oookay all i am BACK!
well.
to sum up my experience.
mixed.
very very mixed.
the writer's festival was NOT at the sea turtle inn in jacksonville, which had a big pool, was really nice inside, and was right on the beach, as it always used to be, but instead at a radisson in the middle of the city near a bunch of construction sites. niiiiiiice.
and the room, well
it was small
ESPECIALLY for three people.
(might i add that i could have had a few words with the architect/decorator.)
aaaand wouldn't you know it, my dad snores. and so does my mom, occasionally. YES, people, amazed eh? writers do snore.
so.
to escape, (i thought about sleeping in the closet but... nahh,,, too small.) i went around to the alcove thing and just slept there, since there was a wall to semi-block the noise.
as you can guess, during the course of those three nights, i didn't get much sleep.
although, mom took me shopping to some neat places, the festival was... almost as fun as ever... and i sold a drawing to a magazine, and it's either going to be on the cover or it'll be their logo. and it's an international magazine too, so that's really nice.
and then, last night, on the way back i got about three hours of sleep, and my parents had a huge fight, then i made them talk, so they sort of worked it out.
sort of.
let me tell you that kind of thing is really not nice.
sooo then we went around to just about every store that stocks laptops before my mom decided to get one, and while she did that, i went around to all the laptop examples and pulled up a word document and wrote "KYRION ROX PEOPLE'S SOCKS!!!" ... see knox
aren't you proud of me
now the whole world knows
or at least everyone who shops in office depot, best buy, and several other places i can't recall the name of.
now i'm back here.
and i have to go to school tomorrow.
........
someone get me outta here-_-'

ohh so many things accomplished today!
in case you're bad at spiritually sensing sarcasm, that was it^_^'
but it wasn't a BAD day, exactly.
i spent quite a time stalking one of the peacocks and trying to get him to puff up his tail for me so i could take a picture, but i had no luck. lots of pics, but no tail-puffing. it's quite disappointing actually.
but then my kitty kissed me on the nose which i thought was the cutest thing ever so i felt better.
aaaand i didn't do much else... reading a book which is good but quite disgusting at times...
and i have to go to the writer's festival tomorrow. be gone for a week.

you will not believe this
okay
wednesday, i left school early for spring break so we could get to the first coast writers festival on time. we go there every year. i've gone there every year since i was a few months old, and well this year i was all bent out of shape because they're not having it at the sea turtle inn like they usually do, they're having it at some stupid radison. well, we got there, dad went in to see what our room was, and they told him it's NEXT weekend. okay. so they'd given us the wrong date, we're in florida, and we're going to have to drive back and then come right back here in a few days anyway. luckily we have friends nearby so we're staying at their house. but i'm not staying in florida for two weeks, i want to spend SOME of my vacation at home!
so yeah.
dad and i are probably going back and mom's staying, she doesn't feel up for the drive. today we're just going to go shopping or do something fun, then it's another long drive. *sighs in annoyance*
i've NEVER been a whole week early for something like this.
i can't say i enjoy it.

well
my birthday was fantabulous
we went across the bay and to Otani, that japanese steakhouse
and we all listened to linkin park music played very loudly; we went shopping, we waved at everyone in passing cars and gave them nicknames like "mr.smarmy"
all very fun
and when we were looking for movies, we were left in the car, parked, for a little while, and there was some guy in the car next to us so we opened the door a little, put on one of the loudest songs, and banged on the windows and waved enthusiastically at him
you should've SEEN that LOOK XD
it was the funniest thing i've ever seen!
he stared at us for like five straight minutes then his wife came out and you should've seen the way SHE looked at us too!!
lol
we went and saw the most horrible movie ever though, it made me want to throw up
final destination 3
they all liked it but i thought it was the stupidest most pointlessly gory movie ever
anyway
other than that
was really fun
and my dad got a video of the japanese chef guy flipping stuff on his camera!
i'm gonna try to put it up

bleh...
well, there was a definite guilt factor in today..
knox and i feel kinda bad because that boy... the one who always follows us around,
i started calling him douglas occasionally (because of a character in our book that we modeled after him) (whereas his real name is zach) and he totally overreacted (as he does every time i tease him about anything) so then, since the people in our school are so stupid they don't even need to understand a joke to start repeating it, everyone's started to call him douglas. it's his own fault for talking about it so loud, and he's been telling people (cause he likes the attention, i guess) buuuut we still feel bad. i think it's really annoying him-_-'
ohhh well... they'll probably forget about it after a day or two, long as we stop calling him that.

happy news!
well, today at church a friend of my parents' came up to me and asked if i wanted to correspond with a chinese student who studies english, because she knows someone who's teaching them and had them write letters that she's giving to teenagers to answer. the chinese kids are mostly in 10th and 11th grade, so i'm not really their age, but i AM a teenager so.. XD
she gave me a letter so, i can write one back or i can send an email. they're not perfect at english, but they're pretty good since they've been studying it from kindergarten.
here's the letter:
"Dear friend:
Happy New Year!
Though I think the wishes is a little late. But I want you to have a good Holiday and feel happy all the time. And do you know the 'happy new year' in Chinese? It's (characters- i don't have chinese font on my computer XD)!
I am a Chinese boy and my name is William. Eh.. I don't know what to say but I think we can be friends. Right? Our teacher told us the letter will send to a people the same age as us. So we feel happy and exciting. Now we are also in school and we will have a good holiday after a month. do you want to write to me? By the way, my e-mail: (the address) If you write to me, I will tell you more things about our things and our city or what you want to know.
Best wishes & happy new year
Yours
William."
more than i can do in any other language lol
so i'm going to e-mail him, i think
may write a letter if i have a time
yeah i always wanted to have a pen pal in a different country, especially since someone in my class got to have a pen pal in england a few years ago
i was so jealous XD
anyway
OMG
today is subaru's and hokuto's (from tokyo babylon, that's them on my BG) BIRTHDAY!!
yessss!! happy birthday su-chan and hokuto-chan!!^_^
not that anyone cares except me lol

chinese luncheon
well at school we had a chinese luncheon today, knox and i have busted our butts for the past three days decorating the cafeteria, and it looked really good. the other class and part of our class brought the food, but unfortunately we had to invite the seventh grade, so those ungrateful little heathens came in, ignored us and our hard work, got to eat before us, and left without saying thanks
awful little preps
hate them so much
but it was alright, besides the presence of THEM
everyone thought it was great
and i taught at least five ppl how to use chopsticks
