Sorry Everyone
But my story will be delayed. I meant to do part 3 last night, but someone IMed me and I lost track of time. I have exams all this week, and some might actually require studying. I have English, Biology, and 20th Century History this week. Next week, I have a Spanish exam, which is funny because it's after graduation. They are internationally scheduled, so we don't have a choice when to take them. Saturday will be the latest it will be up, and I do doubt it will take that long. Hopefully, I'll have time today.
On second thought, this may be a good thing. I usually just choose a time to type a story and do it then. I don't usually plan much. I do most of the thinking then. Now, I have a chance to plan. As some of you may have guessed, there's a fight scene coming up. I'm thinking of having an all-out brawl, everyone except Tayaku and a demon servant against Niko, for the first part. Then the demon servant vs Niko. Then possibly a fight between Niko and Tayaku. I plan to end it here. As I said, it's just a pilot for the story that I want to put in a manga. Still, thanks for all of your encouraging comments thus far. I'll be sure that the conclusion will be something you like.
Ok. That's it for now. I have to get ready for school. Ok. Bye. |

Greetings
I have a greeting up. I technically have two up, but they're the same one. Kind of funny. Well, I don't see a way to delete them. They don't have that feature like the Fan Art does. Oh well. I'll try to make another one soon. |

I Told You Part 2 Was Coming Soon
“Tayaku? Why do you want to find him?”
“Just some business that I have to take care of while in town.”
“What would you want with a guy like him?”
“And what kind of guy is he?”
“You don’t know?”
“Never met the guy.”
Seria was puzzled. He doesn’t know about Tayaku? Does he even know about how strong he is? She had to ask. “If you don’t know him, why do you need to meet him?”
“He has information that I’m looking for, that is all.”
She smirked. “Well, he and his own little gang are outside the town. They only come to town to bully all the storeowners for supplies. It’s rumored that he’s building an army.”
Niko whispered under his breath, “That’s not his army he’s building.”
“What was that?” Seria asked about what Niko said.
Niko scratched the back of his head and smiled “Oh nothing. Just thinking aloud.”
“Well, I wouldn’t go talk to him. He’ll probably notice your sword and try to get you to join. You not going to join, are you?”
“No way. I just need to ask him some questions.”
“Well, he’ll probably kill you then if you don’t accept his offer. Either that or he’ll kill you just for questioning him or even looking at him. I hear he’s got a real bad temper.” Seria thought for a second. “You can’t go. You may know how to use that sword, but you’ll be outnumbered, and he’s a very skilled fighter. It’s rumored that he was trained by an insanely powerful demon.”
“What kind?” Niko asked.
“What kind?” Seria replied not knowing how to answer. “Kind of demon? I know some demons are different, but aren’t they all just demons?”
“Well, demons come in all different shapes and forms. Some are like animals, some are like humans, and some are like nothing anyone has ever seen. All in all, demons are classified by the element they are affiliated with. There are fire demons, water demons, lightning demons, wind demons, and earth demons like those from last night. They have plant characteristics, such as the pine needle fur and the vines, all of which makes them a type of earth demon”
“Are they just called earth demons?”
“No. They probably have a demon name. However, I’ve never seen those kind before, and they didn’t say the name either.”
Seria wondered. How does he know so much? Is the info he wants from Tayaku more demon info? And what does he mean “they didn’t say the name?” They don’t speak, do they?
“Well, I can take you out of town to their place, but I won’t go further. Tayaku doesn’t like trespassers, and I prefer breathing.”
“Very well. I wouldn’t want you to go any further anyway. As you have described, it’s going to be dangerous. I sure you’ve had your fill of life-threatening situations for this week.”
“Yes I have.” So, Niko followed Seria out of town to a fort surrounded by a towering log fence over twenty feet high. They stood at the large gate. Someone poked his head over the gate from a catwalk on the other side of the fence.
“What do you two want?” yelled the man who was dressed in brown protective leather usually worn in battles.
Before replying to the gatekeeper’s question but while looking at him, Niko told Seria, “Run home. It’s dangerous, remember.”
“But what about you?”:
Still without facing her, “I’ll be fine. I know what I’m doing. Go now and don’t look back.”
“Ok. Good luck with whatever you’re doing.” He’s going to get himself killed.
Seria ran without looking back, just as Niko told him.
“You going to answer or what?” asked the growingly impatient gatekeeper.
Niko looked up and smiled. “Tell you boss that Nikorasu is here to ask him about his boss.”
The gatekeeper paused for a moment, and then laughed. “Tayaku has no boss. He’s the boss of the entire area.”
“Sure he is. Just go tell him Nikorasu is here.”
While still laughing, “Sure. Ok. Your funeral. He hates being disturbed.”
Just at that moment, Tayaku was walking in the middle of the fort, in plain view of the gatekeeper. He was tall, about six feet tall. He had long black hair, purple shirt and pants, and a metal chest plate.
The gatekeeper turned around. “Boss. There’s a guy here asking you about your boss. What a moron.”
“I answer to no one. Who is this guy?”
“He says his name is Nikorasu.”
“Nikorasu?!” Him?! What’s he doing here. He’s traveled all this way? Are the rumors and master’s warnings true? “Don’t let him in. Fill him with as many arrows as you can.”
“Yes sir.” As the gatekeeper kneeled to get his bow and arrows, the gates blew open with an incredibly strong wind. Many of the people were blown back. The gatekeeper was knocked from the fence. As the dust stirred up from the wind cleared, Niko was standing there with a calm expression.
Tayaky thought, So that’s the boy to have caused master’s other forces so much trouble. “Everyone, kill him.”
Over twenty men charged towards Niko. He drew his sword from his sheath.

