Heaven's Not Enough
No, really. If Heaven isn't Taipei, Taiwan, it's not good enough. I'm...so insanely happy here at the end of all things that it's mind boggling. I love it. The food is great, the people are super friendly, and I get to wear a school uniform. *smirks* Jealous now, aren't you? No, I'm not talking about the stupid uniform...

I'm in TAIWAN! That's about three hours flight from Japan, which means I'm sitting here watching things like Tsubasa, and previews for the DeathNote movie on television -- legally! Lol. Sure, the subs are in Chinese so I can't understand them, but I know enough Japanese to get by. Also, my host family speaks more Japanese than they do English, so I'm fairly certain I'll be learning some while I'm here.

(Hah! You see, all ye doubters? I may come back tri-lingual yet!)

Hey, give me a break. It's nearly midnight here, I think I'm entitled to some slap-happiness.

I went to the mall a week or so ago, and saw six feet tall Gundums... I died. No, really. It was just so...surreal. That was my first day here, too, so it made the Gundums extra special. Lol.

Lol. Right. I'm drinking coffee right now, and um... Well, it's the last day of school, and I'm going to spend as much of it watching anime as I can. Found a great new website. Also, I'm going to be scaring my teachers. I'm the "Good student" type, but today I'm all goth. Well, no, actually, I 'm more emo, but whatever. Natural tendancies and all that...

[Adult Swim] must die.
I shant ever forgive them! Not ever! It's blasphemy, plain and simple. Adding such...horrid sounds to Fullmetal Alchemist. I realize it's a re-run, but still...! That is not an April Fool's prank. Putting origel in someone's toothpaste is a prank. (Yes, I did that. I love practical jokes...!) They are... EVIL. Just... Evil.

In other news, I'm sorry not to have updated in so long. I've been busy with my school play (I'm singing several solo bits in it, and I've got lines to memorize), and it's been keeping me at school till six every night. It's worth it though.

(Yes, I'm stalling.)

Now, let me see... What was it I mention last time...? SOmething about...something. Was it me traveling to a foreign country? Was that what it was...?

Lol. Sorry. I'm going to Taiwan! Did you know in Taiwan most of their anime is subtitled in Chinese, but left (vocally) in Japanese? Yeah, I was excited. No one in my area (District 6290) is going to Japan, though... It made me sad. Another girl from my school's going to Taiwan, too. We'll be able to come back and speak Mandarin Chinese to each other! It's fun.

I haven't hardly slept at all this week. Five hours in three days. Five very broken hours. Yes, yes, I'm aware it's not healthy, I've been told. I don't care. Not my fault I'm an insomniac...

Anyway, everyone wish me luck please! Japan was my number one choice, but there's no guarantee that's where I'll be going. I'll post sometime next week with my country result.

Yes. Next week. I'll be in Canada until Sunday, most likely without access to a computer.

L'arc-en-Ciel

I'm currently -- as in right this very moment -- listening to L'arc-en-Ciel's "Lost Heaven" which is also the end theme to the Hagaren (Fullmetal Alchemist) movie!!! Which, I also have in my possesion, though not...really. It's complicated. I can honestly say I've heard every word of the movie, but I haven't seen any of the animation. Damn. So...No subtitles. A problem that will be fixed, I assure you.

Amazingly, I was actually able to follow the dialogue... I knew just what was happening (though I didn't understand entire sentences -- for the most part -- I know enough Japanese that I got the general idea) and therefore could see everything in my mind's eye. Lol. I was so desperate I listened to a corrupted file. No pictures, just sound. *cries* It was TORTURE!

Aru!!!
Yeah, so we had a snow day on Wednesday, and I decided to make good use of it. I swear, it was like the ultimate Otaku's Day Off.

I. Built. Alphonse.

No, seriously. I took cardboard boxes, sheets of cardboard, duct tape, and a pencil and scissors and started building. I felt like Ed in episode 16, Home of the Waiting Family, when he transmutes Al back together!

It's not finished yet, I've only got the torso done, but that much looks promising. Oh, and the arms. Arms but no hands. I fit inside it, and my little sister fits inside it. Mind you, we're nearly the same size... God, I hate being so short! Not even 5'1"...! Yes, it sucks. Yes I hate it. No, you may not tease me. No, I'm not going to grow anymore. Yes, that's depressing. But I do have good news! There's a mug of coffee at my elbow.

Oh! Back to Aru-kun. My sister and I are building him for cosplaying reasons. We went to this con last year, and we're going again in June, and we can't just...go...to a con. We have to cosplay. So, I'm going as Ed, she's going as Al, and our friends are going as the other main characters. It is going to be the coolest. (Everyone Google JAFAX!!) Last year, there was a nearly complete FMA cast, and I got a picture. It made me happy.

I got the FMA Art Book for Christmas... That was fun. Alchemilla-chan (my sis) got an Alphonse pillow.

Oh yes. The world is SO mine.
Alright, people. I -- am wonderful. It was costume day at my highschool, and...Well. I dressed as Edward. Automail and all. I'm still dressed as him, actually. Typing with automail has its drawbacks... :::Eye twitches:::

Anyway, yes, I rule the world. I am furher! President of the military! I WIN!!!

:::Sparkles::: Don't you all just think this is the coolest thing!? I made the entire costume myself, and I was completely channeling Edward today. Tripping at odd moments, etc... Also, I carried around a notebook full of Alchemy info. Made by yours truly.

Ah, yes...cosplaying DOES rock. Maybe, just for the hell of it, I'll dress as Kiba one of these days... I've got his costume perfect too...

Not that my Ed costume was perfect... I've got auburn hair, and...well, Ed doesn't. I HAVE ordered my wig though. Should be here the 15th. I'm excited.

Parallels...
Lol. I was reading some fan fiction just now, and it was an FMA, HP crossover. Now, as a rule I don’t really like crossovers. But this person said they got the idea from reading the sixth Harry Potter, and it reminded me that when I was reading it I kept thinking “Edward” instead of Harry, and there were so many parallels that it was almost scary…! *sparkles* It was fun though… Almost as if Fullmetal Alchemist actually was a novel…!

There are rumors that it is going to be though… I remain ever hopeful.
