Is it safe to update yet? Really? Well, if you say so..
Comment Commentary
Mimmi- Well I'm glad SOMEBODY got the reference. You people are so uncultured. :P
Shin- It's best when you don't think about it as you do it. I do that with math homework.
Godel- More or less. But I'll talk about that in a minute.
Alea- No, we'll have none of that.
Mal- I hate historical documents in general. They're one of my pet peeves.

When I was thinking about what to write, I realized how long it's been since I did a real update. It's been.. What, three days? That's a surefire sign that I've been busy.
They cut off our power the other day. This was the day I was planning to do most of my essay- it was two days before the due date- but when I came home I found the garage door opener to be unoperational, along with pretty much everything else. My family was totally freaked out and pissy towards each other, but I found it hilarious. I called all my friends and told them about how I was now officially Amish. I dunno, maybe that's my way of dealing with stress.
Anyway, there was nothing to do at home, so we went out. For sustenance and heat we went to Pizza Hut. The pizza was crappy, and the jukebox was stuck playing a hell of a lot of the Village People. After that we went to Barnes and Noble, where I did math homework to the tune of a couple of slacker-punk guys talking about BMX and porn.
They had Saikano volume three.. But, as I've said before, it's wrapped in the infamous 18+ plastic. I need to get my hands on that somehow.
For the story. Not the, ahem. Questionable bits.
Even without electricity, I still somehow found a way to stay up late. I pulled my Half-Life 2 behind-the-scenes-documentary book, entitled "Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar," off of my shelf. I've had it since my birthday in December, but I've never really payed attention to it. I knew that looking at it would spoil Half-Life 2 for me, but that was no longer an issue, seeing as I had beaten the game a couple of days before.
I really love art books. It's so great to look at at how characters and ideas progressed in games and movies and so on.
The power came back on the next day.. And all was right with the world.
We got a magical extension on the essay / project, but I decided to do mine on time anyway, for whatever reason. I was up until 12:30 writing it, briefly proofreading it, and scanning in different bits of propaganda. I think it came out all right.. Though I had a major panic attack last night when I had this false realization that I forgot to double-space it. My left arm was tingling for fifteen minutes, I was so spazzed.

My brother decided that he wanted a TV in his room the other day, and he had the money to buy one with. I was fine with that until he decided that he wanted to put the Gamecube in there. The TV in this room was placed here specifically for games- it has the little box with multiple AV plugs for multiple consoles, and the comfy "game chair." It has become my little corner haven. He has disrupted the flow of sanctity in this household. He shall BURN.
On the bright side, it keeps him away from this room more. I care less now that I have beaten Resident Evil 4 (LAMEST FINAL BOSS EVER).
If he had said "I'm taking the PS2" instead, I would have been like "Aw HE-YEL NO" and bitch-slapped him. Shows where my priorities lie, huh?

I finally found my Yuki Kajiura CDs (.hack//SIGN OST 1 and Fiction) today. Somebody thought it would be a good idea to put them in the DVD cupboard-ish thing, which I never look in. Anyway, they're now ripped and on my iPod, and that's a good thing. I've forgotten how great Ms. Kajiura is, in the midst of all of my angsty aggro/indie/garage/retro/nu-metal music.
I realize that I'm skipping a Superlative Scanning Saturday, but I didn't draw anything this week. I have a bunch of works in progress.. Expect more next week.
Closing statement: I have 633 songs on my iPod now, and it's only 12% full. God, this is the greatest electronic device ever.
EDIT: Also, I bought Etro Anime's "See The Sound" on Amazon.com today. They're the people who did the song in the Digital Devil Saga trailer. Sexy electronic drum-n-bass jazz. Good stuff, my friends. Good stuff indeed.
ANOTHER EDIT: Well, happy birthday to me. They moved FullMetal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex up half an hour. I'm a happy camper now. Whee.
