Well well, look at this... someone's another year older today.
I met you around this time three years ago. Remember? I had a myO account here already, but I picked it up for the first time when I saw that one of my favorite FF.net authors had an account. I knew already that I loved your writing. But I didn't know what I was in for, either.
You were the first friend I had on the internet, the first person who showed me how truly in love I could be with simply text and emoticons. Because it's not that simple, it never is. We shared the same laughter that "real life" friends do, we exchanged fun things and talked hours into the night. We shared some things we wouldn't dare say out loud. We cried together on more than one occasion.
But you came through all that, with all the grace and strength I've known you had all along. No matter what happens, you live by your own rules, and that's just amazing to me. And at the drop of a hat, you'll put anything aside to be there for your friends, even if we're stubborn and want to hide it. You'll lend us a shoulder to cry on, you'll threaten to beat up whoever it is hurting us, or you'll offer something fun to distract us. Talking to you makes me feel warm, happy, and loved; too many people never let their friends know how important they are, but you know that life's too unpredictable for that.
Mimmi was right, you know, when she said a while back that you were the Mother Earth of myO. You give us everything, without even waiting for us to ask. And even if some people forget sometimes, all any of us want to do is give you something back.
Dark Phoenix, Shandrial, Shan-chan, my yami... it'll be a long time before I'll be able to give you as much as you've given me. But let's start now.
