The Real Audition Blues
As you all may or may not know, I auditioned for a play on Saturday, and had a callback today, and found out if I got in or not.
Well, if you're not right for the part, you're not right for the part.
Luckily, I was, in fact, right for the part.
BOO-YAH! I GOT IN! I GOT IN! In the immortal words of a good friend, I rock more ass than Bill Clinton in a whorehouse! Okay, maybe not THAT much, but I'm pretty happy!
I went with a friend, who they showed interest in from the beginning in a certain part (since she's black, like the role called for, not to mention she's a superb actress,) so she was in from the get-go. But a few people read well for the part I fit best into. All of them conceited and rather histrionic, and looked down on me because they were all twenty-somethings, and I was just a little kid. I thought I got screwed over for sure. But ya know what? I got picked for the part! GO ME! Hehe, sorry.
Aurus, I hope you have the same AMAZING good luck with your cast list! I'm sure you will, in fact, my dear ^__^ Have a great MLK day, kids!

Yee-haw!
I finally finished up Escaflowne! Woo-hoo! And for the occasion, here's an old quiz from a loooooooooooong time ago:
You are Dillandau from "Escaflowne"!
You are PSYCHOTIC evil.
ANIME QUIZ - Which Evil Anime Badass Are You? brought to you by Quizilla
*Giggles all creepy-like* Do you think I need you to tell me that? DO YOU? *Punch* I hate people like you who think they know everything! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! *Sets quiz on fire*
Hehehe... here's a few versions of the story!
(Molletta, Red Tigress, and NightBeck's version:)
"I want him dead, DEAD! Dead as a doornail, dead as the whole freakin' door! I want him dead as the whole damn house!"
"But my Lord, he's got a two day head start with your favorite chicken. There's no way we can catch him."
"You'll catch him!! You'll catch him and bring my Henny back. My morning walk would just not be the same without her on her leash."
"But my lord, you don't go on morning walks. You weigh 292 pounds."
"...What do you know?"
...And so, the young knight went off on his mission to recapture the Lord's favorite chicken, Henny. "What a ridiculous quest. I should be saving beautiful maiden, not chasing chickens. Who am I, a farmer?"
So, the knight travelled day and night until he came upon the ruffians. They had a pot over their fire, and the knight was sudddenly struck with terror.
"What have you done?" yelled the knight, horrorstruck. The man stared at the knight and blinked. "Answer me, knave!"
"Mmmmfffffmmmmggmm..." the peasant responded.
"What?" asked the knight, confused.
"Mmmmmgffffggmm--" the mumbling was cut off by a choking noise, and the peasant began to turn colors.
"Good Lord!" yelled the knight, panicking. What would he do now?
TBC...
(Aurus, SomeGuy, and Red Tigress' version:)
"I want him dead, DEAD! Dead as a doornail, dead as the whole freakin' door! I want him dead as the whole damn house!"
"But sir, you know... er... the house isn't really dead. After all, it's made of wood, which is currently infested with termites. Not to mention the wombat in the closet and all the tiny squid we found in the water heater... so when you think about it, the house really isn't quite dead, is it...."
"....."
"... So... does that mean you want him alive?"
"Shut up, lackey."
The lackey charged out the front gate bawling his eyes out heavily. It was not the first time his lord had openly discredited him in such a way, but to him, every time hurt. The fact of the matter was, Lord Alaric was an especially violent man prone to all forms of boorish conduct. And to the lackey, enough was enough . . . if only there was someone who would be willing to remind Alaric of his youth; of times gone by when such demeanours were not always the case . . .
. . but who?
As he was eating, the King heard a sound from the open window. He looked over and saw a hand pop up.
"What the? JESUS! THERE'S A..."
But he cut himself off as the most beautiful ninja woman he'd ever seen climbed through the window blinked at him.
TBC...
(Rustym's version:)
"I want him dead, DEAD! Dead as a doornail, dead as the whole freakin' door! I want him dead as the whole damn house!"
"Um...who do you want dead?" the servant asked. He had brought in the king's breakfast and had been suddenly yelled at.
"The gardener!"
The servant looked at him blankly. "The gardener, m'lord?"
"Yes, he ruined my prize roses!"
"You don't have roses, m'lord." He set the tray down in front of the king.
"Oh. Well, then. Never mind." He set about eating his breakfast and the servant shook his head and left.
TBC...
(Sahkircye's version:)
"I want him dead, DEAD! Dead as a doornail, dead as the whole freakin' door! I want him dead as the whole damn house!"
"How shall I do it sir?" she asked softly.
"I dunno, use a knife!"
"A knife?! But that's dangerous! He could die!"
"That's the whole point! Use the knife!" he shouted in command.
She scratched her head and stared at the knife in her hand. Then she started to whimper. He sighed in exasperation and asked, "What now??"
"I need a prettier knife. This one's not shiny enough."
"But...but!" he stammered, staring at her in disbelief. "It's sharp enough! I just want you to KILL him!!"
"Oh my! You want him dead?!? How terrible!"
Quite annoyed, he clenched his fist, and ran a hand down his face, pulling at the skin. He growled and shouted, "OF COURSE I WANT HIM DEAD DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME?!?!"
"Oh! I have a knife why didn't you say so?"
He felt even more annoyed. He looked up at the sky and clenched at his head murmuring in a desperate manner, "Oh shoot me now, just shoot me..."
"Now YOU want to be dead? Sir...you have to make up your mind, it's either him or you," she sighed feeling frustrated.
"Him...kill HIM! I said I want him dead as a doornail!!"
"Okay...NOW we're making sense..." she said flashing him a bubbly grin. She asked, "Now how do you want me to do it?"
"USE THE KNIFE YOU MORON!!"
"And get blood on it? No way! This knife is too pretty and shiny! I don't wanna get blood on it!"
Then sighing, he clenched his fists and banged his head repeatedly on the wall.
TBC...
(Moldy Headbread's version)
"I want him dead, DEAD! Dead as a doornail, dead as the whole freakin' door! I want him dead as the whole damn house!"
"But sir, a house is an inanimate object, so the guy can't be dead as it."
"God Damnit I said do it you piece of s**t!"
"Even he could be as dead as a house, your asking me to kill a 10,000 year old demon, who is vertually invincible, and can annihilate entire planets."
"Why should I care about your safety!? that demon destroyed my teddy bear, and i want him dead! Heres a twig to defend yourself with. Get to it!"
"... Yes, sir... son of a b***h..."
"What was that!?!?!"
"Nothing, sir... I'm sooooo screwed..."
TBC...
Haha, very nice. Feel free to continue off any of these!
Now... *turns back to quiz* I'm not finished with you yet. Burn... burn...BURN! AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!

