Interesting Wednesday

Yesterday was great. It was my first day of US History 1 and Understanding Mass Media. History dosn't seem all that special, but Understanding Mass Media seems like it'll be fun. Got done around 10:40ish and just hung out in my dorm until I went to eat lunch at Cyber Cafe. Afterwards, it was my work for my scholarship, which wasn't too hard. Then more computer timr, and then dinner before the club. Anime club was great. I had fun running the meeting this week. Plus, all the committee members were interviewed for Sidelines, the campus newspaper. I can't wait to get that issue. We watched Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Fate/Stay Night, Blood+, Paradise Kiss, GunXSword, and Tokyo Mew Mew. It was a fun meeting. Afterwards came the usual hanging out at Cyber Cafe, where I participated in many wireless Mario Kart matches on our DSs. After leaving Cyber Cafe, a bunch of us headed to a friends's dorm to watch Bible Black. Yes, THAT Bible Black. If you don't know what it is, good for you. It was fun, making fun of it. The dubbing was quite funny. Lots of laughs were had. Even more funny was the fact that her roommate was in the other room. I'm sue she thinks we're all even weirder now. Well, I left after midnight and got to my dorm, where I went to sleep after 1. Today, I have class. In fact, I'd better go shower and get ready. I'll leave you all to your commenting. Have fun. Bye.

Snow on Cars = Snowball Fight

nn nWhat Full Metal Panic Character Are You?n nHosted by theOtaku.com: Anime. Done right.n Snow is so fun. Even if I don't get out of class, as long as I can have a good snowball fight, it's good. Tuesday was my first day of classes. Experiences of Literature was awesome. My teacher wrote books on Buffy, X-Files, and other tv shows. He seems fun too. I like it. Themes of Literature and Culture, however, was boring. I dropped it for an anthropology class with some friends from the anime club, so yay for more anime club people. Japanese 2, I really felt my loss of info over the break, but it was fine. I saw plenty more anime club people. Afterwards, some errands around campus. I had to get a new umbrella since mine broke today and it rained all day. The new one works well enough. Well, dinner was back to normal with a bunch of my friends. It was snowing afterwards, and it snowed a lot throughout the night. It's not enough to cover the fairly warm streets, but it piled up on the cars quite well. Snow-covered cars = snowball fight. Well, I had an anime club committee meeting at 9, and it seems that we got a lot of things done. Then over to the Cyber Cafe where we talked and hung out. Finally, I left, getting into a snowball fight with some friends who left just a bit earlier and were sucked into the snow. That was a fun and quick fight. After leaving that, I came here, where I am. I have an 8am class tomorrow, so I'll have to get up early for that. Plus, before I go to sleep, I have to make the list of anime to show at the club Wednesday night. I should get to that, so I'll say good night now. Have fun commenting.

Like the New Look?

Yeah, I've done some site changes. The main background and the post background are both from Adult Swim's website. The main one is an AS original, while the post bg is of Fooly Cooly. Well, my weekend is now over. Classes start Tuesday, 9:40am for me. I'll probably get up around 8am, much better than 5:45. As for the weekend, I spent it hanging out with friends. It's fun. So many of us have Nintendo DSs, and many of them have more games than me, so I get to play their games. Fun. It's nice being back on campus. All my friends here. I get to eat meals with them. Plus, no parents telling me what to do. It just feels more free here. It's nice being back. I don't really have anything else to say, so have fun commenting. Bye.

Back to College Life

I've returned to the college life, and it feels good. I had to get up today and eat breakfast, finish packing, do some laundry, clean my room, and I was off to camput around 2ish. I got here around 3pm. My dad helped me carry stuff up and gave me $40. My roommate ended up moving back in at the same time. Odd coincidence. Well, I made my bed, unpacked my manga and figures, and got online. I missed this connection. After checking out some sites and starting bit comet, I went out to see if I can wander into people, and I did. I met various friends, and I hung out for hours. I also lost my messenger bag. It's probably in the cafeteria (I hope). It has my DS, my idea notebooks, and some loan info in it, so I really need it back. I'll check there Sunday since it was closed by the time I went back. Other than the bag, it's been a great night, and I'm sure it'll be a great semester. Now, I'm thinking of calling it a night, so I'll talk to you all later. Bye.

It's Raining, It's Pouring...

Storming outside on this morning of Friday the 13th. For me, it's the last day of working with my dad for winter break. Got paid yesterday, work today, and go back to campus tomorrow. I think I'm in a pretty good mood too. I'm going to get home, shower, and start packing for tomorrow. Got plenty of new stuff to take with me. Anime, manga, comics, movies, figures, and so forth that I got over the break. I can't wait for tomorrow. I want to get back to all my friends. After going so long without a social life and then finally getting one over the last semester, I kinda want to get back to it after being away from it all over the break. It hasn't been a bad break, but I've worked plenty enough, so I would like to get back to school. Funny how this is my break, but I don't consider the break to start until I get back at school since I've been working throughout my actual break. I am glad though that I worked. My only real problem with the job is the early wake up time. Otherwise, it's fine. I get to ride around to different places around and outside Nashville. I even went all the way up to Cookville the other day. The work isn't too hard, and the pay isn't bad either. Still, I'd rather find another job for the summer. Something that starts a bit later, and preferrably in walking pr bus distance, seeing as I'm not buying a car anytime soon. Well, that's all for now. Got to finish getting ready for work. Almost There

