   Chapter 18
Chapter 18: The First Test!
After training the whole day, Keiko finally let us go at 10 that night. I was so nervous, since the Chunin exams started the next morning, I barely slept. That moring, I woke up and decided to skip breakfast. I headed over to the Ninja Academy, where the first test was going to be held. I sat down near Neji and looked at him. He looked at me, grinned and turned back to face a man who was beggining to explain the test. I blushed a little and then payed attention to the man. "Your first test will be a written exam. If you cheat, points will be taken off. If you are caught three times, you fail. Also, if one of your teammates fail, all three of you fail." He explained. Mizu, Rima and I looked at each other, suprised. We were all thinking the same thing: "I've got to pass!" So after he explained a few more things, the tests were passed out. I looked at the first question. "What is this?!" I thought to myself. I did'nt even understand what it was asking! I looked at Neji, and it seemed he was having the same problem. Suddenly, I saw him using his byakugan to cheat. "Neji, how could you?!" I thought. Looking around, I saw lots of people cheating. Ino was using her mind possession, Sasuke was using his sharingan, and Shino was using his bugs. "Do you have a clue on how we are gonna pass?" Mizu asked me telepathically. I nearly forgotshe could read minds and speak to people through her thoughts. "No....I do'nt understand a thing on this test." I thought."Rima does'nt either....we need to pass though!!" I looked around and saw Kiba using his dog, Akamaru to cheat....I could just call my cat in here....I thought. But she was way ahead of me. I saw a flash of gray slip through the door and down to my desk. "Meow" She said cheerfully. "Shhh now go look for the answers to this." I showed her the paper. She was a smart kitty, she coud figure it out. She nodded like she understood what I was asking and ran off, being careful since there were people all around watching for cheating. After I answered three and gave them to Mizu through telepathy, the teacher stopped us. "Okay now for the tenth question." He said grinning. A long time passed and he still did'nt tell us what it was."Anyone who's had enough can leave now." Some teams left, but I was going to stay. Suddenly Naruto raised his hand. The man grinned. Naruto started yelling at him saying he would never give up and he was going to pass this test and become the next hokage. The man grinned again. Then he explained that that was the correct answer to the tenth question, and he let us all pass. But the girl we met yesterday did'nt understand, So the man explained that the test was designed for us to cheat, he said that gathering iformation was an importaint part of bieng a ninja. After he had explained everything, someone came in. She made quite an introduction. She said her name was Anko, and she was going to host the second part of the exam. After she had finished talking, I got up and left with Mizu and Rima. "Wow that was great! We passed without doing anything!" Mizu said, grinning. Rima glared at her. "Idiot. It's just going to get harder. He let us off easy. The rest of these tests are going to be alot harder." Rima said to her. "Come on let's think positive. If we pull together we can make it." I said, putting one arm on each of my friend's shoulders and smiling

Chapter 17
Chapter 17: Registration Time Suddenly, Keiko appeared, leaning on a tree. "Funny. I was just about to come tell you about the Chunin exam and you already know." She said, grinning. "Good thing all three of you want to compete. Only three-man squads can register. Speaking of register, the deadline is three p.m. tomorrow." We looked at each other. "Let's register first thing tomorrow." Rima said, leaving. I looked up at the sky.It was getting late already. Mizu left too. I got ready to go home, but Keiko stopped me. "These exams have ninja from all over the world here. Mist, cloud, sand, sound...all different types. Most of you will be eluminated early. Don't you three dare disappoint me." Keiko grinned, and disappeared. That made me kind of nervous. What kind of secrets did the other ninja have? What are we going to be up against? I thought that night trying to sleep. My mind kept flashing back to Gaara and that girl. Who were they? I finally dozed off, and had a nightmare about the Chunin exam. I dreamed that that Gaara used some wierd jutsu and killed my friends, and then I had to fight him, and he almost killed me too, but I woke up sweating. I looked at the clock, and it was five in the morning. I could'nt go back to sleep, that dream scared me too much. So I walked to the hill over the ocean, and climbed up the tall tree that had been there forever. I sat on my favorite branch, and stared out at the sunrise. After a few hours of thinking, my mom ran out to the tree and looked up frantically. "Oh thank goodness! I came in your room to wake you up, and you were gone! I'm so glad I found you! Dad was about to get his black ops friends together to search for you." I looked down. "I'm fine mom you don't need to worry so much. I am a ninja after all." I jumped out of the tree. "I know, but with the chunin exams starting and all these ninja from other villages around, I got worried when I saw you missing..." She said. "I have to go. I need to meetmy teammates to register." I walked off, not wanting to tell my mom of my dream, because I knew it would make her worry even more. I met my team, arguing in a resturant, scaring the people in there. After I broke up the fight, we went to the Ninja Academy to register. After that, we met Keiko coming back. "Hi! You registered already?" She asked. "Yeah!" Mizu replied. "Good. Now we get right to training. If you want to live through the Chinin exams, you need all the training you can get." She said, grinning.

