Animating the Weekend

Well, the snow didn't last, and I already went to my two classes for the day. Luckily, my second one didn't even meet for five minutes before letting out. Not much else to talk about. Saturday, I hung out with friends while we watched anime, ate chinese, and played games. And now, time for the weekend anime watching list:

-My friends and I watched the first ep of the Hellsing OVA, which is freaken amazing. It's so much better than the series, and it does the manga justice.

-We also saw Golden Boy, which is just, as as my friend said, "greatness on a stick," meaning really freaken great. It's a six-episode OVA about Kintaro Oe, a 25-year-old wanderer going after pretty girls and doing part-time jobs. It's funny. Kintaro Oe's English voice actor, Doug Smith, is going to be at MTAC this year, as well as the Golden Boy Extreme Elimination Khallenge (GEEK). It was there last year too, but this time, I actually know what Golden Boy is.

-I did laundry, which gave me time to watch the first dvd of Onegai Teacher, which is good. I have the whole series that I bought recently and am now in the process of finishing it.

-I also saw episode 5 of Mushishi. Mushishi is a fairly new series which I've been getting into lately. Not much action or romance or whatever. Just a good story.

That's all for this post. Have fun commenting.

Current Mood: Contemplative
Current Music: The Sore Feet Song - opening to Mushishi

Saturday Snow

SNOW IS COVERING THE FREAKEN GROUND AND STILL FALLING!!! HELL YES!!!

Friday is over. History class was boring. For my scholarship service hours, the person I work under was sick, so I stayed online for two hours. Then, I subbed at the Wood/Felder desk for an hour, playing Animal Crossing on my DS.

Well, around 3 or 4, I went to hang out with some friends, and we all decided to walk up to Rhino, by the closest Wal-Mart to campus, in order to buy Grandia III. It was a long walk, maybe about 30 min. We eventually made it and stayed there for quite some time. I actually bought Grandia III for one friend, but he's paying me back. The other one also got some NES games, which were cool. We got back to campus around 6:30, when we proceeded to eat at the Cyber Cafe. We got to one guy's room past 7 and started up the NES games while we played on the ps2 so we could play Grandia III. It was worth the long walk. Such a freaken good game, and I just watched the entire time.

I left around 2am. My friend was still playing Grandia III. He'll be staying the night there, playing the game. I wanted to sleep in my own bed, which I will soon after posting this.

Woke up to snow. No better way in my book.

That's my day. I'll talk to you all later. Have fun commenting.

New Blog and Anime

EDIT: 10am I got up and looked outside. Snow covering the ground. Freaken Hell Yes!!!

Thursday is over. My Experience of Lit class was great. My Anthropology class was easy. My Japanese class pwned me hard. That test I had in it was nuts. It took the entire class, which is an hour and a half long, and I didn't even finish. It was a giant pain. I'm glad it's over though.

I didn't eat at the usual place for dinner tonight. I ate at another cafeteria since they were having a special dinner of steak and shrimp, and it wasn't bad either. I then hung out with my friends and later returned to my room.

I got bored. When I get bored with internet access, I wander and do crap like opening up yet another blog account. Yeah, this time I opened a LiveJournal (http://niko86.livejournal.com/). Now, with here, my xanga, my myspace, my facebook, and now my livejournal, I officially have proof that I have too much time on my hands.

I also watched Bleach 68-69 (disappointing fillers) and Ah! My Goddess 25-26 (not disappointing at all). I'll watch more stuff later. I'll probably get to Please Teacher when I do my laundry this weekend. Then, in a few weeks, I'll get Angelic Layer in the mail. Yayness. That's all. Have fun commenting.

Great Night

What a night it's been. The day of Wednesday was pretty uneventful, though I did watch episode 4 of Mushishi, which was pretty cool.

Anime club was great. We watched Beck, Trinity Blood, Jigoku Shoujo, Ah My Goddess, 2x2=Shinobuden, Paradise Kiss, and Peach Girl. I also got Please Teacher for $35, the whole series, which should go well with the Angelic Layer series I bought from ADV for $30 and should get in a few weeks. Then, off to Cyber Cafe as usual. We were inside for the first two hours, but it was warm, so we moved outside and hung out. It was just a fun night to hang out with everyone. I left around 1, which is half an hour ago.

Tomorrow, or today if you look at the date, I have a test in Japanese that will probably kill me, but I shall study some, so I won't go down without a fight. I just hope there's no quiz in Anthropology again.

I guess that's all. I really should go to sleep. Have fun commenting.

My Weekend

Well, my weekend went fairly well. Saturday was the All Day Anime Day with the anime club. I got to see Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro and End of Evagelion, two movies I wanted to see. Also played some Super Smash Bros Melee, and I didn't do too bad, but I am in need of some practice.

After ADA, I hung out with friends at one friend's apartment. We watched some anime and AMVs and listened to music. I was getting kinda board once everyone started talking about singers and bands and so forth. Following music beyond whatever anime or movie it's in is not within my fandom. I left a little after 1 with two friends who gave me a ride.. I would have walked, and while it was cold, it wasn't quite that bad. I kinda wanted that cold air in my lungs. Still, everyone insisted that I ride there. I ended up losing my keys there, but my friend brought them back to me Sunday.

Speaking of Sunday, I didn't do much other than stay online and watch anime. I downloaded Trillian so I don't need multiple IM programs open at once, and so far, I like Trillian. I also got caught up in Mai Otome all the way through 15. I like it. I ate a late dinner at Cyber Cafe, where I ran into some people. I stayed from 9:30 to a little past 11, when I got kinda board and left to take a shower. Now that's done and I'm here posting. That's my weekend.

