One Week and Counting
MTAC 06 pics at http://mtsu.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2030941&l=27b2f&id=38400215
If you want to go see the theme to MTAC 07, go click the button at the top of the page. There's an amv of the theme done to Mr Roboto.
First exam is over. It was in Mass Media, and I believe it wasn't hard.
Last anime club meeting of the semester, aside from ADA tomorrow, was held Wednesday. We gave away crap, and that made people seem happy, so I'll do more of that next semester. Also, some people from http://www.omgcon.com came by to talk to the club and hand out flyers. It was a good meeting, but we did kinda end on a sour note, trying to work out some issues. I don't really want to leave for summer, but I'm so ready for this semester to end. This club will be ran so much better in the fall. We were all kinda screwed over this semester with basically having the club dropped in our laps from our former president's sudden resignation, and we didn't quite know what the hell we were doing. However, we've learned a lot, and I believe next semester will actually go more smoothly than before.
Enough of that. Yesterday was awesome. I went swimming at the rec center with a bunch of friends, doing those spinners down those tubes (water slide). It was a blast. I also hung out with some para people as they practiced in the quad. They were good, as usual, and people even joined in.
I have a week left on campus, three exams to take, and the rest will be plenty of free time. I should probably start on filling out the group registration form for AWA sometime soon, but I really do have all summer to get all of that straightened out. Probably won't do anything else constructive, at least nothing I can think of. I figure with just a week left, I probably won't be hit with an epiphany of what I should be doing, and I probably won't be getting a girlfriend, especially since there probably won't be any new girls around me in the next week, so I'm going to just take it easy and hang out. Then, in a week, I'll be back home for all summer, hopefully to return occasionally for some CUSTOMS and other assorted events that may randomly pop up.
I guess that's all. I'll leave you to your comments. Have a good weekend.

Back from MTAC (that rhymes)
What an amazing weekend. I had a blast. Lack of sleep and nurishing food may still be getting to me, but I'm still happy.
Volunteering is definately the way to go. I got there Thursday night, before the con actually started, and I helped some in the dealers room. I helped set up Anime Pavillion, which is a freaken huge anime/manga dealer, and I got $30 in credit that I used to buy Genshiken vol 3 dvd, thus having the whole series. I also got figures, wallscrolls, posters, and dojinshi. Anime Palace was cool for finding a figure that I lost (Palace and Pavillion FTW). I bought an MTAC shirt and forehead protector at the MTAC gift shop (yay volunteer discounts).
I didn't spend all my time there though. Went to a few panels on writing, running a panel, anime clubs, running a con, and Naruto. Those were all good, and some were fairly informative.
There were cosplayers galore. I saw some really good ones. My friends Krystal, Neal, and Daniel had some really good KH2 ones and even won an award. The cosplay contest was great, and there were other good ones not even in the contest. I already have ideas for some for me that will probably fall through but hopefully not. I can be Link because my friend Cristina wants to do Navi, so she'll annoy me and I'll chase her down and hit her with my sword. Also, going with the theme, a good one would be Char from Mobile Suit Gundam. That would be just plain awesome.
All the party-type stuff was cool. the Rendez-vous A La'Atelier was cool. I got in on Cristina's plus 1 invite. Got some sparkling grape juice, and I was thirsty. Plus, I had blown up a lot of balloons earlier for the party (inhaling helium wasn't allowed T_T), so I was of some help for that. The rave was good too, especially with a raving Chewbacca and Stormtroopers. I didn't dance, which shouldn't be surprising. I usually have to be forced onto the dance floor, preferrably by the opposite gender like at last year's rave.
Overall, it was a great con. As my friend Matt might say, it was better than zepplins with spinners. I was so glad to see so many club members there volunteering, and I plan to get even more to work there next year. I got my 10 hours in the first two days, and I still worked some on Sunday. Of course I'm volunteering next year. As good as this one was, next year will be so much better.
So basically, MTAC 06 was amazing. I have some pics, not all suck either, that will be up hopefully before Wednesday. Now that's all the way, I'll leave you with three words for next year's con: GIANT EFFING ROBOTS!!! (that's the next theme) |