   Chapter 16
Chapter 16: The Chunin Exams begin!!The next day, I was watering my garden of purple roses early. My cat was chasing a pink butterfly around the yard. Suddenly, a kunai knife flew past me, just missing my face. "What the-?" I turned around, and saw Mizu hanging upside-down from a tree. "Wassup?" She said, grinning. She jumped out of the tree and walked over to me. "You idiot! I thought I was under attack. I was about to throw something back at you." I taunted. We walked into town, and saw Rima eating rice at a restaraunt. " Mizu walked over with a bottle of hot sauce. She tappped him on the shoulder, then jumped in front of him and poured the hot sauce on the rice while he had his back turned. "Oh Ari. Where is Mizu and Keiko?" He said, eating more rice. "Hmm...he looked and saw all the hot sauce. Thanks Mizuthis tastes good." He said. Mizu rose up from under a nearby table. "Aww I expected you head to blow off from the hotness."She teased. We walked out into the street, and talked as we looked for Keiko. Meanwhile, Keiko was with Kakashi, Guy, Sarutobi, Kurinai, and the 3rd hokage. "I, Keiko Megumi, Reccomend Ari Yukino, Mizu Hyuga, and Rima Hime for the Chunin Exam. She said bodly. Iruka came in. "Are you people insane? These genin are notready to compete in the chunin exams!!" He yelled. "Who are you saying is'nt ready? My students show alot of natural talent and are advanced to be genin." Keiko shouted backat him. The argument raged on for an hour, with Kakashi, Keiko, and Sarutobi saying the genin were ready, while Iruka protested that they were'nt. The Hokage and Kurenai stayed out of it and just watched. Iruka finally gave in and walked away. He decided to test the genin to see if they were ready. I was talking to Mizu when someone caught my eye. It was a ninja I had never seen before. Firey red hair, a gourd on his back, and a headband with a wierd symbol on it. It lookedlike an hourglass. Rima saw him too. "What are sand ninja doing here?" He said quietly. Mizu walked over to him. "Hi!"She said cheerfully. The boy just glared at her. "My name is Mizu and these are my friends Rima and Ari!" She said, pointingto us. He looked at Rima suspicously. Rima walked over. "Youre a sand ninja, right? Why are you here in our village?" He asked. Suddenly a girl with blonde hair appeared. She had a large fan on her back. "Don't mess with Gaara." She said seriou-sly. The reason we are here is because of the Chunin exams. You must be new genin. How cute. The girl teased. She looked at Gaara and they walked away. "Chunin exam.." Rima looked excited. "Yeah! Let's go for it!" Mizu shouted. They both looked at me. I smiled. "What the heck? Let's do it!" I exlaimed. "YEAH!" Mizu shouted.

   Chapter 15
Chapter 15: Secrets Revealed! Amai slowly woke up. "Hey. Are you alright?" Keiko said to her. "Y-yeah...I was really scared." She said in a sleepy voice. Keiko smiled.
The woman ran over and picked her up. "I'm sorry for the trouble we caused you. You see, the reason that we needed a bodyguard was because.....Amai has unusual and mystical power untapped inside of her. No one can explain it. Many ninja would love to harness that kind of strength for themselves, and Amai cannot control it, so we needed someone to bring her here safely. "Wow! You mean that little girl has magic powers?" Mizu asked, eyes wide. The man walked up beside the woman and patted Amai on the head. "We don't know, but she would make a fine ninja one day. I'm so glad she is safe. If it was'nt for you, she would'nt be here to even start school at the Ninja Academy. I can't tell you how grateful we are with words that she is home and safe. "Thank you." Keiko turned around to face us. "Alright crew, go home and get some rest. Tomorrow will be different from any other day. I have a meeting to go to, but I will be seeing you later on tomorrow. Use that time wisely. There are greater challenges before you than anything you have faced before."Keiko grinned and left.

