Is manslaughter really all that bad?

Comment Commentary

Shin- Oh, now that you mention it, it's all coming back. ..Oh well. I still don't care.

Syk- It's funny because he's a druggie! :D

Syk- It's amazing how the mind can be so foolish at six in the morning..

Alea- 95% of rap I dislike.. There's occasionally a song that I may enjoy, but I despise the whole "gangsta image."

Mimmi- Horribly, actually. I haven't done anything about it in forever.

A year or two back when I heard they were planning a movie based on A Series of Unfortunate Events, my initial reaction was excitement. I have been a fan of the books for a while (Guilty pleasure), but when I came across the thirty-second trailer a few months ago I was horrified. Not to get into fanboy mode or anything, but all of it seemed to lack the appeal of the novels. That was to be expected, I guess, when you consider how much of it was in the narration.

OMfg Klaus gots no glssez!!1

Jim Carrey's performance looks like it is going to be a mixed bag. There are several instances where he plays a pretty good Olaf (or whoever Olaf is playing), but it looks pretty depressing.

..Well, not depressing in the way Mr. Snicket intended.

Will I see it? I probably will. I have a couple friends who loved the books and dislike the trailers, and it's as good an excuse as any to go to the mall.

Oh, yeah, the full trailer. If you aren't a fan / want to gouge your eyes out, click here.

Our insane and quite possibly crazy substitute teacher didn't show up in first period today. We stood around talking for about fifteen minutes, when one of the obese schoolyard dictators came over and let us into the room. After reading for a bit, the scary vice principal man (turns out his name is Mr. Norris, not Mr. Nords) and lectured us about why we should do our best in school. It wasn't really corny, and he wasn't really preaching. He's a good speaker.. He kept us entertained.

The math substitute was okay, I guess. I actually learned something.. For the first time in a while I had that cool feeling you get when you finally understand a math thing that's been bugging you.

Soccer was lame. We had to play on half a basketball court and hit the basketball pole to get a point. My teammates were well-abled, I guess, but we ended up tied with the other team anyway.

I technically got a point, but it was really hard to notice. There was no clangey sound, and the angle of the ball just changed slightly, but I didn't argue it. It doesn't really matter.

We went over yearbook assignments today. I was stuck with "eighth grade mugshots," which is apparently secret code for "you'll be doing all of it anyway, so let's just give you an 'assignment' to keep everyone quiet."

Truth is, the yearbook's my baby. It's my theme, it's my vision, it's my knowledge putting the program to use.. And yet everything I do (other than make a lame cover) gets shot down, no matter how much better it is than the other proposal.

I have a feeling the teacher wants to give everyone an "equal part." Screw everyone else, they'll only mess it up, walk out and have us fix it all in the end of the year. She doesn't want the pages to be dark with white text, either. She said she "doesn't think it would work," and left it at that. I dont understand why it wouldn't- as long as we tweak all the pictures a little bit, it would all be peachy keen. Having the cover I put out with cheery titles and vibrant, light backgrounds would not work.

I could threaten to make a transfer request to the office as my trump card, heh.

Teh SillyCircus Day 52- The kid in the commercial doesn't know what she's saying.. 3.2 megapixels? Pshaw, kid, we have 5.

EDIT: West side, biatch.