Part 1 of the Pilot of My Story
Here starts the pilot, the first draft before getting to the real thing. Enjoy.
“HELP!” screamed a wounded woman. Running through a forest, she was leaving a trail of blood. Her upper right arm had been badly cut. The middle of the night is not the best time to be in a forest rumored for being inhabited by dog-like earth demons. Sprouting vines covered with thorns, they are not friendly creatures. Taking a short cut through their resting grounds may seem like a quick way home, but as the woman quickly found out, it may not have been the best of ideas. Just stepping on one tail woke them all up. One bit her arm and they’ve been running since. If not for the full moon providing light for her to see, she surely would have been ripped to shreds by now.
There is a path going through the woods, however. It’s narrow and is hardly noticeable. Few people would actually travel it. He is one of those few. She stumbled onto the path and ran into him. They both hit the ground. He got up first and lent a hand to help her to her feet.
“Are you ok?” asks the man with silver hair and ice blue eyes. She stutters something that he can’t understand. The blood all over her sleeve, however, he has no problem understanding. He lifts his head, as if noticing something.
“Get down. I’ll take it from here.”
“N-n-no. T-t-they’ll kill you,” she managed to utter.
“No they won’t,” said the man in a calm voice.
How can he not be afraid? Does he not know about them or even hear their loud, horrifying roars? she wonders. As he turns, the long blue cape around his shoulders shifts, revealing a sword at his left hip. Does he think he can kill them with that?
He walked forward a few steps. Suddenly, from out of the trees, they lunged forward. Two large demons, about eight feet long and five feet tall when on all four legs. They were a blackish-green color with fur like pine needles. She watched with horror as they appeared to fly from the trees towards her and the strange man. They landed and growled. Their mouths drooled and their dark-yellow eyes began to glow. As she began to faint from the blood loss, all she could see is the man reach for his sword as the demons were just over an arm’s length away.
“Dear, are you all right?” asked the woman’s mother as she began to wake. They were in their home made of wood, in her room. She was lying on her bed with a wet rag on her head and her arm in bandages.
“You gave us quite a scare. It’s a good thing that nice young man found you. Imagine, fainting over losing blood in a fall. We were worried. We told you not to go through that forest. You could have gotten lost.”
“Tree?” wondered the woman. Were the demons just a dream? And that guy too?
“You wait here. I’m going to get some fresh bandages.” Her mother walked out.
Just then, she heard two people speaking in the other room, both with voices she knew. One was her father’s voice, and the other was that same calm voice from last night.
“I can understand why a traveler such as yourself would need a weapon, but still, the craftsmanship. It must have been expensive.”
“Actually, it’s a family heirloom. Didn’t cost a thing.”
She forced herself to get up. The blood loss made her a bit dizzy, but she made it to the doorway. Her father and the man were sitting at the table. Her father turned his head towards his daughter.
“Seria, shouldn’t you still be in bed? We don’t want Niko’s efforts to get you here to be in vain, now do we?”
“Niko?”
The man stood up and smiled. “Yes. That’s me. My name is Niko. Pleased to see you again, this time awake.” He put his hand out for her to shake. She did and noticed a strange mark. It was a circle on the back of his hand, except that the circle was open near the middle knuckles and had a line going through the opening. The marks were light blue.