Boy, I'm tired. It's after 6 am right now. I hate being up this early, but just a few more days of this. Friday is my last day of work, and I move back to campus on Saturday. I have some early classes, but nothing earlier than 8 am, which is still better than now. Plus, I can sleep in class ^_^ The weekend was fairly boring. I did chored around the house. Not too fun. I did finish Escaflowne, so that's another series out of the way. Pretty good too. Not really anything else eventful over the weekend. I'll work this week. Have to pack Friday since I'll be moving into my dorm on Saturday. That'll be nice. I miss all my friends and my nice high speed connection. Class starts back Tuesday, so I have a couple of days for a break. Anime club meeting Wednesday, and I have been missing those. I've been missing a lot of stuff about college. It'll be good to be back. I've been working out some possibilities for layout changes. They aren't up at the moment since I haven't made up my mind, but I'm working on it. Weird Dreams

I'm trying to cut back on some of my blog posts. It's getting kinda boring to just post about my day when nothing happens that's interesting. However, I had some weird dreams last night that have encouraged me to post about my night. Last night, I got home from work and showered. I then went on to watch about five episodes of Escaflowne and eat a tv dinner. I tried watching tv, but there wasn't much on, so around 9-ish, I layed on my bed and drifted into sleep until my dad woke around 11. I got ready for bed and went to sleep. Now, for the dreams. I had three because I woke up a couple of times. 1. I was going to a new college on the bus. When I got there, I noticed that there were a couple of people I'd seen before from MTSU, including our former anime club president. I then saw a few people from high school. One started to talk to me, and we had a conversation. Someone gave me a wallet that I thought was good, but the guy I was talking to didn't. For some reason, I didn't have my wallet, so I worried and went to go get my wallet from where ever I was keeping my stuff. I didn't find my current wallet, just my old denim wallet, but it had everything in it. When I got back to that college, I found my regular wallet under my old one in my pocket. I woke up. 2. I was in a house, which was seemingly mine, with some friends, and then there was a knock on my door. It was Spike from Buffy and Angel. Somehow, he had become human, which I remembered happening in my dream. He was upset that I didn't get him a good birthday present. It looked like someone sent him a small GI Joe that I didn't know about, and he was complaining. Then, Martha Kent, Superman's mom, the one from Smallville, was making him a sampler food tray. Not the food, she was making the tray. I believe it was this dream or the last one I heard my dad yell "Hey Nick! Time to get up," and I woke up, looking around, and realizing that it was part of the dream, I went back to sleep. 3. Angel from Buffy and Angel was fighting these people who are infected by some paracitic creature. They're fighting in a pool, in sunlight, odd for a vampire, but it's not hurting him. The people are winning most of the time, with Angel unable to fight well most of the time since they move very well in the water. The creature possessing them gives some master plan I don't remember. I do remember this one girl who was posessed stopped breathing like she was drowning. Angel took her out to give her CPR, and I was thinking that was weird since he doesn't even breath, so how can he breath air into her lungs. Well, he took her out, but somehow, along the way, it was me giving her CPR. I was worried that I wasn't doing it right, and I tasted vomit in her mouth when I tried to breath air into her lungs. Her eyes also had blood in them. My dad said something like don't move her head or something like that. Then, I woke up. Very odd dreams. My guess, too much tv and too much of my dad. Let It Snow...Please

Tuesday morning, 6:30ish am, getting ready for work. Of course, getting ready includes some online time here. New Years Day was pretty uneventful. Stayed at home, helped de-decorating the tree and throwing it in my dad's truck. The folks left to spend the night at some friends' house, so I had the place to myself all night. That was cool, but I didn't do much anyway. Yesterday was Monday, and I had the day off, so I took the bus up to go shopping. I hit Media Play first for the closing sales. 40% off of DVDs, but for some reason, they stopped selling books, so I couldn't get any manga T_T. There's still anime DVDs, so I got vol 2-8 of Escaflowne. That's 7 DVDs, almost the entire series, except for the first volume. I then headed to Hot Topic to use up my gift card my dad got me. I got a Trigun and a Paranoia Agent shirt. There was a cool Transformers jacket I wanted, but I just got my Naruto hoodie for Christmas, so I don't need another jacket. While at Hot Topic, I bumped into my aunt and some of my cousins there, and we went to IHOP. My aunt took me home, where I ate steak. The rest of the night was pretty uneventful, with me going to bed around 11 since I got up early. Oh yeah, yesterday's high was 75 F. That's a new record. It's also TOO FREAKIN HOT for it to snow.    Happy New Year

Happy new year everyone (technically about 10 more minutes to go for me). Hope it's a good one for everyone. This new year's eve, I was at a late Christmas party with my dad's side of the family. It was good. Fed some ducks and geese and sea gulls with my cousins. We did a dirty santa game where you can open presents or steal someone else's present. Not really going to go into the rules. I ended up with 30 CD-Rs and a CD book that can carry 64 CDs. Now, all I need is a working CD burner. Still a cool present. Not doing much to usher in the new year. I'm online and watching a Law and Order: CI marathon at the same time. As for new years day, I probably won't do much. Might head into the mall area on Monday though since I have the day off. Catch some sales at Media Play or use my Hot Topic gift card. Go back to work on Tuesday. In about two weeks, I'll be back on campus. Yay. I guess that's all for now. Have a good year everyone.

Last Friday of the Year

Yay, it's Friday. Given, it's around 6am in the morning, so not much of a yay event at the moment. I wish I could go back to sleep. I got paid yesterday. I think I either got a raise or a Christmas bonus since my check was $100 more than usual. I'm not complaining. I hope it's a raise so I'll get paid that next week. Well, it's Friday. Tomorrow, it's New Year's Eve. I'll be spending the day part with my dad's side of the family for a late Christmas party. Afterwards, I guess I'll just hang out in my room like I usually do. No plans for New Year's Day. Just a couple more weeks, and I'll be back at college with all my friends and my high speed. Can't wait for that. I guess that's all.
