Odd Dreams and Weird Thoughts
So I was reading some stuff about people's dreams. Some have the really odd ones that never make sense and couldn't possibly happen in the real world. And then there are those who have the "real life" kind, ya know with situations that may occur.
For me I've had few dreams in my entire life that were about things that could happen. I usually have twisted, distorted, and even blurry visions about the strangest stuff.
Which brings me to one of my weirdest dreams that I had last week....
It started that I was running as fast as I could and guess who I was following! Ms. Sakura Haruno. Yes she was all Time Jump style and running not to far ahead of me. I was desperatly trying to catch up to her side though since she was yelling back to me. She kept saying "Kakashi is going to kill us if we're late! We have to hurry or he's seriously going to be mad!" And after she was finished I suddenly thought of something and began yelling to her: "Oh no! Where's Naruto?! If he doesn't come back with us then we'll still be in trouble."
She stopped running and waited for me to stop next to her. I did and she gave me the "why do you care so much?' look.
She then said "Naruto is on his own mission with your sister, remember? If they're late then let Kakashi yell at them."
I just nodded to calm her down and we headed back to this odd looking dojo. But when we got inside it looked more like a house, a big house.
Kakashi was sitting on the floor with my older sister (who looked very cool in her anbu gear by the way). And Sakura and me joined them. We instantly noticed that our sensei had been drinking. Anyway he asked us where Naruto was, we just shrugged. That's when the little weirdo popped out of nowhere and said he was sorry for being late.
Kakashi got all pissed off and started screaming at all of us for being lazy and slow so we just tuned him out. My sister finally pulled me to the side and started ranting about how mean he was when he was drunk.
It faded out soon after and I woke up. It was soooo freakin' weird because I don't really watch Naruto anymore, I watched Time Jump but that was after I had the dream. Maybe it's cause I've been working on Sakura's outfit and I'm also working on Kakashi's. Either way it was strange lol.
On another note, I've been thinking about what being a fan means and how much can you like something to be able to call yourself a fan.
I understand that a lot of people would die for what they love but does someone who wouldn't give their life have the same amount of liking towards that same hobby? I think so...I think people have different ways to show loyalty towards an interest. Whether they be a hard-core fan or just a simple one activity per week kind of person. It's the way and interest you have for things that make you a fan. That's just my opinion though.
And one more thing I thought about was why people get so upset when their hobby is made fun of. Maybe cause I'm accepting of a range of opinions I don't understand it. Like I may not agree with someone but I accept that they have a different view.
I thought about that cause of my older sisier. She likes The Misfits and got mad because another group made fun of them in a music video.
That was similar because I like Dragonball Z and the popular show Robot Chicken made fun of it in their Christmas special. I was laughing so hard because you have to admit Gohan yelling "Ow my dragonballs!' was pretty funny. I like seeing stuff being portrayed in a different manner. Even if it's anime!
Besides I like Robot Chicken and they've even made fun of Sailor Moon before.
Sorry if you're against teasing anime!

Good Days
These past few days have been really good. It's kind of odd too because usually some big time news comes up and catches me off guard. But hey no news is good news!
Uh lets see what all nice things have been happening? Oh I aced my history exam, I bought more fabric for one of my cosplay outfits, my kitty is feeling better and I don't think he's holding a grudge, I updated my membership on another site so I have a better page, my wig and headband should be arriving (sp?) soon, my mom randomly bought me a gift (Prismacolor Markers!), the base for my shuriken is done, and I'm getting really hyped for the conventions to start!
Overall everything has been great and hopefully it'll stay that way. ^_^

Yay For Good Stuff!
I always stress over the combo of balancing work and cosplay. It's hard to study when I'm surrounded by fabric and the urge to drop my books and pull out the needles. But luckily I got a lot of stuff done last week so I can take my time making new things.
Oh and I finished the base of my Sakura shirt! I just need to put the collar and designs on and it'll be finished! Then I'll work on the skirt part of it.
Oh and my dad requested that I do Sailor V's outfit from Sailor Moon. Incase you don't know, Sailor V was created BEFORE Sailor Moon and she is an actual character in the anime, and she's also Sailor Venus.
Also I finally bought my Sakura wig, my red headband and a new set of kunai. I already have throwing stars but I can always use more weapons. ^_^
Anyway I think that's all for now but wish me luck on my new projects!

