Well, my vacation is most unfortunately over. I visited some friends in Wisconsin and Indiana. I had a blast (and no, I'm not necessarily talking about where we blew up the watermelon). Among other things I drove way too much and got a sunburn on my left arm so I look slightly out of balance. It's not my fault the sun only came in the drivers side window :( I also went to the Family Values tour in (well, near) Indianapolis. It was nice. Nice indeed. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt :D The bands that played were Neurosonic (didn't manage to wake me up, oh well), Trivium (Some of what they played was good, I started to finally wake up), Hellyeah(a lot of people seemed to like them, umm, not for me I guess? Wasn't bad though(on a side note, they seemed like a hick metal band. Hahaha)), Flyleaf (Very good stuff of course), Atreyuj (IMO what they need is some money to throw at a good sound tech. (same with flyleaf really), they sound too much better on the album then in concert :( ), Evanescence (they kick ass live. I know this now. They even got to play as the sun was setting which was interesting and annoying at the same time because the sun got in my eyes really bad), and last but not least Korn (I'm not really a Korn fan, but they put on a really good show, especially seeing as it was after dark, and they even played a handful of songs that I really like, among them, Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall").

In other news my laptop is exceeding expectations. It's kind of sad that a mobile processor can outdo the one in my desktop .... :( Other areas seem to bog it down though. The drives are obviously rather slow for example. But what can one expect from a laptop? On a side note the battery life was/is great. Hours and hours so long as I keep the brightness down and such. I can probably get up to 6 hours of battery life on it ... seems if I put it on suspend it will live for about 18-24 hours if it was off a nearly full charge, so that's not too bad either.

Kill Bill part 1. I just watched it. I give it an oh say, 12 out of 10. Enough said.

I don't really have the motivation to do much lately. I don't know why. I just feel lazy lately. Maybe I should blame the video games that I've been playing practically non-stop :D

Lets see here, what's on the agenda. Ah yes, that. It looks like I'm going on vacation on Monday! First time I'll have gotten out and done something in a while. How liberating. Planned stops are once again Indiana and Wisconsin, visiting friends and such. Also going to go to a concert in indianapolis on the 10th which I hope will be nice, seeing as I've never been to one before (I really don't get out enough.)

Well, what can I say, it's life as usual. Well, what does life as usual consist of, how about a list today?

Today more or less fell into the second list, a work day. Got out early today, which is kind of nice, though. Oh, lets see, I'm sure none of you know what I really do to any level of certainty or detail, but I finished at 130% production today (yes, this is good), which means I'll be seeing some extra money on my paycheck :)

Umm, lets see, what'd I do for the rest of the week. Oh, I watched Rurouni Kenshin (the first season), didn't take me long to do that at all. Umm, played some Armored Core 2 (great game). I got Red Alert working in WINE, so, yeah, I spent a fair bit of time playing it too. I'm also working on some code again, good times. Let see, what else ... oh, my job hunt is resuming this time in full force. I don't mind my current job nearly as much as I should, but oh well, when I see my next job I'm sure I'll like it more than Wal-Mart's bullshit. Perhaps I've grown insensitive to their bullshit. The thought of this scares me.

I don't know what to say. I'm just bored right now. Been playing Armored Core 2 lately, getting pretty good at it I must say. Laid out the plans for my second shelf in detail about an hour ago. Added a few new animes to my collection (Excel Saga, FLCL, Rurouni Kenshin Box 1, GITS: SAC) and got a few new CDs(Tristania - Beyond The Veil, World of Glass, Sirenia - An Elixir for Existence). Oh, I'm working full time now too. I didn't really do anything at all last week. I was sick, so I really didn't want to do anything at all. I'm not sure I'm over it yet now either. At least the sore throats gone. Congestion too for the most part, nose still running and I'm kinda fatigued though. Of course, that could be lack of sleep and my cat shedding really bad, all over me, helping that too. Who knows? Then again, there's also the fact that I'm now working in a refrigerator at work (constantly about 34 degrees). Aside from this I've been watching Tenchi Muyo and experimenting with some things Operating System wise. Oh well, you guys have a good one. I'm going to end this post now because I can't think of anything to say.

Well, not a whole lot going on. I've been watching quite a bit of anime now that I've got my one monitor freed up. Doesn't hurt that I've got the new, bigger, tv either. I've been watching FMP, NGE, and Gunslinger Girl mostly. All well worth the watch.

I've been mostly busy with my computer. I just dumped the majority of my current setup (less my ever so precious files that I could not ever part with). I set up Debian 4.0 (etch) with a rather wild partitioning setup. More interesting than usual anyway. Looks something like this: (I'll try to make it XML-ish, should be easy enough to swallow that way, I hope)(see the bottom of the post for it ... )

Well, it has been a while since I posted last. I've been busy with things. Lots of code to write, lots of work to do.

I blew a lot of money again, bad me, very bad. A new TV, flat screen 24" (Sanyo). A new monitor, wide screen 22" (Viewsonic). Works very well with Xinerama(take a look) :P Got a few movies while I was at it too: Event Horizon, Tremors 1-4 (not bad for <$15), The Truman Show, Shawn of the Dead, Sin City. I also got the first season of Dragonball Z(not bad for $30, in fact, that's a very, very competitive price). This is the times when my wal-mart discount card comes in handy ... got everything but the monitor from there.

I've also been working on some other things. I'm redoing the plast around my door. I'm also mounting my speakers on my walls, which just to my misfortune means drilling through plaster walls.

Okay, I've been playing with things (and I'm not quite done yet), but that stripe along each of my posts is seriously starting to tick me off :\ First person to point out what it is wins an [invisible] prize. I'm giving up on it for now. GAH.

Okay, that was an quite the frustrating excursion. I've got it fixed. Blah. Looks like I have to do a bug report on Krita in the morning. Bah. As for now. I. Must. Sleep.

Well, pretty uneventul day, bought some more wood for the second shelf, along with a blue waterbased stain to go with, I wonder how that will turn out ... Guess I should get paint and a replacement door while I'm at it though.

Funny fact: In the state of Virginia, there is a town called Bumpass. As if the name alone isn't enough to laugh at, why not go see Pottiesville Rd while you're there?

In other news ..... wait, what other news. Oh wait, yeah, My Scrapped Princess arrived ... got a deal on it too. Good 'ol Pre-order price-guarantee working in my favor. Gotta love Amazon.com for that.

Oh, yeah, I got a phone call yesterday. Turns out I got the transfer at work that I wanted. It's the same job, but in a different area of the building. Freezer/Dairy/Deli instead of Dry Nonperishable. What this means for me is somewhat easier work, in an air conditioned (well, refrigerated really) environment, that won't get death hot (100F+ at 100% humidity) in the summer. Hurray. I haven't signed the paperwork for it yet though. One major downside is that I'll be working three days a week instead of two though. (12 hour shift, $18.1/hr. Do the math.) Another downside though, is that, if the management there sucked ass any harder, they'd be swallowing teeth. God damned sugar-coated bullshit.
