Branded - Silent Soul
I've been juggling projects again today. I spent much of the day working on the quizzes section and have targetted the specific problem in my script, It's exactly what I thought, the major problems I had before were mostly typos, but I finally do know which direction is up, for sure. This isn't really enough to make a post, and it seems, John is finally giving me the go-ahead. We've been jointly working on a story and he's finally saying we've got enough to start posting it places, likely places will be here, gaia, afotw, acap, and anyone else I can get to read it. He's been doing almost all of the writing. I've done almost all of the editing, anything related to spreading it seems to largely be resting on me as well. I've been rushing to get up a section for it on my site fore hte past couple hours, and I must say it's a rush job, the only thing you can really do with it at the moment is view the first episode. It's in the Acrobat .pdf format, which shouldn't really pose any problems, I hope. At any rate, I'm HIGHLY interested in hearing opinions on it, seeing as I probably put a good 12 hours or more into editing the first 8 episodes, and there will be more to come. Currently we've only got the first one put up, slow release fashion seems like a good idea. I have also put a link in my introduction, replacing my get firefox icon.....for anyone interested in that would have clicked it by now. Now, I will leave you with a link to it and hope people actually read it and say something about it. Farewell for tonight.

Insomnia
I've been pretty lazy the past couple of days. Sleep is a thing of the past as I'm statying up all night most nights now, maybe a couple hours of sleep in there. I have a lack-of-sleep headache right now which I'm going to remedy the proper way within an hour. I've done this and that here and there but that's about the extent of things. Yesterday night went pretty smoothly. I stayed up all night trying to get something working to do with javascript and communication between windows, so far no luck so I'm going to look around tonight. I've got the section partially finished but that's not a stopper. If you want to see the progress on the search feature you can look at this which I should have uploaded by the time you read this unless you get here really fast. I spent probably around an hour and a half figuring out how I was going to make it work so it'd do a lot of the work for me and I finally got it ^_^ Take a look at the formulas if you want to see what I mean. Besides that I can't really say I did anytyhing except watch Point Break, Escape from New York, and Terminator. OH, and I got a package in the mail, i've got all of fushigi yuugi(the series, not ovas), and all of the flame of recca manga now, w007! I'll talk to anyone who's around later. Buh bye, come to think of it I'll probably do that stuff for my C class before tomorrow.

Please read the first short section before the line

Please read the first short section before line.
Edit: Seeing as everyone thinks this post is too long to read, I'll sum up the main points.
- I successfully tested out of computer apps. The test was Evil. Now I will only be going to school two days a week for the next four weeks.
- I have been working on thre graveyard and despite setback causing headaches have made major progress. Please chck it for content for me, link is in my intro.
- I've taken my ps2 back and it's now within reach of my chair, which is cool.
Now unless you are feeling adventurous, or just want more info on a specific point, you can skip down to the Random fact sectiion of the post and continue, have a nice day.
I'm sorry I haven't been around lately. I've been pretty busy and even when I'm not I just keep forgetting to come around in the afternoons, after which I just begin work on the site again. I have news other than the site that pertains mostly to me as well. On Wednesday night I took a horrendously long 3\/1|_ test. It was awful, made me want to puke, and it took around 2-3 hours!! 3\/1|_ I say!! Some of the answers weren' even right. I'm positive on that too! It was incredibly nitpicky, asked mostly who cares type questions...but having wrong answers? 3\/1|_!! I passed with an 83%, barely high enough to pass but I passed so blah(needed an 80%). I got a call about it earlier today and it look like I'll have no tues-thurs class for the rest of the term. W007 for more time at home!!
The website is the only other real topic I have to talk about. I've been working on it like crazy. I've been making the zillions of images it needs for one, dresigning the pages, adding/redoing content, redoing it because Microsoft Internet Explorer is the Devil(or wait, the devil is cooler than MSIE). I have most of the title images done for it. I have the revamped biography section up and I'm pleased with the results. I still have the i-frame partial transparency on it done, but am yet to here anything about a gradient transparency border. I still have some minor changes to make but the biography section should be just about good to go. The next section I intend to work on is the quiz section. I have much of the work done with it already but like the other pages it needs work too. The search feature probably won't be implemented until a bit later, when most of the rest of the site is done. It'd be interesting if someone actually looked through the content of the site though, any volunteers? feel free. I've also finally considered this done enough to strip the preview, upload it to the base folder and change all my links to point to this one. If interested there should be a link on my sidebar, in my introduction, and one in my aim profile as well.
I of course haven't done this 24/7(though all nighters and the like haven't been at all uncommon regarding the site). One of the other main things I'm doing is keeping up with a forum, theACAP, as best I can, I even found another insomniac on there, makes for some pretty nice conversations, quite the cool person I must say. I have also stolen back my ps2 from my brother and returned to him the gamecube. This time around I played it smart and have the ps2 on my desk where i can easily reach the power, disc, reset, and memory cards. It is kickass I tell you! I haven't really done much else to my knowledge.