Off to MTAC
It is now the time. This Thursday afternoon, I'm off to Cool Springs, TN to help set up for MTAC 06. It's going to be freaken awesome. I'll be there from Thursday to Sunday. I believe I'm staying at a friend's place in between con days, which will mean showers and a few hours of sleep. I have $190 ready and the battery on the digital camera is charging. I just hope my poorly put together nice clothes get me into the ParaKiss party.
Well, in other news, we had committee elections for the 06/07 year for the Anime Club. I got on again, which makes me very happy. We do have some committee members going out and new ones coming in. It is sad to see that not everyone made it. We had so many good choices for the committee, which is good because we don't have a shortage of capable members, but it's also bad because there's just so many that would be good but only seven slots. Still, I think the new committee will do well, and I hope to work with people in and out of the committee to make the club better.
Earlier, I was talking to a friend, and I had said that people listen to me for some odd reason. He said it was because I was loud, obnoxious, and honest, and I would be the world's worst politician. I actually liked that.
Well, I still have to finish some homework and study for Japanese. After class, it'll be con time, even if it doesn't technically start until Friday. I'm still so excited. I guess I'll see you all later then. Have a nice night and a nice weekend, and have fun commenting.

Post B-Day Recap
Well, my b-day weekend is over. I'm now 20. Who's bright idea was it anyway to let me age? Does someone actually think I can function as an adult? If so, then someone needs to take some medication and have a straightjacket on. Also, people tell me that some Easter holiday happened this weekend too. Something about eggs and rabbits. Weird.
Well, here's my gift list:
-birthday cards from family
-$50 total from aunts
-$40, new pants, and 120 minutes on my phone from dad
-Feel the Magic: XX/XY from friend Angelo
-Half-Life from friend Cupcake
-DearS vol 6 from friend Seihn
I got to have chicken and dumplings and cake on Friday at my cousin's house. Spent Friday night at my aunt's house with my sister. When I got to my dad's house on Saturday where I put a new bookcase in my room and put books and dvds and anime figures on it. Need more storage since my manga/graphic novel/anime/figure collections have grown a lot compared to what they were when I left last fall. Also ate steak that night. Sunday, I tilled my dad's garden. Also got to let my dad give me the digital camera for the rest of the semester. On the way back to campus, dad took me to Wal-Mart where he got me some cargo pants, a pair of shorts, and an air-time card for my cell. I got back to campus, hung out with friends, some of whom gave me gifts, which was great and deserves pay back in some form. I typed up half of history homework, and now I'm just goofing off. I would assume that brings us up to speed.
MTAC is this weekend. YAY!!!!!! This week, however, will be a pain. I have some document summaries in history due, which aren't that hard, and I'm half done. What I haven't started on though are my English paper and my Japanese workbook. I can knock out the workbook during scholarship service hours. As for the paper, I'll be praying. I can't wait until Thursday night since I won't be here Thursday night. I guess that means Wednesday night will go very late. Also, I have to work in getting a hair cut, figure out what to wear to the Paradise Kiss party at MTAC, make a list of what all I need to buy, get the digital camera to work properly, find out where I'm staying during the con, and probably some other stuff that will pop up. It'll be a stressful week and a stressful weekend, but it'll all be worth it.
I took a chainmail survey Thursday that said that I would find a girlfriend before my birthday, which was Saturday. It failed, as I suspected. Still, it's not right to raise people's hopes and and break the faith they have in the chainmail that's supposed to better their lives. You should be ashamed of yourself, chainmail writter. That's all. I'll leave you to your commenting. Have a nice week.

I Have No Title
Well, it's the mid-point in the week, and anime club is over for the night, so it's time for a post.
The week has been pretty good. The class got out of a quiz in anthropology on Tuesday, which was awesome. Many of my classes have cancelled a class this week. Mass media was cancelled today, and history didn't seem important enough to go, so I slept in all day. It felt good. Experiences of lit is cancelled tomorrow morning, and everything is cancelled on Friday.
Outside of class, not much. Read some Chobits, Ranma 1/2, and Deathnote. Watched some Mushishi. At the club, we watched Digimon Savers (the newest series), Scrapped Princess, Ergo Proxy, Getbackers, and Disgaea. It was a pretty good night. We even voted on mascots and nominated people to run for committee for next year. We'll vote on that next week.
MTAC is the weekend after this one, so I'm freaken happy. It'll be so much fun. I'll be going home this weekend to see if I can drain cash from my dad. It's easier to do that when it's your birthday, like mine is this weekend. I'm also getting a trim for my hair and maybe see about using my dad's digital camera. I should probably take some stuff home since I don't even have a month left on campus. Don't know what to take though.
Ok, enough of that. I don't have class until 1 pm on Thursday, so I'm happy. I'll be on campus until sometime Friday when I go over to my mom's house for I guess a birthday tour of houses of family members. I'll miss an ADA, but I think I can survive. Anything else? No, I think that's it for now. I guess I can leave you all to your commenting. Have a nice night. |

