Chapter 17
Chapter 17: Registration Time Suddenly, Keiko appeared, leaning on a tree. "Funny. I was just about to come tell you about the Chunin exam and you already know." She said, grinning. "Good thing all three of you want to compete. Only three-man squads can register. Speaking of register, the deadline is three p.m. tomorrow." We looked at each other. "Let's register first thing tomorrow." Rima said, leaving. I looked up at the sky.It was getting late already. Mizu left too. I got ready to go home, but Keiko stopped me. "These exams have ninja from all over the world here. Mist, cloud, sand, sound...all different types. Most of you will be eluminated early. Don't you three dare disappoint me." Keiko grinned, and disappeared. That made me kind of nervous. What kind of secrets did the other ninja have? What are we going to be up against? I thought that night trying to sleep. My mind kept flashing back to Gaara and that girl. Who were they? I finally dozed off, and had a nightmare about the Chunin exam. I dreamed that that Gaara used some wierd jutsu and killed my friends, and then I had to fight him, and he almost killed me too, but I woke up sweating. I looked at the clock, and it was five in the morning. I could'nt go back to sleep, that dream scared me too much. So I walked to the hill over the ocean, and climbed up the tall tree that had been there forever. I sat on my favorite branch, and stared out at the sunrise. After a few hours of thinking, my mom ran out to the tree and looked up frantically. "Oh thank goodness! I came in your room to wake you up, and you were gone! I'm so glad I found you! Dad was about to get his black ops friends together to search for you." I looked down. "I'm fine mom you don't need to worry so much. I am a ninja after all." I jumped out of the tree. "I know, but with the chunin exams starting and all these ninja from other villages around, I got worried when I saw you missing..." She said. "I have to go. I need to meetmy teammates to register." I walked off, not wanting to tell my mom of my dream, because I knew it would make her worry even more. I met my team, arguing in a resturant, scaring the people in there. After I broke up the fight, we went to the Ninja Academy to register. After that, we met Keiko coming back. "Hi! You registered already?" She asked. "Yeah!" Mizu replied. "Good. Now we get right to training. If you want to live through the Chinin exams, you need all the training you can get." She said, grinning.
