Mimmi
And now, I move on to Love Post #2. And trust me, I was looking forward to this one.
I've known Mimmi for a few years now, and I can still remember the exact moment when I realized what an amazing person she was. I signed her guestbook knowing that she was popular, and quite well-liked on the site, and being a simple myOer, I didn't really expect much back. So you can imagine my shock when I received a quick, unbelievably friendly response from her.
But that's the kind of person Mimmi is. She won't hesitate to make you feel welcome, and she's never intimidating or overpowering... unless, of course, you deserve it. And if you've managed to make such a kind, patient girl mad, you can get off the internet right now, sir.
She's got this amazingly infectious joy and optimism that comes through in every bit of her site. You can actually feel her smile through her words, and you can't help but smile back. Each one of her posts, whether about her life, the anime she's been watching, or a cute story inspired by Literati, contains a little bit of herself. She isn't some aloof internet personality; what you see really is what you get.
You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who cares as much about anything as she does for her friends. She'll go out of her way to bring some happiness into their lives, even if she's lacking it in hers. I know she doesn't always have it easy, and I worry about her, but she's also one of the strongest people I know. I have faith that she'll make it through everything life throws at her, and come out of it with a smile.
Mimmi, if I could, I'd give back even half the happiness you've given me over this few years. But for now, take this post... and your postcard from Japan, once I mail it.
