Once I find a reason to be, I am so out of here..
Comment Commentary
Shin- I'm surprised at what my brother comes up with. He spent half an hour playing around with a box and the end result was hilarious (though a little played out).
Godel- I have a lot of responses like that, but I never say them because I'm always afraid of them being as tough as they act.
Mal- Overall, I'm enjoying it, but any asshole like that can ruin it for about a week, heh.
Mimmi- I rock, 'cause Mimmi said so. :}

I had a dream the other night that I got a PlayStation Portable out of nowhere. It was one of those dreams where nothing is really all that detailed. Just the stuff that mattered was in it. The rest was blank. I don't even remember what game I was playing (probably Metal Gear Acid), but just having it my hands was cool. It sort of sparked the old flame that I had for PSP, but I still don't intend on buying it anytime soon. None of the games look interesting other than maybe Acid, and I'm not going to buy a $200 handheld just for one game.
The same goes for DS still. Even though Project Rub (or I Would Die For You, or Feel the Magic or whatever they're calling it this week) is interesting to look at, it looks like it just boils down to "Look at what the DS can do!" They do that with a lot of launch titles, though.. I'm expecting great things, though, especially from the first person shooter genre.

I played Final Fantasy X for the first time in a while today. A month ago I left the party stranded in the temple where you get Yojimbo, but I didn't have enough money to get his services. At the time I didn't feel like going back through that cavern full of Tonberrys and other difficult creatures. Last night, however, I was bored so I decided to pick up the game and get out of there.
You know, I forgot how fun that game is. The battle system rocks so hard, and I let it go. How silly of me.
I'm rather surprised that I'm almost to the Zanarkand Ruins already.. Please tell me there is going to be a lot of backtracking, because I've only been playing for twenty-five hours.

Ooh, iRiver just released a new Hard Drive MP3 player. Same amount of storage as the model I was looking at beforehand, but it has an LCD screen. It's the same price as the other one, too, which I find a little suspicious. Perhaps the site just has an error..
You know, that's something that bothers me. Professional sites that many, many people look at, with great products, and yet their site doesn't keep up the pace. Viz's site is a prime example. They've been using the Saikano volume two GN cover for the second Saikano DVD image for several weeks, and just now they have fixed it. The fourth DVD is practically out- you'd expect the company that does the work to know what they're selling looks like.
Such a shame. *shakes head*

I watched some more of One Piece on FoxBox this morning. From what I had seen of the first episode, I didn't think what they had done to the series was really that bad, aside from the dub. This episode, however, was Luffy's backstory. Predictably, alcohol was changed into a non-threatening substance- orange juice- and all of the guns had little corks on them as if they were pop guns.
When the one mountain bandit got "shot" in the head, Shanks said this (in his god-awful Irish voice):
"When he wakes up, tell him it was a cat."
Or something like that. I didn't really catch the last half of the line, because I was too busy scoffing at the waking up part.
It was to be expected, though. I think 4Kids butchered Shaman King more, but Shaman King had more that was "controversial and bad for eight-year-olds." One Piece has always had a lighter tone to it, so 4Kids didn't have to do as much.
The only strong point of the dub: Roronoa Zolo (He's Zoro, dammit). He's the only one that doesn't sound like any typical anime character voice. He's individual, and he sort of sounds like a real person, and it works. The rest of it makes me want to go light 4Kids headquarters on fire.
..More than before, anyway.
Teh SillyCircus Day 54- Oh my God, I'm running out of witty closings and openings..
EDIT: Oh, a funny little FFX story for you all. I was fighting a band of creatures using Lulu, Auron and Wakka. Wakka got confused when he got hit by their Seed Cannon, and I didn't really bother remedying it. I was so close to killing them all anyway, there was no possible way he could do anything that drastic.
Well, he did. Lulu took a major hit from the enemy, Wakka threw his Blitzball at her, and she fell. Auron, too, was confused, so he didn't do anything on his turn. Wakka attacked him, and he shattered (I've had him equipped with Stonetouch throughout almost all of the game). He then had another turn, attackedh himself, and shattered. It was sort of funny, but I didn't feel like doing any more at the moment and I went to bed.
