   She's Lucky That She's Cute!
Alright in my last post I told the very small story of the kitty on my porch, yeah? Well after that a much...more painful thing happened (not with Mr.Kitty either).

Okay so after the kitty incident I played video games for about an hour, fed my cats, and decided to get my pencils so I could draw for a bit.

So while in my room I gathered my stuff and put it outside th door (because if my cats get in my room they'll bother the hamster)and as I grabbed my notebook I looked over to see if Yuki had any food....I then saw that the top of the cage was hanging off!

I knew she had gotten out before so I stayed calm and got a flashlight. I was more so worried that she had broken her legs since the cage sits atop a dresser.

So I checked under the computer, behind the TV, in the ferret cage, in every corner, in bags and purses, and finally I heard a strange scratching sound behind the other dresser.

I peeked behind it to see that she had gotten herself trapped between the wall, bookcase and dresser. Well since I didn't know exactly when she got out I had no idea she had gone without food or water! I panicked a little but quickly pulled out the drawers and pulled the dresser at an angle, getting her in her ball after a ten minute struggle to get her to come to me.

She's lucky she so cute or else I may have killed her for helping destroy my room. Now she's as happy as can be in her cage...which is now covered in duct tape.

   Silly Me
While I do my sewing and work I like to sit in the living room cause I have more space to move around. Well there's a large window in there and my cats love to sit on the windowsill. But whenever they do, a few of the blinds open and it's really iritating. So when that happens I just say my cat's name and they either jump out or sit completely on the sill so the blinds don't pop open.

Tonight was a little different cause while my youngest kitty was jamming in the window he started meowing. I called his name because his tail was keeping the blinds open but he didn't react. I just got up to see what was so shocking and found that a small cat was sitting on the porch. I opened the door and called it, it ran over to me and started meowing.

Well the little thing was so cute that I couldn't leave it out there without food! So I ran inside, pulled out a bowl, got a can of cat food, stabbed myself in the hand in the process of getting the food into the bowl and finally headed back outside.

The kitty seemed grateful though so the bleeding was worth it lol. No I'm fine and I can't control the urge to help out an animal. Be safe kitty! Hehehe.

   Great Manga!
So about a week ago I called one of our local bookstores to see if KashiMashi Volume Two was in...alas they said that the weather was so bad that their shipment was late.

Not fearing the stupid weathers setback I just went about as usual with life.

Well today as I was shopping at the store I decided to go check out the new manga. Unfortunatly Fruits Basket wasn't out yet and surprisingly neither was KashiMashi. So being a concerned otaku (lol yeah right) I asked one of the workers if he could tell me when it would be out. He said that the book would be out April 28th. This also surprised me since the man I had talked to a week earlier said that it would be out April 1st (not counting the weather but shouldn't it have been out by then?). So now I have to kill the little faker. Hehehe.

No worries though! Because I happened to find a rather interesting manga that kind of...is exactly like me. Well as far as anime goes anyway.
It's called DramaCon.

Here's the summary:

When amateur writer Christie settles in the artist alley of her first ever anime convention, she sees it as an opportunity to promote the manga she had started with her artist boyfriend. But when she unexpectedly falls for a mysterious cosplayer, things become complicated. What do you do when you love someone who is going to be miles away from you in just a couple of days?!

It's really good and suits me cause I looove cosplay. Plus it's just a good overall story...Now if I could just keep my sanity for KashiMashi. -*rocks back and forth*- Hehehe just kiddin!

   Happy Easter!
Happy Easter peeps! Hope ya had a good one!

A couple small things before I go.

1. Today I was shopping and surprised to find a lot of places were opening later in the day (since Easter hasn't really been a big thing in the past). So I accidentally said : "Who died and made Easter so popular?!" My bad! So sorry Jesus but at least ya came back!

2. When I went for my Kakashi photoshoot I was recognized by a very sarcastic girl. She seemed to think it was funny that I was dressed like him but whatever. ^_^ Then some creepy people kept watching me so I just waved at them.

Anyway again Happy Easter!

   Woohoo!
Yeah so I entered another local cosplay contest. I unfortunatly didn't win BUT I'm overly happy for a few reasons:

1. I got my Sailor V outfit done and it looks great! Check it out in the cosplay section of TheO.

2. During the trivia round I won probably over $150.00 worth the prizes. FMA actions figures, DBZ cards, a keychain and a double disc of the latest FMA DVD set which I gave to another girl because she wanted it so bad. I was happy to give it away. ^_^

3. I haven't felt that good in a long time. I actually felt pretty wearing that uniform.

So I may not have won but I feel like a winner. ^_^

   Funny, Funny
Have your parents ever said/done something so odd that it threw you off guard? Well mine do it a lot but this one takes the cake.

Okay so I was just talking to my mom like usual and we got on the subject of her job. She's a security guard and she was telling me how they got some fancy new surveillance cameras in. Anyway she was asking: "You know how you'll look at something and think it's something else?" (like from a distance a sign will look like a person or whatever).

I said yeah and she said: "Well last night I was staring into the camera lens at work and I swear it looked like a person." I just nodded when she busts out with: "Actually it looked like Kakashi without the face mask and the headband."

I couldn't control it and started laughing like you wouldn't beileve. But then she made it worse by going on to say: "It turns out it was just a bunch of plants reflecting on the lens...But it did look like him!"

Aw the joy of mothers.

   Pretty Good
I'm an active reader when it comes to theO's news and reviews. But like a lot of people I read it and then go on about whatever I was doing. But the manga releases caught my eye this week.

Actually one specifically: Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl~

It really took me back that some new yuri manga was coming here since there's very few compared to the ever-popular yaoi series.

Don't get me wrong, yaoi is great! But I also like to see yuri getting some more fans.

Anyway I couldn't pass up this chance to see what it was really all about. So I went to the book store and bought a copy (also grabbing two more volumes of Negima! while I was at it).

Now I don't think I've ever read a book so quickly. It was...dare I say...extremely good? I can't wait to pick up volume two but that'll have to wait.

If you're wondering what it's about than here's the summary:

Shunned by the girl of his dreams, Hazumu lost himself in the mountains and was promptly squashed by an alien spaceship. The aliens, feeling bad for what they did, remade Hazumu's body...but they got it wrong!

Now Hazumu must learn how to be the girl his parents always wanted him to be while dealing with the trials and tribulations of being caught in a love triangle between two girls-his childhood friend, Tomari, and Yasuna, the girl who rejected him!

It's off to a great start. If you're a yuri fan you should get a copy. ^_^

   Unrelated
I forgot to post yet another unrelated note in my last post. I didn't think it had anything to do with my team so here's a little addition.

I really want to try out martial arts. I've always had a little dream of going out there and trying to learn it. I think I could do really good...But my mom doesn't think it's a good idea. See I have a degenerating disk in my lower spine. It cause my back to give out on me and I sometimes have a hard time standing for long periods of time. I can walk and do everything like a normal person but I just get sharp pains a lot. Still I'd like to go for it but I doubt my parents will let me. Oh well. >_<

   Fail To Win
Well they played and unfortunatly lost. But I'm not upset. Everyone has their "off" days and today was UNLV's. Something lucky did come out of it though. They were behind in a sixteen point lead and made it about a four point by the end of the game. So at least they didn't get completely thrashed. I'm still going to go see them and when they get home I'm sure the school will throw together a rally of some sort. But no reason to get upset since they beat the odds and became a very respectable Cinderella team!