“What are those?” asked Seria.
Niko looked at his hands. “These?”
“Are they some sort of foreign markings? Are you from some far away village?”
“Seria, you really shouldn’t ask so many questions. It’s…”
Niko interrupted. “It’s all right. I get asked that a lot. Not many silver haired people with odd symbols on their hands around here. That’s about right. I’m not from around here.”
Seria’s then asked, “If you’re not from here, why are you here?”
Niko thought about that. “I’m just traveling for the sake of traveling. No specific reason.”
“And your family doesn’t mind?”
“There’s not much of a family to mind.”
Seria frowned. She was taken by surprise. “Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to…”
“It’s fine. I didn’t know much of them that well anyway. My grandfather raised me. He’s still alive, and he encouraged me to wander around.”
Seria’s mother walked in. “Well, now that Seria is up and about, we can eat lunch. Niko, would you please join us?”
“Sorry, but I really must be going. I don’t want to be caught out in the dark in another creepy forest. It’s kind of hard to see. It’s best if I get going while there’s still sunlight.”
“That seems reasonable enough,” spoke Seria’s father. “Thank you for finding our daughter Niko. We would have been insane with grief if you didn’t bring her to us.”
“Thank nothing of it. I was just fortunate enough to get lost. Again, thank you for the breakfast.”
Seria’s mother said, “It’s the least we could do. Please visit next time you’re in town.”
Niko picked up his sword off of the table and put it in his white sheath. He then waved and walked out the open door into the dirt road. Seria ran out after him. Her parents just figured that she was thanking him.
“Niko!” She caught up, but he kept walking. “Why did you lie and say I fell? Why didn’t you tell them about the demons? What happened to them anyway?”
While walking and without facing her, he replied, “Demons such as those aren’t common around here. They’re vicious and dangerous. The last thing this town needs is to start an angry mob to go after a bunch of demons, just to have many of them die, demons and humans.”
“Then what happened to them?”
“They won’t be bothering you anymore.”
She stopped. What does that mean? How did he stop them?
He kept walking for a bit and then stopped and turned around. “By any chance, do you know where to find a man by the name of Tayaku?”

Way Too Early for School.
It's 6:20AM. I go to school in 10 minutes, and I can't stop yawning. It's a toss up. Go to sleep earlier and actually get sleep, or stay up to watch Trigun. Decisions, decisions. |

Late Thrusday Night or Early Friday Morning
Either way works. I'm getting sick of waiting around for something to happen in the process of making my manga. Because of this, I've decided to make a short story based on it. It will have the main character. It won't have too much in it, like the main character's past (I'm nearly done with the origin, but there are still some bugs to work out). It'll just be your basic wanders-into-town-and-must-fight-bad-guy plot. Nothing too complicated. I'm guessing this means that I've drifted away from that drawing I said I'd do. Well, as I said, I write better than I draw, and I prefer it more too.
I made some Kenshin greeings. The don't seem too hard. Take pictures from the show, add some cool words, get it all the right size, and submit. I'll see if I did it right in a day or two.
I think having a sakabatou (reverse blade sword) and Vash's sunglasses would be cool. It would be even cooler to have Vash's sunglasses with my prescription so that I could use them as my regular glasses. Maybe even a blue tint too. |