Please check out yesterdays post if you didn't get to it, it actually says something unlike this one. I didn't get much at all done with the site today. I've been trying to figure out how to do the transparency thing. You can see the problem by looking at the corners of the frames transparency at the bottom of my page. I'm probably going to chcange the frame slightly, give it rounded corners. I'm trying to figure out how to do the transparency still as I said. I doubt any of you know but if you do please stand forward and tell me. I'll greatly appreciate it. I'm going to try posting in gaia, maybe someone there will know...I hope. I'm started into the reading of my Perl/CGI book, so I'll be able to do some stuff with that soon as I get through it. I was downloading something tonight so I couldn't get around.... damn photoshop is huge... >.> today was fucking boring though I managed to keep entertained later on.... incredible <.< I'll get around tomorrow I hope, see you later.

MAJOR EDIT:
07 Sep 2004 - Hurricane Frances report
As many of you are probably already aware, hurricane Frances completed its two-day assault on Florida, where our servers are located. There were partial connectivity problems with some of the servers due to wires being ripped off and power supply cables destroyed. Our staff did their best and resolved the situation in no time along with our colleagues in Tampa's data center. Read more
It's back, it's back!! All the problems have ended, The Graveyard: Preview, the zip file is no longer needed, but the image above this little update is still very pertinent.... Also Note, TK is back! Co-Evil has been updated |

Progress
I've been working on the site quite a bit since yesterday and more progress has been made. I have little else to say other than I'm sorry I didn't get to around today, dad cut the connection early and a friend posted this for me. A full preview of it is now available. I have no life.

The Graveyard
I've finally started work on it. Up until today I've been renaming massive amounts of files on my hard drive, I got through a few thousand yesterday before I finally got bored and quit. As of today work on The Graveyard is underway. It will be hosted on the same place as coevil, but is not there yet. I have the opening page almost the way I want it and have a screenshot available for viewing. CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK APPRECIATED. This is quite literally just about all I have done all day ^^; I'll probably get around to people's sites tomorrow, I think, maybe even the new guestbook entries too.
Changes in the main page from version 1 are as follows: i-frame resized and moved, i-frame border removed, background picture changed to the one i rendered the other day, i-frame background changed from 100% opacity to 80% opacity, Banner image changed and moved. Other progress includes work started on the quiz section: plans include a full index of the contents, and later, a search feature. That's all the changes I can think of to date. I'll post again later.

Web Dev
Today was quite the lazy day. I slept a lot, and that's most of what I did. I am also going to say that I might not be as active on myO for a while. Work has begun on project M.E.W.(Make Essential Websites) The project involves the finishing of the Co-Evil Pages, The Graveyard: Version 2, and a small series of how-tos. They may take a while, and there is a reason behind it making me cut back a little on time with everything else. I am a highly OBSESSIVE person. Multitasking and me don't mix well. When I start on a project I become very obsessive, doing whatever it takes to finish it, I even cut back on resting, sleeping, eating, and especially on communicating. This project will keep me busy for a good while, sorry if it causes anyone any undue distress. I'll add the proposed background to The Graveyard Version 2 and put it at the bottom of this post as well. Have a good night.

