Been a While Since a Rant
I get a four-day weekend starting tomorrow. Well, I have to do something at school on Monday, but it's not school work or anything. I'm glad.
My dad was back in the let's-get-me-a-job phase. I only turned in one job application and then bought some comics. Sure, some extra money would be handy, even though I just usually buy comics. Still, I hate the way he forced me to do it. I'm sick and tired of that. He said a couple of days ago that I don't live in the real world. About time he noticed. Who'd want to anyways? He saw me on this yesterday, and after I told him it was for anime, which I then had to ezplain was a cartoon (I didn't get to go into detail). He asked if I should get into things that eighteen-year-olds are in. I didn't get time to argue since he was leaving to go somewhere. There are plenty on eighteen-year-olds here. He thinks anime is like most other cartoons here in the US that are for kids. I hate that narrow-minded view. It's annoying.
My grandpa, who I call pappy for those new people reading this, is doing much better. I still needs to get some operation, but now he's up and around. That's much better. The scary thing is that he gave me his truck. That's a disturbing idea that he's already giving out stuff in his will. Then again, the doctors say that he shouldn't be driving again, so maybe it's a good thing. I don't really care for trucks though. Still, he wants me to drive him around, so I guess I'll have to get a licence. I hate driving, but what I hate more is that I really have no choice in the matter.
One week from today, I'll be eighteen. I'll me an adult. Scary. The next day, I hope to go to the movies and see both Kill Bill v2 and The Punisher back to back. That'll be cool. |