*Insert subject here*
Gah. I really need to cheer up.
It was just one of those days when every little thing upset me. I get really moody when I'm sick, heh heh.
It probably didn't help that I had to read my poem in Creative Writing, where my classmates hate every poem written by someone who is not a senior. Pretentious losers (my class AND the seniors). I'll just keep my work to myself. BM, will you help me tar and feather? Hehehe.
And our Star Wars unit in TV/Film got postponed because our teacher had a family emergency. So while she's gone, we're going to watch American Graffiti instead (another George Lucas film, if you didn't know) So the unit starts next week, so be patient, Red ^__^
But a good thing happened! My Escaflowne box set arrived! YAHOO! Unfortunately, I can't watch it until my homework is done.
So let's do something entertaining to cheer me up, huh? This is something Sahkiryce did a while back. I'm gonna give you an opening line, and you can write something off it! Just a paragraph or so. And make it funny, please! We're making everyone happy! I'll even make a post out of the whole story when it's big enough! Enjoy!
"I want him dead, DEAD! Dead as a doornail, dead as the whole freakin' door! I want him dead as the whole damn house!"
Have fun!

Uh oh, Beck did some writing!
Yes, since I am in a Creative Writing class, I wrote a poem for an assignment today. The assignment was to write a poem to an instrumental or mostly instrumental song. I picked 'Clocks' by Coldplay. Sooooo, here goes:
Torrential Downpour
I just had to get outside for one minute.
I step under the pouring rain,
letting the droplets cool off my burning skin.
It's always too hot in that house.
Today you insisted on leaving the windows rolled,
and the fire stoked, like you couldn't feel the heat radiating
off your own walls.
And I hate to say it,
but you're stifling me.
Endless talk about the men in your life,
Your 20-something boyfriend,
your married fling,
your ex-who-so-desperately-wants-you-back,
until your rapturous babbling is cut short
by the sound of the phone,
and you wave me away to attend to
more urgent matters.
When we were younger,
we were the only people in this world
who mattered.
We'd run barefoot in our city that always rains,
never feeling the cold on our bare shoulders.
Until you started preferring the warmth of sunny weather,
and left me to evaporate.
Yep, that was my poem! Hope you enjoyed it! And if you didn't... you didn't, go ahead and tell me!

Hooray for impulse buys!
In case I didn't get enough new anime, I just bought the Escaflowne box set on eBay. Fun stuff! Paycheck and Christmas money are now all used up... and I have no more gift cards... *tear* Oh well! My box set should come by the end of the week. Hooray for Escaflowne! Heh, that rhymed.
I have 699 visits. Come on somebody! Visit..visit...
Got a haircut. I no longer have Legato style bangs! I can see!
I get to go to DisneyWorld at the end of the month for another Sweet 16. Unfortunately, it's the same day as this thing for Latin class that you either go to or do a project. Oh well, I guess I'll have to do the project! *Sighs* My ex best friend will try to make me feel guilty... well, she's already trying that for talking to people other than her...
Here's some fun pictures for you! Thanks for the site, Millenium Chaos! Go angsty Frodo!
Awwwww! That makes me sad...
And that one just cracks me up.
Heh, there's about 10,000 more. Here's the site!

