked: "in short, browsing through your stash of porn, huh?" *HUGE sweatdrops* now, now, i wouldn't lump everything under the "porn" category. and contrary to popular opinion, i DON'T own a stash of porn under my bed!! >_< WHO'S YOUR FAV ANIME CHARACTER MALE AND FEMALE? >> easy! male - Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin! female - Kikyo from InuYasha! ^^ IF YOU'RE DRIVING A BUS AND THREE PEOPLE GET ON AT THE FIRST STOP... 2 GET ON AT THE 2ND STOP AND 1 GETS OFF... 5 PEOPLE GET ON AT THE 3RD AND 7 GETS OFF... WHAT WAS THE COLOR OF THE THIRD ONE'S HAIR? >> ah, this one is not so obvious! because that person was bald!! not a single hair follicle on his/her scalp!! XD WHAT'S THE WORST TRAIT IN A GUY? AND WHY? >> definitely selfishness! i think that many other problems can come from just him being self-centered: problems like being uncaring, unsympathetic, demanding, unfaithful, dishonest (hey, the 'truth' can only work for him, right?)... etc. have you ever had one of those times when he has a crappy day and so expects you to understand & babysit him till he feels better? however, if it were you who have a crappy day and expect some sympathy & understanding from him, he'd just write you off as PMS-ing & being moody! uurgh!! >_<; AREN'T BUCKLES THE COOLEST? AND HOT WOOO AREN'T THEY HOT!?!?!?! >> you bet! they are HOT!! nothing says "i'm a bad@$$" more than putting on a few buckles!! CHOCOLATE OR CHIPS? >> BOTH! but i usually prefer chocolate because i can snack & work at the same time, w/o having to worry about getting my fingers all greasy & covered with salt/cheese/whatever seasoning. oooh~ btw, chocolate-covered raisons are the best!! :P~ WHICH IS WORSE: A FRIEND TELLING A SECRET ABOUT YOU, OR YOU TELLING A SECRET ABOUT YOUR FRIEND? >> this depends on from whose perspective you're viewing the problem, right? generally tho, i think me telling a secret about a friend is worse. because if it was a friend betraying my trust, at least i've the right to get mad & blast at that person. but if i were the one to leak info, i'd be worried about what if my friend finds out or what other people would say...stuff like that. u_u; i'm good at keeping secrets tho, both others' & my own, hehe. ^x^ WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FRAGRANCE? (NOT JUST PERFUME ^^) >> wow~ you like petrol?! 0.o i think you're the 1st person i know who likes the mind-numbing smell of petroleum! but then i guess we're both into some unusual scents since my fave is wax vapor! (ooh~ both are related to the great element #8, carbon!) wax vapor is vaporizing wax, the smell of a burning candle (needs not be aromatic), and it rises from the candle wick after you blow out the candle. try it! light a candle, watch a burn for a few minutes then blow it out! it smells SOOOOOOO good!! XD AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, DO YOU WANT A TAIL? >> why not? ^.~ i especially love bushy tails, like the ones squirrels, foxes & wolves have. (<- all are my fave animals!!) some dogs have nice tails too. ah, Sesshoumaru-sama's is not bad either, it can even double as a boa! cats' tails, on the other hand, are scary!! don't ask me why! ^_^ that's it! thanks for reading this super long update! :D i'll be going off to (as many of) your sites (as i can) now, so...ja ne! ^^
