Alone
This is a poem I did in eighth grade and was published in my school's magazine called The Zine. Here is my Poem:
ALONE
As I wait for you,
Sitting here alone,
I wonder if you’ll remember,
The things we used to do.
We laughed and played all day,
But one day you never came.
You left me sitting here alone,
Waiting for that one day you will come home.
Everyday I would cry,
Always wishing I could die,
Because I didn’t see you smile,
On a bright sunny day,
you were the one who would brighten up my cloudy day.
So why did you have to go today?
Left me alone sitting here,
Wondering, and wondering away.
You left without a goodbye,
A goodbye to our happiness,
A goodbye to our love for each other.
So years have gone by,
Without seeing your face or your smile,
Wishing and hoping I could take care of you like I used to do.
Helping you succeed in the hardships in life,
To be there for you,
Forever and ever.
Never wanting to let go of you,
I think about you everyday,
Wishing and hoping you would come to stay,
Stay here and I’ll be there for you always.
But… I’m scared,
Scared that you will never come,
That I’ll never see you again.
You’ll leave me sitting here,
Alone…
I hope you will always remember your loving sister,
And know she is always thinking of you,
So don’t leave her sitting here alone,
Crying,
Wishing to see your face,
And remember all those memories you both shared.
Making her day happy and bright.
So don’t leave her,
Please don’t…
But no matter what,
She will be waiting forever,
Wanting you to bring her out of her dark and lonely room,
And smile to make her life beautiful and bright again.
