Edit: And here I am, sitting in the hospital waiting room.... fairly bored but that is besides the point. It seems he isn't doing any better so I guess I'll just play around on the waiting room's computer for the time being. I'll say more later then.

I've got a little situation here in the real world. I may have had a good little time the last couple days... Playing cards, slacking off, and then I even graduated this morning which went better than I had hoped. Afterwards I had eaten a big lunch when we ate out. These things were all nice but something has been brewing for the past few days, and to be frank, the situation is not good, in fact very bad. Here's the scoop:

It's looking like my summer plans will be set back a bit, ..... but that's not the bad thing. The bad thing is the cause of it. My granddad, hereafter known as doc(he is/was a vet, so everyone calls him that), had to go in for surgery on his liver last year...liver cancer. He was sick for many months up to now, jaundice of all things, to be exact, so he's been pretty miserable. He just went back in for a follow-up surgery earlier this week to remove the scar tissue from the surgery that was causing more nasty problems. After the surgery his kidneys 'shut down'. They would normally try to use dialysis to get them back on track... however, his heart can't take it. Around 15-20 years ago he had a heart attack and one of the valves, afterwards, was deemed unrepairable. They're going to try to use it for just as long to start the kidneys. If they don't get the kidneys working again, his liver will shut down, and well, everyone knows what happens to people without functioning livers. It looks like I may end up attending a funeral sometime in the near future.....

Well, that's pretty much how it is for now.... I'll be off to visit a very specific relative.... tah tah for now
