Hello
For those interested: http://time-for-a-banana.bebo.com

Well, I'm reading a book, sort of by George Orwell. It's a collection of his essays, journalism and letters. In his will, he said that he didn't want any biographies written about him, so this is the closest anyone could get. It's far more interesting, in it's way, because you're not seeing the man through the eyes of anyone else; you're reading the text that he himself wrote and interpreting that yourself.

I'm also reading The Count of Monte Cristo. Actually, I'm coming towards the end, which is actually a shame because I really liked the characters.

What not to wear was on last night, and I go to wondering: why are these people creating a uniform for the masses? Who has the right to say that you are unhappy and ugly in what essentially makes you your own person, in the most mobile, most attention grabbing form of self expression that we have? Who has the right to strip away that self identity and rebuild you, moulding you to their tastes? Whatever happened to BREAKING that mould, people?
