Early Saturday
I was watching the Rurouni Kenshin OVA: Reflection. I was thinking about it and came to a conclusion. Kenshin is a jerk in it. He leaves Kaoru and even his son. He allows Kaoru to sleep with him wile knowing about his deadly disease. Now, Goku leaves to train Kid Buu at the end of DBZ. I understand this because Goku is not the brightest star in the sky. But Kenshin?! He's cool and cares for others and stuff. The Kenshin I know would not leave his family behind for so long and conciously give his wife a deadly disease. The Kenshin from the manga and the anime would not do that. I see himself leaving due to the disease so no one else would be infected, but not giving it to Kaoru. I get the message of how they love each other so much, but still. Kenshin has been trying to repent for his sins of murder, and he basically murders Kaoru. Plus, he left his son behind. I don't see Kenshin doing that. Oh well, that's my rant for the day, or at least the first one. Later.
