And so the time has come...
We shall be purchasing a scanner soon (About time!), meaning you'll be seeing my drawings for the first time ever! Cover your eyes, children, it ain't pretty. Well, actually, I suppose that I am pretty good, especially for my age. I have embarked on a new journey, and have switched around ideas in my manga series that I draw to make it so that several of my stories are linked together and that they are all under one franchise name. Think of a .hack-esque idea, only without the anime and video game products. YET.
Actually, it's going to be one of those scanner/copier/printer/fax machine/vegetable slicer things that are common nowadays, and I hope to also purchase Paint Shop Pro 8 so I can touch up some of my work so that is presentable in front of the OtakuBoards members.
Oh, and of course, I'll also be submitting them to the Fan Art section of TheOtaku.com.
I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait--! *jumps up and down*
Go away. I don't want you all to see me in this giddy state. *hides behind a curtain and jumps some more*

More on art class! And other stuff.
I had a sore throat on Monday and Tuesday, thus leading to a ton of makeup work when I came back. On Wednesday night I choked my pen and yelled at my math book from all the work I had to do. That came to pass soon enough, and I found the simple joy of Art Class to be back. As usual, I got the "WHOA, WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO DRAW?!" and "I could draw that if I had a ruler" comments, and I passed the week's art history quiz with ease. Not to brag, of course.
The teacher told us all that next week we are doing cartoons (woo-hoo) and we can make a short cartoon at home if we have the time. I can't wait 'cause then I won't be told not to draw in anime style and do some realism for a change. He'll probably tell me to try out the style of Archie and Wendy Witch or something, though.. Ugh.
Oh, and also, I bought Johnny the Homicidal Maniac #1 last weekend. It is as hilarious as I expected, and even more violent than I anticipated. My favorite section is probably Wobbly Headed Bob, the furry animal with the large head that is cursed with a vast knowledge of reality and systematically ruins all the oblivious furry animals' lives. It's all so strange and hilarious. I thought Johnny The Homicidal Maniac was nothing but senseless violence, but it has many deep, philosophical tones to it. Johnny the Suicidal Maniac was a good section, very deep and at the same time funny. I convinced my friend to like it, and he's now gone obsessive compulsive over it all. I saw the T-shirt first! I deserve it!
Meh, well later, kiddies.

Heh, sorry about the Agent Smith thing.. I needed to figure it out and as of the moment MyOtaku won't let me modify posts.
Well, here's some more results..
You're Rei Ayanami! Rei Ayanami is the first child, meaning that she was the first one chosen to pilot an Evangelion (Unit 00). With her piercing silence and lifeless gaze, Rei is an enigmatic stoic who obeys the most life- threatening orders without hesitation. Indeed, she is often likened to a "wind-up doll." Rei often struggles to find meaning in her existence. She wonders who or what she is. She's a very deep, complicated character. You need to find some happiness and purpose in your life!
?? Which Neon Genesis Evangelion Character Are You ?? brought to you by Quizilla
*rolls eyes* I always get Rei.
You're Naota. You don't like sour and spicy foods and somethimes a horn grows
our of your head! Your maid is actualy a crazy alien and there is a walking TV
living with you!
Which Crazy FLCL Character Are You?
THAT one was a REALLY well written quiz.. *sigh*
You are Sailor Mercury!
Which Anime Character are you most like? brought to you by Quizilla
O_O Uh... Yeah. That one doesn't need a comment.
And now, sure enough, Quizilla's server went down. That site needs some more bandwidth..
I'll post more later, I suppose.

I have discovered the magic of posting my quiz results for no particular reason..
You are Agent Smith, from "The Matrix." No one would ever want to run into you in a dark alley. Cold as steel, tough as a rock, things are your way or the highway.

*dances around happily and sing a tune*
My brother's away until Friday!
My brother's away until Friday!
My brother's away until Friday
And I couldn't be happier.
^_^ He is in fifth grade, and in our school district you get to go to Outdoor Science School during the year. It's really quite fun, you drive on a bus to Wrightwood (A mountainous foresty area not far away from where I live) and pretty much be at an educational camp/getaway for 5 days...
Which is good for him. His teacher is really pushing them with tons of work and perpetual pop quizzes, and kids who were acing everything the last 3 years have been getting F's. My little bro, however, has been getting straight C's- Great in comparison to his peers, but he always compares himself to me, whom always gets A's.. So his self-esteem, or remnants of one, has been crushed so quickly it's sad..
Now he's gone and he won't annoy me until Friday! I took a quiet, peaceful nap today with no interruptions.. That was good..
And yet..
Things are quiet.
TOO quiet.

Art class..
This is, most likely, my favorite period this year.
I, being new to Junior High, have never really switched classes before for different periods. This is my elective (They call it "Exploratory" here.. Why they do, I shall never know.) and I am having a great time with it.
My teacher, Mr. Chisholm, has a weird, raspy voice but is really nice. He is the only teacher this year thus far that has respected my superior intellect far beyond that of my peers, and has aknowledged it. (Ego meter rising.. She can't take much more, captain!) But seriously, I'm really enjoying it.
The first thing we did in this class was an "Illuminated manuscript"-- Like how the Dark Age Europeans made vibrant decorative pages in the bible with individual decorations on them. This is my best project thus far, I believe, and my teacher has kept it as an example.
The next week we just did some pattern thing-- Abstract is not my favorite genre of art.
Now we're experimenting with value-- Dealing with gray in pictures. We are using "hash-markings", the overlapping of lines to give a gray effect. ^_^ The more daring students, such as myself, made a skull on a book on a table lit by candle-light. It was quite easy for me; I'm already done with it..
Bye-yah.

A new obsession
Oh, it all started at the anime con in Anaheim simply enough. I watched an anime preview at the Bandai booth and got a shirt. The shirt had an upcoming anime on it: Witch Hunter Robin.
This series looks totally awesome, and I've been doing some research on it. Apparently the guy who designed the characters in Cowboy Bebop did this as well.
Welp, the special edition boxset comes out on October 6th, and I can't wait. It comes with:
-The DVD
-The box (With limited edition styrofoam. ~_^)
-The soundtrack
-An animation cell
-Another shirt (not the same one)
-A shot glass with the logo
Not bad for 50 bucks, eh?
Well I probably won't be getting it for a while, though. I may have to wait until Christmas. End of Evangelion comes first, and though I have the cash right now, I won't get it until my younger brother goes away. I don't want him to see the stuff in EoE...
'Till next time, friends.

*sigh*..
Well, it seems my semi-g/f does not seem to have strong feelings for me anymore.. So now I'm depressed and sitting here thinking...
I'd tell you why she brought these things up, but alas, it's very private and probably wouldn't be allowed here on MyOtaku.. (And no it's not THAT)
And I still haven't finished Evangelion off yet.. Between school and all the stuff going on with me, I haven't had the time.
Ooh, we saw Weird Al Yankovic live last night.. He is awesome in person. If you like his music, you MUST buy the tickets next time he's in your area. Trust me, it's worth it.
