I'm not racist, I'm an equal oppurtunity hater.
Comment Commentary
Shin- *shakes fist at Square Enix* You made Nocturne get an 8.6..
Alea- Well, 95% of non-animated things. If it's not broken, don't fix it, and if you're going to butcher a beloved anime, do it in your basement and show it at an obscure film festival where nobody will see it.
Godel- Well look again, my nemesis! Touche!
Mal- My English teacher is one of those strict-but-not-in-a-bad-way ones.. I liked last year's teacher better. She graded on favoritism. :)

Argh, I'm getting tired of all these "this is how my day went" posts. Everything I do on mO is starting to get formulaic. I need to shake things up a bit.
..But I'll do that later. For now I'll just do the same old shpiel.
The Bretheren, the book I've been reading for AR for a few weeks now, started getting good today. There were a couple plot twists that surprised me. Another essay was graded in front of the class today. It, too, got a low D, and we found out that the highest anybody has receied was a 75%, and that wasn't even in our class. It's like some sort of horrible slaughter..
I realized that my closing sentences were sort of weak, and I'm freaking out. Maybe I should improvise when I get up there.. It's not like the teacher's even reading it, anyway.
Science, nothing. In History we took more notes on The Great Awakening. I find it all funny, for no particular reason. Probably the hypocrisy of it all.
Math went okay. We had the test today, I'm sure I did fine (I may have missed one), and after that we took notes. For some reason the teacher was going insanely fast with it all, and her writing turned out to be somewhat like mine: squiggly and uninteligible.
Then she pulled some huge-ass abstract equation on us. I copied down about half of it, but because of her speed I gave up halfway through. Stupid abstract thinking.
Soccer. Scored a goal. Ended up doing a Neo-esque bendey dodge when a ball came flying at my face. At least I wasn't called Harry Potter.
We went up into the library in journalism. I really didn't have anything to do- I'm supposed to focus on the yearbook- so I just sat there and watched some friends type up some interview request to a random teacher I've never even heard of. Conversation spun off in various directions, and eventually we got onto the subject of the drama teacher and how she used to be a stripper.
How did we get there? I have no clue. Was it an enjoyable conversation? Hells yeah.

I'm not very dedicated to my piano practice. Six days a week I don't practice, and every Tuesday I spend the entire period between when I get home and when I go to the lesson practicing. It has proven to be a rather useful method for me.. I'm sure that I would do a lot better if I did that much practice every day.
For example, I received a new song last week, and I didn't play it until before the lesson today. I was surprised how well I did when I played it in the lesson. The instructor didn't say anything, but I think I was really close to passing it.
I did pass two other songs, though, including a new technical exercise. Hooray for sight reading.

Man, I need a haircut. I haven't had one since school started, and it's starting to distract me. I like having my hair longer like this, because it eliminates the threat my forehead poses, but it's getting too long.
..My God, I sound vain.

I got the automated call from Gamestop today regarding Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. I liked how they almost pronounced it correctly. Anyway, it should be in tomorrow evening, so I'll be sure to make my trip to the mall and demand my soundtrack after school.
Can you imagine how jammed the nation's phone lines will be on November eighth, the day before Halo 2's release? Terrorists would be so able to pull something..
Let's just hope it hits every fanboy lined up before midnight to get the game. I'm so sick about hearing them rave about how awesome it's going to be when I'm browsing in Gamestop.
Teh SillyCircus Day 57- Left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot..
EDIT: .hack//SIGN boxset.
"Based on a popular PlayStation2 game, the fantasy-adventure .hack//Sign is set in the world within an online game. Tsukasa, a powerful Wave Master, finds himself lost in the cyberworld, with little memory of how he got there. More significantly, he's unable to log out of the game and is apparently immune to many of its restrictions. He may be the focus of an impending crisis linked to the mysterious Key of the Twilight. As he wanders through different realms, Tsukasa meets spunky girl warrior Mimiru; earnest soldier Bear; the Crimson Knights, who maintain order in the game-world; and genially heroic Crim, a Heavy Spear wielder. Tsukasa also encounters a potent but unseen entity who promises to protect him--and does. Handsomely designed, well animated, and skillfully directed, .hack//Sign stands out as an example of how to turn a game into a series that can stand on its own merits."
I hate Amazon.com's descriptions of things. First they called Metal Gear Solid 3 a first person shooter, and now they're saying SIGN is based on the games.. I really need to find out where their headquarters is located.