   Chapter 14

Chapter 14: The Final Rush!
Mizu helped get Rima unpinned from the tree. "Come out! We know you are hiding somewhere. Your cheap clones can't fool
us!" I shouted. Meanwhile, Keiko was in an intense battle with Toshi. They seemed evenly matched. "Funny. I thought kid-
nappers who hung out in fortresses and had lotsa bodyguards were weak." She said, blocking his attacks and trying to cou-
nter attack. "Why do you think they call me "Master"?" He said, grinning. Suddenly, Kusuri jumped out of nowhere and
punched me with such force that I was sent flying backwards and crashed into a tree. "Ari!!" Both of my friends called
at once. Rima got angry. Suddenly, he had a evil look in his eye, like an assassin has right before he kills. He ran
straight for Kusuri with incredible speed. Then he started pummeling her with a flurry of punches. When she was finally
able to knock him off, he got back up and focused all of his chakra. Then he picked up and hurled a large stone at Kusuri, who was charing for him, about to throw knives. It hit her, and sent her backwards, then crashed overtop of her, clearly killing her. "Never...mess..with..my..friends..." He said, then he passed out from using too much chakra. "Rima!" Mizu shouted, running to his side. I then watched Keiko. She had knocked Toshi down by now, and stabbed him with a knife. Then she gently picked up Amai. "Let's get outta here." She said, walking through the woods back to the path that led to Konoha. "Wow. I did'nt know my students were so strong. Rima has alot of untapped strength and natural talent. I wonder how he became so quick and skilled. And he seemed to have no guilt when he killed Kusuri, which is unusual for a new genin.." Keiko thought. She had him over one of her shoulders, and Amai over the other. Soon we approached the village. We returened to the building where we had taken the mission, and two people where waiting for us."Oh we are so relived! We have waited here all night!" The woman said. "All night? We fought since yesterday morning? No wonder I'm so tired." I thought.

   Chapter 13!!
Chapter 13: Sacrifical Fights
"You just look like a pretty, harmless girl in a kimono." Rima said, with a taunting face. She glared at him. "How dare
you speak to me like that!" She scolded. "Shadow Needle jutsu!" Black needles came out of nowhere and hit Rima at once.
They pinnned him aginst a tree. "No one can talk to me like that and live." She pulled out a knife. "It was a compliment.."
Rima replied, badly injured. "You get away from him! Your are definetely not his type!" Mizu came out of nowhere, and
doused Kusuri in water. "Nobody can yell at Rima and beat him up except me and Keiko! Remember that!" Mizu yelled. Kusuri
immedialtly got back up, and punched Mizu. "Little brat. You messed up my hair." Kusuri said. I looked over at Keiko, and
she was busy fighting Toshi. "I guess it's up to me to defeat Kusuri..." I thought. "One little brat left, huh?" Kusuri
said, grinning as she approached me. Rima was struggling. "Ari!! No!" He shouted. I pulled out shruiken. "I can take care
of myself, Rima." I said, throwing the shruiken. "Those toys will not even be able to touch me......" She said, dissappoin-
ted. She caught them with ease, then threw them back at me. "No!" Rima sounded close to tears. They hit me, knocking me to
the ground. "How pathetic. Not a challenge at all, and your little friend seems to care so much." She said standing over
me. My body turned to a rose. "Take this!" I called from behind her. I threw my roses, and they exploded into needles that
struck Kusuri. Then I made hand signs. "Whirlwind jutsu!" I shouted. Leaves from a nearby tree blew off and flew toward
Kusuri, sharp as knives. "Do'nt make me laugh." She regained her balance, and dissappeared. "Shadow clone jutsu!" She shouted.
Suddenly, something grabbed my hair, which was braided in the back. It was a clone. The other Kusuris came after my fri-
ends. "No! I whon't let you!" I shouted. "Nothing you can do. I've got the cat by it's tail." The Kusuri clone said. "The
only thing I can do....." I thought. I pulled out a knife, and cut off my hair. Then I ran after the clones about to att-
ack my friends. I used my Rose Needles to defeat the clones. By that time, Mizu was back in comission. "Ari...your hair!
She looked at my hair, now above my shoulder, when it used to hang half-way down my back. "Really, it's okay. A small price to pay
for my friend's safety." I said, smiling. Then I got back into battle mode. The real Kusuri was probably hiding nearby.