Waiting in Cherry Blossoms for Laundry
Well, my weekend is over. Just 6 days left to the big b-day, hitting the two decade mark. Who the hell decided that it was a good idea to let me grow up anyway?
Friday was tons of fun. Lots of rain and hail. There were tornados and damage in other parts of middle Tennessee, but we seemed to be fine in Murfreesboro and MTSU campus. It was cool to look at though. I was watching the xxxHolic movie most of the time, which was good, except some of the art at times. A lot of us gathered at Cyber and ate while it rained. It was fun hanging out with everyone. We weren't really worried about the weather much. Watched Office Space with friends. Also watched Dr Tran for the hell of it, which is always good.
Saturday was the MTAC volunteer meeting. That was fun. Plenty of other people were there , including a good number of MTSU Anime Club folks. After the meeting, a lot of us went to eat at a place called Golden Corral. It was so freaken good. All-you-can-eat buffet with actual steak, and it was good steak. Nice to know there's so many food options around MTAC. Then, we went to Boarders and read manga and comics for a while. After returning, didn't do much else.
Sunday, I did my laundry. Yay for clean clothes. Ate lunch with people. After that, not much. I did get to lay in one of the cherry blossom trees while waiting for laundry, and that was nice. Saw some of Breakfast Club and Top Gun on tv. I ate dinner with even more people. I love hanging out with all my friends. We often eat meals together, and meals are always better with friends.
Guess that's all for now. Everyone have a good night and have fun commenting. |

TGIF
Yay Friday!
Yesterday, I didn't do much. Class, boredom, dinner. I did get to go see the play "Take Me Out" last night. It's about a baseball player who comes out of the closet and deals with some of the aftermath. It was quite a funny play.
Today, I had a test in US History 1. I think I did ok on it. I also had to register for classes for next semester. I got:
* Survey of Advertising
* Public Relation Principles
* Media Writing
* Computer Science Orientation
* Intermediate Japanese 1
Doesn't seem too bad. Only two classes on Tuesday and Thursday, which is good because less work on Thursday means less work on Wednesday night, which is Anime Club night.
Tomorrow is the final MTAC volunteer meeting at the Marriott in Cool Springs at 2pm. I'll be there with other MTSU Anime Club people who are volunteering. Those meetings are fun. That's where I'll be tomorrow. Sunday, I'll do laundry, so fun times shall be had.
In other news, not much. Grades are fine. Still nothing on the relationship front. Guess I should go watch something with my free time. Have fun commenting and have a nice night. |

Post w/o Personal Crap
This is my least personal blog. I tend to put more personal crap in my other blogs since those have readers who know me in person, so they can kinda help more since I'm more likely to post my problems than to tell them in person. Thank you internet.
Well, the anime club met tonight. We had a member favorites, which was cool. I got to see the first episode of the first season of Digimon in Japanese, which was nifty to say the least.
Otherwise, not much. My test went ok. I have another one Friday. Saturday, I have a volunteer meeting for MTAC (see very top of page). That'll be fun.
Otherwise, not much. I guess that's it for now. Thanks everyone for the many comments, even if I've been doing a bad job and not commenting much myself. Everyone have a good night. |

Lot's O' Comments
I had 11 comments in my last post. Wow, that's a lot. Thanks guys.
Well, not much has happened over the week. I read manga last night, mostly Chobits, and some other stuff like Loveless and School Rumble. Otherwise, fairly boring.
Tomorrow is Wednesday, and I have a test. I have a test in another class Friday. Fun stuff.
In other news, not much. I have an anime club meeting tomorrow, and I usually update all my blogs the day after that, so expect more then. Bye. |