Tuesday is Valentine's Day. Any of you celebrating? I don't seem to be. The club has decided that we'll do things in the more traditional Japanese way with the girls giving guys chocolate on Valentine's Day and the guys giving the girls something a month later on White Day. I'm guessing this was originally set up because guys kept forgetting to get Valentine's Day presents, so the women decided that they would give the guys a month after they were reminded about Valentine's Day from the gifts from the women.

I know some girls in the club are giving a lot of guys chocolate, which is a nice gesture. Probably won't be a secret admirer for me. I'll get chocolate though, so that's good. Don't know what I'll do for the various girls in the club for White Day though. If people give me chocolate, I've got to do something in return, but hey, I've got a month.

Well, I guess that's all. Don't want to ramble much longer. Everyong have a good day and have fun commenting.

I Finished Something

ADV is running a Valentine's Day sale until Feb 19th. It's got some good deals.

I finished Shuffle today. Pretty good. A few crazy characters in this. I liked it. I just wish my friend was on campus and had his FTP server up so I could watch some more series. I also watched the latest Bleach. The episode was ok, I guess. Fillers. I like the new ending theme.

Saturday is an All Day Anime Day with my club. I'll be watching some good stuff, so yay. I should probably shower and get ready for sleep, but I want to watch more stuff, so I'll do that. Now, Mai Otome. Have fun commenting.

Friday! Yay!

If you haven't noticed, I put a link at the very top of my intro to the website of the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention. It's in April in Nashville, Tennessee. I'll be there. I'll even be volunteering in the dealers room, so yay.

I did all my Japanese work for Thursday and took my horrible Anthropology test. I also saw my friend beat FF7, which was cool, and saw the movie Jarhead. Now, Thursday is over and Friday is here.

Already had my first and last class of the day. 8am classes are a pain. I have some service work for my scholarship, but after that, I run into a problem. Do I nap, or do I finish Shuffle? I already have to finish Saikano and Beck, as well as watch the latest Bleach and so forth. Decisions, decisions.

Tomorrow is All Day Anime. We'll be watching some stuff I want to see, as well as playing games I want to play. It shall be fun. The whole weekend will be. Sunday, I plan to watch more downloads too. Yayness. That's all. Have fun commenting.

I Lost All Ten Fingers

Remember that long paragraph at the end of my last post where I ranted about not having a major and not knowing what to pick (still down there if you want to read)? Well, I got a letter from financial aid saying that for the aid to continue, a major must be declared by the time you have at least 60 hours or are classified as a Junior and that I am about to get 60 hours (which I knew already). Now, not only to I have to hear this from my family and that voice in the back of my head, but also from financial aid as well. This is annoying.

Last night, I said I would do homework and take a shower after posting, but I just went to sleep. I was so tired. I even skipped my first class so I could sleep in an hour. I still did a lot of my homework today, so not much more to go, but this time, I will do it before bed.

Anime Club was fun. It was members night, and the members picked a lot of good stuff, and one boring show, but I won't get into that. Hanging out at Cyber Cafe was fun too. We played the ten finger game. It's where you put up ten fingers, and you sit in a circle. Then, each person takes a turn saying something they haven't done, and if you have done it, you put a finger down. The last one with fingers up wins. I came in third out of about fifteen people, so I lost all my fingers, but I was one of the last to do so. It helps if you don't have much of a life and have never had a girlfriend like me, so yay for social awkwardness. I came back to finish my Japanese homework, but of course I came to my interweb first.

I can't wait until class is done for tomorrow. I'll probably end up working out again. The only things I like are the racketball, which I suck at, and walking around the track. As for the walking, I can do that outside, away from the rec center, which I prefer, and it would be much enjoyable if my iPod Shuffle would freaken work right. I really don't like going to the rec. I only go when friends are there, and I stick with them. The rec center is an uncomfortable environment to me which I don't like. I could stay in my room and finish Shuffle (the anime, not the iPod) so I could move on to another series, but I'd rather hang out with friends, so I guess it's back to the rec.

My posts seem longer than usual lately. Kinda odd. Well, I must do homework, so good night and have fun commenting.

I Want Sleep

I just got back from playing racketball. I knew I was tired, when when I sat down at the computer and my arms are kinda jittery. Not much, but it's there. It's going away though.

Tuesday was good. I love Experience of Lit. Always a good class. Finished Groundhog Day and then went over some poems. It's a good class. Japanese, I was tired in. Hard to stay awake in that class. I'm questioning if I want to continue Japanese after this semester. I just don't seem as excited about it. Maybe I just need more sleep. Anthropology was boring as usual, but I like having it with some friends. Even if we don't get to interact much during class, it's still nice being with friends.

Dinner was nice as usual. Afterwards, it was the anime club committee meeting. We went over the new constitution for the club. It seems well. Afterwards, I went to the rec center with some friends and played racketball. A friend hit a girl up on the track with the ball. It was funny. I suck at that game, but it was still fun. Left there and went to Cyber where I talked with more friends. I left early to come back here and do homework. After I finish posting and shower, I'll do that. It's a pain too with all the Japanese homework I have that's due Thursday, the day after anime club night. I hate that. So much work in so little time.

I need a major, and I need help picking one. I don't know what to get, but I need one by the end of the semester. Do you all know anything that I'm good at or would be good at for a career? Amazingly enough, I would like to work with anime and manga and comics and so forth. As for writing them, that sucks as a career, and I never finish anything I write, or even start for that matter. I carry two notebooks in my messenger bag for ideas for two different stories, but I don't write in them as much as I would like. I don't know. I suck at having a future career. I just don't want to end up doing something I don't care about, something that I would dread going to every day. That's my worst case scenario. Well, that or having no job at all.

That's all. Enough rambling. I have homework, and I want to shower. Good night and have fun commenting.