Not That This Counts
I realize that this whole big thing with AnimeFF is more important on the level with all the scams, sorrows, anger, and urge to rip certain people's heads off. But I kind of want to just post what I know from this mess, I understand it doesn't count for anything since I can't help with any useful information against those jerks. Still I'd like to post an attende (sp?) point of view.
I learned about Anime Tour For The Cure about two weeks before the actual convention. Since I'm an active cosplayer I didn't want to pass up the chance to have a little fun and dress up. And hey! The money spent would go to a precious cause. That made it even better and gave me more of a reason to attend.
So I planned for it, got the money, paid pre-registration, and made two new outfits just for this noble cause.
On Thursday (day before the badge pick-up night) I checked the website (no longer active) to see if any last minute changes had been made. And surely enough there was. It turns out MTV was going to be filming cosplayers! I have to admit it was pretty cool that a big time music TV company was willing to come to a tiny two day convention just to tape otaku in their natural habitat. ^_~
Friday morning I was up and about, preparing for the pick-up later that night. I packed all my Yuffie gear into my cosplaying case, I managed to fit my Kagome outfit in there was well. As for the current night, I planned to try out my newly made Rukia uniform.
Due to my own troubles of being late, my friends and I reached the convention center around five PM. We were confused on where the actual pick-up was since I'm used to Anime Vegas I figured it was in the front of the building. No luck. But thankfully a nice guard told us it was around the back. So we headed to the driveway to the back entrance. A small sign was at the driveway that read "Anime Tour For The Cure".
Skipping the parking routine we headed inside, used the elevator and met the others that were already inside.
As we walked in, there were few dealers setting up their stuff for sale...and that was pretty much it. Aside from the friendly guy jamming behind a table, Mr. Jeff I beileve it was. He asked for my friend's ID so that he could get the badge, he gave it to him and wrote his name on the makeshift name tag. He then asked for mine, I handed him my permit (I have to bleach that now) and wrote my name of the little piece of paper. It had a tiny plastic covering that had a safety pin on the back. So I casually pinned it on and he just gave us a friendly smile.
As the night went on I started wondering if this was the only part of the convention. If these dealers were really the only thing they had along the lines of "fun". Don't get me wrong, I loved the dealers! They were nice and friendly...oh and they gave me soundtracks for good prices. Still I figured that maybe these voice actors they claimed were coming may have been there.
Soon after the thought was brushed from my mind and we headed to another "booth". And out of no where this man with a camera approched us. It was strange that MTV would have one camera man doing the job but hey whatever's easier for you. He filmed a lot as we all did random things for the camera. It was fun despite that he didn't offically say he was from MTV.
After a few hours of checking out plushies, my friend and I decided to head back since his brother was still waiting in the car for us (lucky guy didn't register!).
Saturday I got up early, prepared and put on my Kagome outfit. I gathered the money I had for the convention and headed off.
I thought the doors were suppose to open by the time we reached the center but I guess they were running late or I forgot what time they opened. Anyway there was a good sized group waiting out front for the con to begin. I ran around talking to people, meeting new fun cosplayers and trying to ignore the fact that it was freezing and I was in a schoolgirl uniform.
Luckily someone (I don't remember who but I know it was a guy) came out and said we could come in and get warm. The day had begun!
As we walked in I saw Mr. Jeff in the same spot he had been in the previous night. He was still getting people's badges ready and more anime lovers were flooding in. It seemed that the convention may have more people than expected.
For most of the day I shopped around and hung out with new found friends. It was going good especially when I saw theotaku's art contest pariticpants' work up on posterboards. I thought it was slightly tacky but hey they're a new convention so you can't expect fabulous-ness. So I voted and took the scrap of paper to the woman who had the voting box. I don't remember seeing Mr. Jeff but he could have been there.
As the afternoon got closer a group of us decided to head to the "gaming" room downstairs. It was cool to see some Anime Vegas people jamming there since I hadn't seen them in a few months. But everyone there just talked, jammed, and a few comments were made about how tiny the convention was. I don't even think the screening rooms had people in them.
After a while we got bored and decided to go buy more stuff just to do it.
Upstairs though there seemed to be a problem...A BIG problem.
As we walked in we noticed everyone buzzing about some kind of "fight" and how a dealer was leaveing! I didn't believe the gossip so InuYasha (a guy I met) and I went up to ask the said dealer what was going on. He explained that he was supposed to get money back but the head of the convention wasn't paying. Not only that there was some more issues between the man and himself. He apologized that we had to pay for such a stupid convention and said he was leaving. And sure enough they made some final sales and left.
Not knowing what to say I went back down to the gaming room with a few others.
As we were down there a couple girls and I began to plan some kareoke trios, trying to get each other to do trivia and just having fun.
As the day went on a large amount of people stayed in the kareoke room as we began to perform skits. It was all good and after a while Tifa (chick I met) asked me to go with her to get a snack from the vending machine. As we did this a girl that had been helping out came down and looked rather worn out. We asked her if it was a rough day and she simply responded that she had just gotten done cleaning up the upstairs. Confused by this we asked why she was cleaning when there would just be more trash the following day. She then explained that there was no convention Sunday, the dealers had all been angered into leaving, and there was a rumor that a scam had been commited. And that the leader had taken all the money for the cause and left, never to be seen again.
This shocking rumor turned into a nasty truth as it was pretty much confirmed. Everyone was angry at the jerk who was behind this mess! Tifa even advised that we hunt the guy down and use large anime props to beat him! A good idea if I say so myself.
But it got worse as the dance we had been waiting for was canceled. Right as it was about to start! They said that security hadn't been paid to stay so we had to leave the building. We all did as we were told and went into the freezing weather. All of us still angry at the jerk who fooled us...
There were fun parts to this convention but the ugly truth about it really over shadows the good. I just hope that everyone who can do something valuable to help will come forward. These jerks can't get away with what they've done.