   Chapter 12!
*This starts to get violent lots of fighting!*
Chapter 12: The Misty Fortress!
After Keiko made sure we were all okay, we made our way into the fortress. "Let me take care of any ninja who try to get in
our way." Rima whispered to us. "I would fell bad if your girls got hurt." Keiko glared at him. "You do'nt need to worry ab-
out us, Rima." I thought. We came to a stairwell. "Is'nt there an elevator?!" Mizu complained. "Shut up fool!" Rima put his
hand over her mouth. "Do you want anyone else to find out we're here?" He whispered angrily to her. "No...I'm sorry." She
said quietly in a muffled voice. We walked up the flight of stairs. Five ninja jumped down into the room from the stairs
leading up on the other side of the room. "I'm sorry, but Master Toshi is busy. We cannot allow you to bother him." One of
the hooded ninja said. "Well, let's just say we have an appointment!" Rima,(acting before thinking as always) charged right
in and began beating on the ninja that had spoke. One of the other ninja grabbed him and tossed him down the stairs.Oh no!
RIMA!!" Mizu shouted, running after him. "Hold them off. I'll take care of them quickly but I need a minute." Keiko told me,
then she began to say some sort of spell. I pulled out some roses. "Rose needle jutsu!" And threw them. The ninja were rea-
dy to dodge, but when the roses turned into needles, it threw them off. "What kind of jutsu is this?" One ninja said, as
the needles stuck in them. "Wind spirit! Summoing jutsu!" I heard Keiko shout from behind me. Hundreds of transparent
ghost-like creatures came through the walls and attacked. In no time, the creatures had beaten all five ninja down. Mizu
came back up the stairs, trying her hardest to help Rima, who was looking tired. "We can't go on much longer..." Keiko
said, looking at Rima sadly. "Rima, if we have to fight anymore, you stay out of it. We can handle anything else. Rima
looked at her like she did'nt know what she was talking about. "I..can't..let...you..get..hurt!" He said. "Do'nt worry
about us! We'll be fine." Mizu grinned. We made our way to the next floor. It was covered in mist. "Those were mere genin.
Worthless. We are much stronger than them. Four ninja came out of the mist. "I'll take care of them!" Mizu said, stepping
forward. "How can you fight them when you can't see?" I asked her. "Yeah..do'nt do it!" Rima said. "Do'nt fret. I'm
psychic, plus I have the byakugan. I can sense them without even having to see. "You still can't handle four chunin alone.
I'll go with you." Keiko said. They dissappared into the mist. I sat down beside Rima. He looked upset. "I'm sorry I could-
'nt protect you.." He said. I looked at him. "Rima, do'nt worry about it. We may not look that strong, but we are skilled
ninja. You do'nt need to worry about protecting us." I said smiling at him. Rima looked into the mist. "I'm still going to
blame myself if anything happens to Mizu." He said, worrying. "I do'nt think they know it, but Rima and Mizu seem to be
falling in love." I thought, holding back a giggle.
Soon, Keiko and Mizu came out of the mist, slightly injured. Rima sighed in relief. "There are more stairs on the other
side." Keiko said. "They really need to install an elevator!" Mizu said. I giggled at her joke. Rima just grinned and turn-
ed his head. On the next floor, we encountered three more ninja. The room was clear and Rima was feeling better, so him and
I jumped in and fought those ninja. We suffered some damagae, but won in the end. "Are you guys okay?" Mizu asked as we
walked to the next stairway. "I hope we get to the top soon!" Keiko said. "All of these ninja are wearing us out!" On the
next floor, only two ninja were there. They looked even stronger. "We are'nt like the weaklings before." One ninja said.
"We are Master Toshi's personal guards." The other said. "I do'nt care if you are his mother! I'm taking you out!" Rima
said, fed up with all of the fights. He punched the ground, and it cracked. The force of the punch caused the whole fort-
ress to start crumbling. "We better get out of here!" Mizu shouted. Keiko looked around. She pointed to a window. "Right!"
Rima kicked the window and broke the glass. We all jumped out and landed on a nearby tree branch just as the castle began
to crash to the ground. After the dust cleared, two figures stood among the wreckage. "You sure have made a mess of my
beautiful castle." A man in a black robe said, holding and unconsouis Amai. "Amai!!" We all shouted, jumping out of the
tree. The figure beside him stepped up. "Allow me to handle these pests." She said. "I'm Kusuri. Master Toshi's loyal
servant. I am also his strongest and most relaiable guard." She said, giving us and evil grin.

