Some Interesting Things...For Once
Okay so I wanted to say a few things, they deal with anime so yay!
To start: Anime is EVERYWHERE! Have you ever done a picture or web search? I'm sure you have for whatever reason but have you actually looked at the other results that come with your search? For example: The search is for "pink flowers" and you get pictures of pink flowers PLUS a random picture of an old woman! It's because the words or spelling is on a webpage that has that old lady picture.
Well if you've ever had that happen then you probably skipped over that random photo and went on with your right results. So the reason I say that anime is all over the place is because I always search for pictures on the internet and during the past few years I noticed that no matter what I look for, I find anime stuff coming up. I searched for "short hair styles" the other night and it came up with a screenshot of some anime chick with blue hair! Of course this picture was one of many others that were "real life" people with their short hair cuts. I also saw that some of the "most popular" searches are for anime characters. But it just seems like no matter what you want, anime got there first...It's kind of cool. Otaku are taking over the world...one picture search at a time. ^_^
On with the second issue which really made me upset. It has to do with racial issues so if you don't like talking about it, please don't read this. Anyway I was looking at cosplay photos on another site and came across a girl dressed as Sailor V...she was an African American girl. Now I clicked on the pic and scrolled to the comments to see what people were saying. I've heard A LOT of comments at conventions just because someone dresses like a characters that's not of their race. So a couple comments were "great job!", "so cool! Keep it up!; but then I come to a large group of comments that say stuff like "Wow she did good for a black girl", "That's so accurate for a black chick". WHAT DOES YOUR SKIN COLOR HAVE TO DO WITH COSPLAY?!?! It's so overly rude to say something around the lines of "wow you did great cause most black people suck at making costumes" Man if you're good at sewing that's great! If you suck then just practice! I don't care if you're black, white, or freakin purple...Okay purple is cool but you get the idea. I think it's mean to treat people like that. Just comment of the outfit and don't even notice what the person's features are. Ughh it makes me so mad I could slit the evil people's wrist and pour salt in the wound. Arg!
*Clears throat* Eh sorry it made me all mad and such. Anyway on a final note I was thinking about completely redoing the site. Colors, pics, banners and all! Getting some cool stuff for it. I'll kick the idea around. ^_^
Good night and be safe!