still dead but otherwise no complaints
Today all in all went pretty well I suppose. After I finished the test and was on the way out I was told assignment-wise I'm running around a 100%, and dr. singer said she'd email me the term-paper grade since I asked about it. After that I went down to the fish bowel and messed around on the net, caught up on afotw and otakusingles(forums). After Gary got done with his exam for his DOS class we left. When I got home I was on the internet and listening to music and lazing around. Typical me stuff. My dad unplugged my internet soon after so he could use it and I was already tired, getting bored, and I figured what the hell and took a nap. I woke up at around 9 something and went downstairs. My mom and I sat down there watching movies. First on the agenda was '13 Ghosts'. It was a good movie. I might even watch it again if given the choice. The second was blast from the past, we only caught the second half, funny movie. Somewhere near the movies end it hit. My stomach had been pretty calm all day, the first time in about 4-5 days. Now the gas problems are gone and a new one has arose, diahrea again. Yay -_-;; I did ask about going to see a doctor about my stomach problems which have been all over the wall during the past few months, but we don't have the money for it, doctor's are fucking leeches I say!! In the end I didn't get around to everybodies sites yet again, I might do that just now though I'll actually have to look at the dates for the first time in months. I'll probably also clean up in here and do the laundry. After that I'll work on reorganizing my computer and preparing for the big one I've been working on for a while...... I need a few cds and a new hard drive to pull it off though. I'll be reformatting and then not only reinstalling this operating system but Suse Linux as well. I'll probably need a job before this happens though. That's all for today, good hunting.
Gamer's update
It seems to me that the release of the Playstation 3 is right under our noses. This account will be partly speculation, partly rumor(but very massive and credible ones at that), and partly released facts. It will almost certainly be a major processor upgrade and will fully support progressive scanning mode for wide-screen tvs. I'm positive they'll fix the disc read error problem, and I think I know how they did it as well, you'll see what I mean below. There are numerous designs but I have no idea what they're going to pick just yet. It is said that the PS3 will utilize the new BluRay discs. BluRay is a massive project involving many companies including Sony, Panasonic, Philips, Dell, and Hewlett Packard among others. The discs are going to be easily reproduced and use a new optical system. The optical system uses a b luray(duh), and they have made it incorporate the ability to use the older infrarred ray used in cds and dvds as well without any extra components, easing and cheapening mass production. The discs are said to be cheap and easily manufacturable, price is not yet known and would not be reliable anyway because they aren't in full scale mass production. The discs are currently at 25gb, more than 5 times that of a dvd. Sony is currently working on a double layered version that will hold you guessed it, 50gb. (roughly 11 times as much as a dvd) What does this mean for us gamers? It means you might never see a multi-disc game again, even with the dvds there have been multi-disc games. With this overhaul of the optical system I'm sure they have fixed the disc read error problem as well. The Playstation 3 is going to be shown off at this years E3. Sony will be for the first time the only system being shown off, in the past there has always been direct competition, like when the ps2 and dreamcast were released, or the snes and the genesis, atari and koleko, etc. It will be interesting to see how that plays out. The playstation 3 is set for sale in Japan in December 2005, and here in the states in March 2006. This concludes our gamers update. |

busy
Sorry I didn't make my rounds today. I was a bit busy. I've been messing with compression quite a lot..... managed to get this down to about 520kb including the wma file, 150 without. My photobucket account is working again and such. Damn i'm hungry and damn is it late, i'd best go get something to eat and goto bed. My non-going aroundness was related to the joke of a class that just finished today, and I have an exam to study for for tomorrow....whether I did or not is another story though...also watched Independence Day... Bye
Edit: This is getting very annoying, as of the past couple days photobucket and everywebhost have really been getting on my nerves. I've been bouncing back and forth between servers due to lack of reliability in both. It's a real pity especially because photobucket was so reliable up until just recently, might say more later. See you later, test starts in two minutes Edit: (10:50) It looks like everything went well and this class is next to done. I'm pretty sure I did well even though all I did was look over my notes for about ten minutes before starting.....then again I never do more than that anyway. I've found out what's up with photobucket. They're doing some very heavy maintenance and it's supposedly almost done. That's why it's been on and off for the past few days. I just happened to be one of the lucky 5% that were affected by this.

Easy Day
Today was a nice easy day. I went to school and turned in my 5 page long term paper, cover picture and source page included of course. What we did in there was a bit of review and then we took a practice test for thursday's final exam. Tomorrow should be fairly easy as well but it's impossible to tell. My new permanent(at least for a few months) background will be the Omega Nebula. I don't know what else to write really, I'll see you later. Survey(stolen from Fae Tsukiakira)