   Chapter 11
Chapter 11: The Deadly Mission! pt.2
"Who are you guys anyway?" Mizu asked the three mysterious ninja. The female member spoke up. "We're mist ninja working for
Master Toshi. I'm Kyo, and these guys are Kai and Shi." She pointed to the two guys behind her. "Great. It'll be one on one.
I call the hooded guy wearing the glasses." Rima said. "Heh. Interesting." Shi replied. "Stop goofing off! This is serious!"
Keiko scolded. Rima was'nt listening. He ran straight for the hodded guy. "I who'nt let you near my friends!" He shouted.
Shi just stood there with a suspicous smirk on his face. Rima jumped, and started pummeling him when he got close enough.
The punches did'nt seem to affect Shi at all. "Are'nt you girls forgetting us?" Kai said. "Let's get rid of these guys while
Rima's busy." I said, glaring and reaching for a rose. "O-kay!" Mizu shouted, full of confidence. I made hand signs. "Petal
Tornado jutsu!" I shouted. "What do you expect to do? Petal tornado? What kind of lame name for a jutsu is that?" Kyo teased.
I ran as fast as I could go around Kyo in a circle, sturring up wind. Soon a high wind was surrounding her,
in the form of a tornado. I threw in some roses. The petals blew off and turned razor-sharp. They swirled around,
slashing and cutting into Kyo. I glanced over at Kai, and saw Mizu using one of her jutsu. "I sure hope this works..." She
said quietly. "Byakugan!" She shouted. "I nearly forgot that she was a hyuga..." I thought. She ran up and hit Kai as hard
as she could. "Ha! I blocked your chakra points. Now there is'nt a thing you can do!" she said laughing. "Don't turn your
back on an enemy!" Kyo said from behind me. She was schratched up pretty badly, but still alive and able to fight. She punch-
ed me and sent me flying. "Ari!" Keiko said. She ran up behind Kyo and kicked her with her heeled shoes. "Bet that hurt!
Unless you like pain, stay away from my students." Keiko said, clearly angry. Kyo did'nt move. I got up, and found that
nothing was broken. Rima was having a hard time taking Shi down, his punches and kicks did'nt hurt him at all. "I guess I
have to break out my own specail jutsu!" He said with a slight grin. "Or maybe you're just too weak." Shi replied. "You'll eat
those words! Tremor jutsu!" He punched the ground, and the earth broke in half. Shi tried to get out of the way, but he fell
in the gap. Mizu and Kai were punching and kicking at each other, no one winning. Rima krept up behind Kai, and kicked him
as hard as he could in the back of the head. "Thank you Rima." Mizu said, breathing heaivly.

