Angel Sanctuary

Angel Sanctuary is a manga series with three OVA’s. It revolves around a high school student named Setsuna Mudou. He's also the current incarnation of Alexiel, the organic angel. She leads a rebellion against God and loses. As her punishment she is cursed to be reincarnated in human form. And like all of Alexiel's human incarnations, Setsuna is destined to die a violet, painful death. Setsuna is also desperately in love with his own sister, Sara. He knows who he is but has problems of his own and is more concerned with Sara than his destiny. The story also revolves around other angels and demons, including Lucifer, Michael, and several others, though few are what you'd expect.