My Poor Little Kitty
Yesterday (Monday here) I was supposed to take my kitty to the vet...Yeah he's a little over a year old and wants to get his freak on with a lady kitty *coughs*. So my mom wants to get him "fixed", see I didn't see what the issue was cause I said "Hey at least if he gets out of the house and gets a little girlfriend, he won't be the one bringing home the babies." But then she went off on how we'd end up in a messed up Maury DNA test lol.
So yeah we ended up taking him today but I can't bring him home until tomorrow. It really scares me whenever any of my animals are left in the care of someone else. I just feel odd about that so I've been worrying about him all day. I want my baby back! lol
But I did explain to him that he's basically a "hedge" and the vet is the "hedge clippers". Please be safe Simba!

Time Goes By
I was lost in my convention memories of Anime Vegas for the past couple years and I started thinking of how fun this year's will be. Then I realized something...I have seven costumes that need to be finished before June. Yeah! Since I'll be attending AX07 in California (4 days) and Anime Vegas (3 days) in September! Not to sound odd but I feel weird dressing in one outfit for so long plus I love making a variety. But dang I really have to get to work. I keep stalling on sewing because my machine hates me and my fingers hurt after hand sewing for so long.
Oh and I have to help my two brilliant duo cosplayers with their outfits as well. Yup my dad will be going with me to AX cause yeah he likes anime too. And my mom will be heading out to Anime Vegas with me because she's a big time Naruto fan. ^_^ Anyway I have to work like the wind...*swoops off then falls* lol.

Another Day And Another Update
Yeah I redid the profile again. This time it doesn't have the music player because the site was being stupid about it. -_-' Anyway I thought red would be a cool color to do since the purple was getting old...for me anyway.
On another note I was thinking about who my favorite anime characters were...Then it kind of hit me that I didn't know which one I related to the most. It's easy to like a character but relating is hard for me to figure out.
So I sat down and lightly gave it a few thoughts when I noticed a lot of similar things between Yuki Sohma and me. Like his mother basically abandoned him, when I was little my mother used to go out all the time and leave me with my dad (who was to busy working to realize I exist). Yuki was told all the time by Akito that no one cared about him or liked him, for me a lot of people that I'm not allowed to see anymore told me that no one loved me or cared if I died. Both him and me are easy going, we both sorta like violence but only when need be. He's calm and collected but still fun. I'm usually calm but I can be loud. He seems happy despite his childhood and I do to. Well actually I AM happy though certain people made me miserable a long time ago. But unlike him, I didn't need anyone to make me happier. I can be happy though it's good to have friends. ^_^ Anyway does anyone else have a character they relate to?

Grr...
Sometimes I get waaaay to into stuff. Like with cosplay. It's my life, it's what I do and it's what I love doing...But since I love it so much, I hate it when something doesn't turn out right. To be more clear, what I'm talking about is Sakura's Time Jump shirt. It looks really simple but I don't have a pattern and the shoulder parts keep coming out wrong. I think I should just choke the fabric. >_< lol
But I'm no quitter, I'll keep trying until it works with me...and it WILL even if I have to break out the hedge clippers and threaten it! Oh yes!
But for now, I'm off to bed. Good night everyone!

Manga
Well I've been saving up money for the past few weeks. For what? Nothing particular. Just to save up some cash...But last week I decided to get fabric to get started on my next cosplay costume. I plan to go to a convention as Sora from KH2. Anyway I really had nothing else to get so I saved the rest.
Until today that is...
Yeah I've been getting back into my Fruits Basket faze. I have the anime series though it was waaaay short. But I had stopped reading the manga after seeing the series. Anyway today I decided that since I had the money I might as well buy some Furuba manga...Volumes 7-15 to be exact. Yeah and those books are $9.99 a piece! It was killer to my wallet but it was worth it. I'm glad I have something to distract me from work lol. ^_^ Next time I get money I'll go splurge on School Rumble stuff!
