Made Up Homunculi
After writing this, I realized 'you're going to be flamed so much for this if someone actually reads it', so if you manage to actually read this (borred, aren't you?) then please realize that this is all just my oppinion. Less even, it's my oppinion when I'm kind of pissed, which really holds no merit at all. <>I've been seeing a lot of Homunculi made-ups lately. They bother me not only because I'm a FMA fanatic (the kind that researches alchemy and Dante's Inferno on wikipedia in her free time, along with refferences and other loserish things normal people don't notice), but because most of them are redundant. Anger- Wrath. Jealousy- Envy. Arrogance- Pride. Vengeance/Revenge- Wrath. Bolimia-..... does this one even need a case? That is NOT a deadly sin, it's an eating disorder! Some of these are synonims, come on people. I mean, sure, it at least looks better when you chose something imaginative like Infamy, but it all boils down to making additions to Dante's Infero. Plus, people misrepresent homunculi a LOT. OC pairings are bad enough when they're not a homunculus to boot, just because you make your OC a homunculus does not make them getting together with Envy any more plausible. Yes, it's obviouse I don't like OCs. Why? Because very few people make good OCs. If your OC is just yourself with super powers so that you can make Winry/Rose act like a bitch in your story and then get Edward Elric to yourself, then all the OC does is screw up a good story. Some are good, but they are a select few. I think that in general, we're just better off without them.
