More on art class! And other stuff.
I had a sore throat on Monday and Tuesday, thus leading to a ton of makeup work when I came back. On Wednesday night I choked my pen and yelled at my math book from all the work I had to do. That came to pass soon enough, and I found the simple joy of Art Class to be back. As usual, I got the "WHOA, WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO DRAW?!" and "I could draw that if I had a ruler" comments, and I passed the week's art history quiz with ease. Not to brag, of course.
The teacher told us all that next week we are doing cartoons (woo-hoo) and we can make a short cartoon at home if we have the time. I can't wait 'cause then I won't be told not to draw in anime style and do some realism for a change. He'll probably tell me to try out the style of Archie and Wendy Witch or something, though.. Ugh.
Oh, and also, I bought Johnny the Homicidal Maniac #1 last weekend. It is as hilarious as I expected, and even more violent than I anticipated. My favorite section is probably Wobbly Headed Bob, the furry animal with the large head that is cursed with a vast knowledge of reality and systematically ruins all the oblivious furry animals' lives. It's all so strange and hilarious. I thought Johnny The Homicidal Maniac was nothing but senseless violence, but it has many deep, philosophical tones to it. Johnny the Suicidal Maniac was a good section, very deep and at the same time funny. I convinced my friend to like it, and he's now gone obsessive compulsive over it all. I saw the T-shirt first! I deserve it!
Meh, well later, kiddies.