   Naruto Story Chapter 10
(Sorry I have'nt posted a story for a while! I have been busy and just did'nt have the time)
Chapter 10: The Deadly Mission! pt.1
Soon we were finally in the village. After asking a few people, someone finally knew where the girl was staying. We walked
to Hoteru Hotel, where she was staying. We walked in, and a small girl, about seven years old, was paitenly waiting, sit-
ting on a couch in the lobby. "Hi! We're ninja from Konoha and we've come to take you home sweetie." Keiko said, smiling.
"Finally! I was getting worried I would never return home!" The little girl said, hopping off of the couch and running
over to us. "My name is Amai. I'm six years old." She said. "Well, shall we get going?" I asked. "Sure." Rima replied.
"I'm sick of this place already. I wanna go home." Rima added. Mizu suddenly got aggrivated. "Grumpy idiot! You're so self centered!"
She smaked him in the back of the head. "Why did you hit me?" He got angry. "Stop it! You're scaring Amai." Keiko said,
while Amai cowered behind her. We left the village. It was quiet. Suddenly I thought I heard something from the forest.
"What was that?" I asked, looking in the direction of the noise. "What? I did'nt hear anything." Mizu replied. "You're
overreacting." Rima said. "Hmm...." I thought as we walked onward. Suddenly, someone ran out of the woods and grabbed
Amai. "Aaaah! Help me!" She called as the stranger carried her away. "Oh no! We have to go find her!" Keiko said, taking
off through the forest. We followed. "I told you I heard something!" I shouted as we jumped accross trees. "Whatever, it
does'nt really matter now." Rima said. "Yeah! All that matters is to get Amai back to Konoha safely! And kick the kidnapp-
er's butt!" Mizu exlaimed. Suddenly another stranger appeared in front of us. "You shall not follow the girl's path. She
is absoultely vital to our plans." The person was masked, but I could tell it was a woman. "What did you do with her? And
what do you need a little girl for anyway?" I asked the mystery woman, very confused. "That does not concern you." And she
dissappeared. "Mizu, can you sense her?" Keiko asked. "Hmmm......Mizu concentrated hard. Yeah! Follow me!" She took off.
After traveling a long way, we found a hideout. It was well hidden, but big, like a fortress.
"Shhh...everyone be quiet. We need to sneak
in and rescue Amai without drawing attention." Keiko explained quietly. "Hey! Bad guys! Hand Amai over or we'll kick all
of your butts!!" Mizu screamed. "Shut up!! Did you hear anything Keiko said?" Rima grabbed her and put his hand over her
mouth. Suddenly three ninja came out of the fortress. "Nice going loser!" Rima growled at Mizu, letting her go. "I guess
our only option is to fight!" I said, smiling. "She's right. You shall not pass." One of the ninja said.

To be continued.......
Team 11 must battle a ninja army! Will they survive long enough to find out what these ninja want with Amai and rescue her?
Continued in part two.....

   Naruto Chapter 9!
Chapter 9: Ninja Missions!
"Im gonna kill that girl one day!" Rima growled as I untied the chian. "But Rima, you're just a genin! A junior ninja!
She's a jonin, an elite ninja! Even though we beat her easily..." I tried to calm him down. "She was going easy on us.
But that waterfall was no joke. We were all almost killed." He looked at Mizu sadly. "I'll take her home. See ya tom-
orrow." Rima said, picking up Mizu. Then he left. When I got home, I was so exausted I went straight to bed. The next
morning I told my mom about yesterday (she was dying to know) and left. "We finally get to do some real ninja missons!"
I thought happily as I walked down the path. I met Rima down the road. Mizu was with him. "Hey Mizu! Are you okay?" I
asked, running to meet them. "Yeah I'm fine. Thanks to Rima and you." She said looking at him. He blushed. "Well, I
had to protect you or I could'nt advance as a ninja." He said, looking away. "Hmph." Mizu looked angry. "Hey guys!!"
Keiko said, waving to us from down the path. "Come on! You get your first mission today!" She called. "Yay!" I cheered
as I rushed down the path with Rima and Mizu close behind.
We went into a building, and the hokage and Iruka were at this desk. A banner hanging from the wall above the desk said,
"Do a good job!" We walked up to the desk. The hokage looked at a list. "Okay, your mission is...to babysit a two-year
old for a woman who has to take a trip." Hokage said. "What kind of mission is that?!" Keiko shouted. "These brats are'nt
gonna learn anything from babysitting a toddler!" She said, glaring at the hokage. "Keiko sensei, you're yelling at the
hokage! The ruler of Konoha! Should'nt someone like you have more respect?" I said quietly. "But you guys need some
work that will acually improve you as ninja. D rank missions are all genin can get, I know. But, baby-sitting and finding
lost pets don't help you become better ninja. Can we please have a C rank mission?" She asked, looking at the hokage, try-
ing to win him over with a pouty face and her big, green eyes. "Umm....okay but if you die it's your own fault. He checked
the list. Your mission is.....meet a girl in the next village and escort her here safely. This village is her home, but
she left to visit some relitives. She is much too young to make the trip back here alone." He said. "Alrighty then! Keiko
said. Let's get going!" We left the village and began walking through the forest. "Are we gonna have to battle any other
ninja out here?" Mizu asked, worried. "Relax. This is a C ranked mission. We should'nt have to fight any other ninja."
Keiko said, smiling. "Even if we do, I will always protect you girls." Rima said, half-smililing. I smiled. It seemed like
we were begininng to get along.