C...cc...cc... cold! Must turn up heat... have a good weekend!

Ho hum...
Oh my, Beck's ranting again.
Any of you ever had that moment where your ex best friend comes crawling back to you? I've had about 10 of them in the past week.
Well, my ex best friend has been sweet talking me, saying "Oh we never do anything anymore" or "We've really grown apart this year." Meanwhile, the only thing I can think is, "Uh-huh, uh-huh, so what do you want now?" And I hate that I've become cynical like that. Last school year I would have accepted her "apology" without question, become her best friend all over again. I used to be sweet like that. Gullible, stupid, but sweet. Even though I'm much happier this year than last year, I wonder if I'm being selfish, and if she really wants to be friends with me again. One can't really know for sure, I guess. She lied to me plenty of times before.
Haha, I guess you guys can relate, right? Everyone has that bad best friend experience, or if you're like me, you went from one to another. But my group of otaku friends, both on here and in real life, have never hurt me. Something about anime makes people nicer? O_o
By the way, we got report cards today. Since I use this as my journal, I hope you guys don't mind if I post them.
Latin- A
Creative Writing- A
Essay/Debate- A
Chem 1 Honors- B+
Gym- B (Because I asked the teacher if we could play more physically challenging games in place of ping pong and badmitton. And he overreacted. Sheesh.)
Algebra 2 Honors- A-
English 2 Honors- A
TV/Film- A
Not bad, huh? Except for that gym grade. Anyways, I'm off for now. I'll make a more entertaining post later, I just had to get that off my chest. Bye!

No homework. Man, I could get used to this.
Very uneventful day indeed. I got attacked with a stuffed duck in Chemistry, but that was about it.

And soon to add one more! I forgot, I got another late Christmas present: Fushigi Yugi episodes 1-12! I've heard nothing but good things about it, except from my friend Tania who says she doesn't like the creator or the way it's drawn or something weird. But she hasn't seen it yet, and she did the same thing with Gravitation before she saw it (and now it's one of her favorites)...
Hope everyone had a good day. Adios!

Monday, bloody Monday...
Gah. Back at school. But... *throws head skyward* WHYYYYYYYYYYYY? Heh heh.
English class was different enough. We're starting our Fairy Tales unit n' all. Today we read about 16 different versions of Little Red Riding Hood, and I was forced to sing in front of the class because I was the only one who knew the song, "Hey there little red riding hood, you sure are looking good..." complete with wolf howl. Entire class has sworn to call me "Little Red Riding Hood" for the rest of my days. Quite educational. Hate English.
I got some Christmas presents today from the deadbeats! Yes, that's right, I got an Aragorn poster (RotK), a Trigun poster with Vash on it, and boxer shorts. Third friend has odd sense of humor. Ohwell. Quite comfortable as pajamas, anyway.
Star Wars unit begins in TV/Film soon! Next week, in fact. So exciting! One unit where I'm sure to get an A. Debate, I'm not so sure about. I'm not very good at arguing, and although I got A's the last two quarters, I have to do some sparring on Wednesday on my own. Help me!
So, so bored. When will Latin homework end? Too.. much... Spartacus...
I appear to be in a rather bitchy mood today. I'm sorry everyone! I'll spin for you! *Spins around in circles* Sorry, was that rather random? Apologies. Here's an irrelevant quiz!
What attracts people to you? brought to you by Quizilla
*Blushes* You lie...
Well, I'm off to do Latin homework, then go off to do whatever. I hope you all are doing well! And I hope no one else tries to call me "Little Red Riding Hood" tommorow. *Wince*

Tra la la la la, spring is in the air...
... or is it? o.O It is January 4th after all. Sheesh. For those of your wondering, it was 80 today. Yes, 80 degrees farenheit.
Anyway, the anime buying yesterday went quite well. I bought 1 Fruits Basket DVD, and one Inuyasha DVD, both for ridiculous amounts of money. So I spared myself future grief and signed up for a frequent buyer card. Discounts, yaaaaaaay!
But I can't really sit down and watch any of it until this paper for TV/Film is done. Hmmmmm, I think I always have a paper due in TV/Film. Oh well! It's a great class. Speaking of classes: *ahem*... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Hahah. But at least Gym is over and done with. Now I have Psychology! I hear you get to analyze movie characters when the teacher is in a good mood. Fun fun!
Watched Rurouni Kenshin last night. Have decided I hate the English dubbing system. Simply too painful to watch Sano look angry, but just deadpan all his lines. "You are stupid. Don't kill yourself. You'll see you family again, don't you know." Not to mention Kaoru's VA is Meryl in Trigun. And her voice just grates on my nerves. It's horrible.
Heh, got off track there. Wait, what track was I on in the first place? School? Dubbing? I don't even know anymore.
Off to finish schoolwork, then watch anime. If you're going back to school tommorow as well, good luck!
