Spanish songs in Andalucia..
Heh heh.. It's one visit away from 4,000. I was expecting it to be tonight, but.. Looks like you have to wait.

It's a good thing, too, because I haven't done anything for it yet. o_O

Comment Commentary

Tony- See, I never saw Seven. Maybe that's part of why I like it so much- I don't have much to compare it to.

James- Right.. All legitimate. <_<

My song-finding process:

1) Search the internet for free MP3s. If they're more popular songs (i.e. anything from MTV or VH1), it's not that hard to find these, but if I'm looking for an entire album.. Whew, good luck with that.

2) "Borrow" from friends. It's sort of rare that my friends have music that I'm interested in (before me, anyway. I once burned 20 CDs for one friend), but you never know.

3) If it's a band I like a lot, I buy the actual CD. If they have decent liner notes and cool art, it's worth a couple extra bucks. Otherwise I just buy it on iTunes. It's the security of a permenant hard copy, you know?

..And I have no idea why I wrote this here.

Shin- Ah, so your school system was one of those crazy ones that counts sixth grade as middle school. A very strange and foreign land, this La Puente is.

Lewna- And hello right back. ^_^

I went on a bit of an eBay prowl today. Generally, when I'm on that site, I'm just looking for posters or cool band paraphernalia. Well, this time was no different, because, as usual, I found a ton of cool stuff but I didn't buy anything.

There was this totally awesome Ted Leo + Pharmacists poster, and I would buy it in a second, if I had a credit card on hand. Nobody has placed a bid on it.. $3.98 for such a cool poster. It's a steal.

Actually, I don't have any posters in my room. Well, I guess I can't really say that- there's an old Harry Potter poster from fifth grade on the wall that I've never bothered to take down. It's one of those made-for-school "Reading can take you ANYWHERE!!1" posters, you know?

Heh, I knew it was lame before, but in actually stating it where anybody can read it, I feel even worse about it. Tsk.

I don't think I would want a room covered in posters, either. Just a few, selectively placed posters here and there would suit me just fine. And maybe a cool anime wallscroll.

Perhaps I won't be as stingy with my cash at AX this year and- dare I say it- actually buy something?

Oh, right, I made something in Photoshop for art again over the weekend. It was just one of those practice things that I've been doing to familiarize myself with various Photoshop.. Things.

For what it is, I think it turned out okay. I never intended for it to be profound or poetic by any means.. I just felt it seemed empty without text, so I threw in song lyrics. How groundbreaking of me.

"Tyranny of Distance" is an early Ted Leo album.. The top border is from Pixies' "Letter to Memphis," the right one is The White Stripes "Truth Doesn't Make a Noise," the one on the left is Weezer's "Across the Sea" (I really regret putting that one there. It's so whiny), and the one on the bottom is a translation of Yuki Kajiura's "Yasashii Yoake."

My art teacher says I'm not using Photoshop to its fullest potential.. That's definitely true, but I don't think he can really help me out with it. He said he'd bring in tutorials, but.. Eh, whatever. You never know what will help.

Closing statement: I really want a haircut. My hair's getting to that point where it looks okay in the front, but it's getting rather agitating to deal with and it looks kind of like a mullet in the back, heh. I've also taken a solemn vow to not grow my hair out, so.. Yeah. On with the haircuttage.
