Sooo, deh-soo nay? i have masterred teh japaneez!~

Comment Commentary

Tony- Or they'll have cancelled the deal entirely.. But seriously, people are saying they already modified the deal so that you don't need a coupon, but you need to turn in four games instead.

Shin- That's another thing. There were homeless crackheads sleeping under the Vaginas R Us sign. What a coincidence!

Sara- There's four of them now.. Though gamerankings.com says Myst III wasn't well-received, Myst IV seems to be enjoyable.

satan665- Man, if Feel The Magic makes you want a DS, whatever you do don't play Meteos or Kirby's Canvas Curse. They'll hypnotize you into buying one on the spot.

Ethan- And how exactly are you going to do that? Buy cheap-ass GBA games from Blockbuster for $2 and run over to EB? By then, I think your gas bill will compensate for the effects of the deal. :P

James- I got a Giga Pet for Christmas back when I was six. The goddamn tadpole wouldn't take its medication. I did everything I could to keep the little bastard happy, but it wouldn't take the damned pill. Eventually I gave up and shoved it under a couch cushion until I found it months later with a dead battery.

I never mentioned that I finally got my Pixies CDs- you know, the live recording from the show I went to.. They came in the mail on Monday, and I've been enjoying them thoroughly.

I took a couple pictures of the packaging. The thing on the left is the certificate of authenticity. Apparently, I was the 271st person of 500 to place an order on the June 2nd shows. The one in the middle is the LA shows.. I like the orange and blue. It reminds me of Samurai Champloo's opening theme. And the thing on the right is some 15-song Cleveland recording they sent me for no reason. If it was different material, I wouldn't mind, but between all 65 of these songs, most of them are repeats, and I don't think I'll be listening to the ones that I wasn't at as much.

Also, you can see my shirt in that picture. At the bottom.

The "inside." That's the actual certificate on the left, the inside of the LA one in the middle (a big picture of the band in the background), and the back of the paper slip casing for the Cleveland one.

Also pictured: My shitty Microsoft mouse, my Myst case, and my keyboard that has most of the letters rubbed off from years of furious typing.

This sounds like I'm bragging, doesn't it? That wasn't the intention.. Just thought it was cool.

Turns out that Jump Super Stars is going to be more text-heavy than I initially thought. To unlock new koma (character cameos, basically) you have to go through a mission mode, where you have to meet specific requirements in different matches. Of course, those requirements are going to be in Japanese, so I'm going to have to require on FAQs more.

But due to the feeling of helplessness that comes with being a white boy in an Asian gamer's world, I've broken out the Japanese books again in hopes of learning something.

This time, for reals.

I give it a week.
