That's not the spirit. Try again.

Comment Commentary

DDG- Hey, give that's mine.

Syk- Says the man who has owned Metal Gear Solid 3 for a week now and hasn't touched it.

Shin- Whatever, bitch.

I didn't do a real update yesterday because I've been so preoccupied with.. Well, games (Sen playing games? NEVER). Knights of the Old Republic, The Chronicles of Riddick, and The Sims 2. Good stuff, man.

I was anticipating KOTOR (the first one, on PC) most, so I played it first. After installation, it didn't work, but that was only because certain drivers weren't installed. Damn OEMs.

It's cool, but not as interesting as I had hoped. As with all RPGs I have ever played, the gameplay started out rather weak, but as with Nocturne I am confident that it will pick up. I'm going Dark Side, of course, just because I want to choke people from a distance. Actually, I haven't been sticking with it.. Sometimes I just can't bring myself to killing innocents, and other times I can't wait to jump at the oppurtunity. Oh well.

Riddick, so far, is sort of a letdown. Granted, I've only played ten to fifteen minutes of it, but the stealth feels rather simple.

My first impressions tend to be wrong. So ignore these observations.

But The Sims 2. Hot damn, is it good. Technically, it's my brother's, but he's been gracious enough to be smaller than me so that I can shove him aside and play.

(Actually, he and I have a history with fighting over simulation games. It started with Sim City 3000, then the first Sims game, then Animal Crossing, and now The Sims 2. If I recall, we've been pretty violent about it too.)

As with the first game, downloading new outfits and creating new characters is the major draw for me. The level of customization in this game is next to indescribable.. It's leaps and bounds above anything else I've ever seen. There's a decent variety of clothing, and combining different stuff to make other outfits adds to more possibilities, but I'm finding it harder to find decent skins. Sure, it's only been out for a couple months, but the lack of quality, non-paysite fan works is perturbing. It's as if everything outside of the official Sims 2 website costs money, and all of the good skinners are kept out of it.

So I decided to make my own skins.

And how much fun that is.

I can't talk about it right now- My brother's hassling me to get off so he can play- but I promise to all of you (Karmi in particular) that all of these shittastic gamer posts will be silenced some when school starts up again on Monday. He's gracious enough to let me talk about a couple smaller things first, though.

Piano. I've been voluntarily playing piano a lot more recently. I actually got some practice in before the day of the lesson. It's not like I got new songs that are a ball to play. I've had these same ones for a while. I seem to be very productive when the computer is taken away from me (as with my brother and his new obsession).. Maybe I'll take an Azure-esque sabbatical someday.

Ted Leo And The Pharmacists. "Shake The Sheets." Buy it right now. Hell, download it for all I care. They fucking rock.

Twilight Zone Marathon. Oh God yes. DVDs, por favore.

Shonen Jump. In Yu-Gi-Oh they jumped from just before Duelist Kingdom to just after Battle City. Is that how the manga really goes? They talk about those two.. Tournaments, or whatever, but it's nowhere to be found.

I'm wondering why I care about Yu-Gi-Oh. My subscription's dead, actually. I'm not sure if I'll renew it or not.

The White Stripes. Elephant is not as good as De Stijl. Their DVD is out now, and I'm going to buy it on discount at Amazon.com.

Good writing techniques. Apparently nonexistent in this update. Sue me.
