   My review of HP movie #5
My rating: 4/5 stars :D

It really was pretty good... if you go see it with an open mind.

I know a lot of people who say it sucked say so because of all the stuff they left out. Well think about it: if they didn't leave some stuff out, we'd have a 6-8 hour movie on our hands.

Granted, they did leave some important stuff out (like who became prefects & Quidditch in general), but the movie still made sense without those points.

One thing that did bug me (& makes me wonder how they're going to cover it in the next movie) was they left out the whole Valentine's Day incident (I'm not going into details because I don't want to leave spoilers for people who haven't read it yet). It wouldn't make too much difference if the couple in question actually stays together, but they don't. *shrugs* Ah well, that's the movie makers' problem to sort out, not mine.

The lady who played Umbridge did an excellent job with her, I just wish they had made her look remotely accurate. :\ Yeah, she had curly hair & the pink outfit, but she was not anything else that Rowling described her to be.

Straight from the book:

"He [Harry] thought she looked just like a large, pale toad. She was rather squat with a broad, flabby face, as little neck as Uncle Vernon, and a very wide, slack mouth. Her eyes were large, round, and slightly bulging. Even the little black velvet bow perched on top of her short curly hair put him in mind of a large fly she was about to catch on a large sticky tongue."

The lady looked nothing like that. D8 Ah well, again, not my problem to fuss over. At least she played to character to a "T" - so much that I wanted to punch the screen. XD

I really don't like the new Dumbledore actor. Why did the original have to die?! D'8 He was EXACTLY how Dumbledore was described to be - he had the look, the attitude, & most of all, the soothing voice. RIP man.

On to some good points though (^^; ):

~ Luna. OMG she was PERFECT. Just... wow. <3
~ Thestrals. They looked amazing. 8D I want one. XD
~ Ron is still amazing. <3 <3 <3 <3 (He's always been my fave)
~ The Department of Mysteries. I cried - I really did. I think they did that scene absolutely perfectly. ;u;
~ The twins still rule. Hard. >8D
~ Umbridge's interviews with the teachers. That whole sequence was so funny! XD

Ok, methinks that's it. :D

Pokemon, anyone?
Yeah, I've been playing Pokemon Diamond recently... I beat the 7th gym a bit ago! :D I'm now training up my team to take on Dialga. @w@; I'm so nervous~! X3;; But everyone's been telling me that he's got a high catch rate - especially for a legendary. :D So hopefully it won't take me too long to catch him. :D

Oh, I've also been trying to re-read Harry Potter 5 before the movie comes out next week - wish me luck! XD; I'm in ch. 5 or 6 right now... I gotta get crackin'! XD I also wanna re-read the 6th book before the final one comes out - gosh, I need to read more often. @@;;

I guess my problem is that when I read each of them through the first time, I read them too quickly. XD; I hardly remember anything. ^^; Ah well, reading actual books is good for me - I've been reading too many manga lately. XD

Yay, up-dating again. XD
So yes, I added more links to the top. And yes I have 2 to IMVU. I'm kind of obsessed with it right now (especially since my comp decided to hate RO. *cries a flood's worth of tears*). XD;

Anyways... uh.... gawd, I hope my foot stops hating me. >>; It felt like it was broken all day today - but I didn't do a damn thing to it! D8 I'm so confused... & in so much pain... ;^;

Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow...

On a random note: I can't wait till the 4th! =D And not cuz I'm patriotic (actually, I hate this god-forsaken country I live in. :\ ), but I get to spend the whole day with my bf & my dad's family!! I rarely get to see my dad's family, but I get along with them ssssooo well. :D I can't wait to introduce Brian to them~! X3 I'm sure he'll fit in just fine. :)

Anyways, I when to the only graduation party that I was invited to. ^^; (I myself graduated last year) I saw a lot of people that I hadn't seen since last year, & it was really fun! ^^ I took some videos, so I'll have to post them on youtube. X3

Heh, heh... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh... I haven't been here in FOREVER. ^^;;;; Sorry 'bout that....

Anyways, right now, I'm in FRANCE!!! *Dances* I'm here on the French Exchange program with 11 other classmates! Right now, we're in the family stay portion of the trip, & that's when each student stays with a French student! My French "sister" is very nice! ^^

HP! ^^
Yeshu! After much messing around, I FINALLY have a new color scheme that I like! ^^ It's the color scheme of the 6th Harry Potter book! (The US cover) I got it the day it came out (the 16th), & finished it on the 18th! XD I had about 12 hours of reading on the 16th though... flying back home from California... yeah.. ^^ Vacation, w00t! Anyways, g2g! C y'all!
EDIT: GAH! I can't get my posts to be the same color as the rest of the text!!! XP
