Well, since no one is on MyO anymore I don't know why I'm posting except for my own entertainment and so that, you, the random reader who dosn't know my name, can be entertained as well. Actually, scratch the last part cause all I can think of posting is some inside comments, although you could read the last quote.
1. WHY DOES SNORA G. HAVE TO GO?! WHY!!!???
2. I-hate-the-civil-war-project-.
3.Wizard of OZ
4.Maya has drropped off the face of the Earth and I worry for her.
Me,"You keep saying you're dead..."
Dohjer(my friend) "Well?"
"Well, the dead, er, they, you know, don't talk much. As a rule."
"...I used to be an exceptionally powerful pharaoh. My daughter poisoned me of course. It is the generally accepted method of succession in our family, but..."
-Wadi! To my fellow Pharaoh, Dohjer.

Story time..again!
So since you all seemed to like the Egyptian tales so much I'll will educate you futher. This one about the Eye of Horus, a common symbol representing Egypt. But few know its actual meaning.
Seth (god of war)and Horus (uummm...he's alittle harder to explain because he's eight gods in one) were rivials of the throne in the Middle kingdom and thus came to battle. It cost Horus his left eye and Seth his....well, Seth won't be having children any more.
Now Seth was always detested by the people of Egypt but Horus was the son of Osiris so it came as a great misfortune to all that he was injured.
Horuses left eye is also refered to as his "Black eye" or his "Empty eye" which also represents the full moon. Toth, the god-scribe of all wisdom (head of a crane) healed his eye and put it back thogther. Horuses repared eye is the new moon so the moon cycle when
"aw he lost his eye, wait it's fixed, but now it's broke again... (I know that seems backwards but Horus originally was a hawk head and hawk's eyes are black so a new moon would be a full eye.)
In order to restore his left eye, Toth had to take 1/64 of Horuses right eye, and replaced what he took from the right with a 64th of pure magic. The righ eye or "White eye/Wedjat-eye" is accosiated with the cycle of the sun.
You'll see the right eye of Horus alot because, since now Horus had magic within him, he escilated to become Amun-Re (an all powerfull god) the Egyptians also discovered his eye (the moon cycles) is what controlled the flood.
All this togther made the Eye a VERY important symbol to Egyptians and is found in many a sculpture in Egypt as it aslo became the symbol of Maat. But thats an even LONGER
story. They used the eye commonly for mesurments in grinarys as well, as shown in the picture.

Dragon art
Yes,I drew a dragon befor that is now with k-chan that I said I would post. No, I don'thave a scanner. But I plan on drawing a dragon for BlackWave that will be woven into a story she is writting and I realize (going on google looking up dragons) that my last drawing sucked. So this time I'm plan on diverting my attention from Egypt (I know, it's hard) and drawing the best damn dragon in the land. But first I have too get an image of what I want, soo here are the choices:
1.luck dragon (kinda copying off of Neverending Story)
2. fate dragon (would be consently playing with people's lives in an everlasting game of dice/chance with the Fates [greek thing] Would be more scaley than fuzzy)
3. time dragon (would have chinese feelers on its face but the ends would drift into nothing because their contently in the future. Tail would also drift into nothingness because its in the past. More fuzzy than scaley.)
Please vote for what you think would look best. BlackWave: Sorry, but I refuse to make an elemental dragon, their just...boring!

Dragons
Happy days! On March 20, Animal Planet will be presenting a show dedicated to dragons and how they lived. Their big theory is that it's very improbable that every culture in the world from the Aztecs to the Inu had a dragon in their way of life without dragons actually existing. I know I'm going to be critically watching this, the website is dragonsarecoming.com. I hope it's good!

Now that we're talking about dreams...
I once had a dream I don't intend to forget. It starts. I open my eyes to see the pyrimid of the ancients riseing grandiosly above me were it meets a clear sky. But, "It's red..."
I note to myself. The sky is tinted red, the pyrimid's stones are stained red. And I relize I'm sitting in a pool of blood.
"I'm sweating blood!?" It crosses my mind and I find I am in a linen dress and, hot against my fevered skin, I can feel the Caetouche amulet, sign of the pharaoh. I am the pharaoh? If I am the pharaoh"...what has happend to Egypt...?"
I wonder out loud as I look around to see empty streets red, collapsing temples are red, the deshret red, and the source of all life. The Nile is red. This has happened befor! This has happened to Ramses II. Have I somehow invoked the wrath of god?
"The Red Men, come." A voice at the end of a pesent's street behind me. The voice sounded like a mute man who has waited to his death bed to use his voice. I get up to find myself crying and shaking as the respose to what I assume to be the total destruction of this civilization, my civilization.
But dutifly I carry on down the street to the voice. To both sides of me are tightly packed mud houses with no windows or doors, so that one can see inside the neat homes. Nothing broken inside them, no sign of struggle, like all of the people just evaporated.
I reach the end of the street to find a baby sobbing and screaming in a puddle of blood. Tears overwhelm me. Is this all thats left? Me and this child? Well if this baby was the last of Egypt, then I still had a duty to protect it. I remeber kneeling down to it, tears and koli streaming down my face, only to have the baby snached upwards by a hawk, the hawk of Amun-Ra.
Now I am the one who is screaming,
"I won't let you do to that child what you did to all the others! Bring it back! What did any of them do to deserve this?"
I quivered with grief and anger, watching the hawk fly into a small blue patch in the sky just befor it closes up forever, like the Lorax.
I stand there, the last pharaoh who was unable to protect a small baby, looking at the sky wondering the eternal question, "Why?" All of Egypt around me red, powerless, soiled, devistated, and crumbling. A large dark shape leaps into the air, eclipsing the sun above me. And the dream ends.

HERE THERE BE DRAGONS
The map tells sailors where to sail.
The decorations: sun and whale,
The warning spelled in letters pale:
HERE THERE BE DRAGONS!
The well-known routes upon the map
Should cause the sailors no mishap,
But north-northwest there is a gap:
AND HERE THERE BE DRAGONS!
The continents are not drawn true,
The ocean waves outlined in blue,
Sea serpentine provides the clue
WHERE THERE BE DRAGONS.
Yet year by year the ships have passed
Through oceans wide and oceans vast,
And sailors stared atop the mast
FOR WHERE THERE BE DRAGONS.
No scales of blue and jaws of green
Are by thease modern sailors seen.
Do you think that this might mean
HERE THERE BE NO MORE DRAGONS?
I'd like to hope, I'd like to pray
The dragons have just gone...away..
And will return some other day,
THEN HERE THERE WILL BE DRAGONS.
AGAIN.
