OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
It has been since Monday I have been on, and I have but missed you all!
Had my first Japanese class, and it's so cool! We've got a copy of this CD to practise our katakana first, and then the kanji is next week. Recruited my friend to go too. The thing is near this heath, so my mum is a bit iffy, and it's amongst a bunch of housing estates too. >_> It's also from 7-9 pm, so it's going to get colder and darker as the year draws on.

   ONLY COSPLAYER!
On Friday, I was the only cosplayer of the whole event! There were about 200 people there, but I was the only cosplayer there! I felt all shy in my pink wig and I wasn't with anyone either. I was all by myself. There was an old, short man standing there, near me, and saw me and struck conversation with me. He was short, shorter than I, even though I was in my heels, he couldn't have been more than 5'4"! He said I looked lovely , and assured me that there'd be some cosplayers, and then he reminded me that I WOULD GET A PRIZE, so I was happy about that. He said I should meet his friend Paul. Now, Paul is only the fucking curator of the anime event! >.< So I was quite excited! I met him and we talked, and then it was decided that I would sit with them. The old man's name is Ian, and he is outlandish in style and manner, and you can tell that he loves the high life. He says he prefers manga to anime, and he's a DC man, not Marvel.
Afer the event, I was talking to them. There was some Sapporo beer, but I said how I couldn't drink beer because I'm not 18 yet.
It also turns out that Paul lives in the same town as me! *grins* I also got his card. Paul Gravett is an old time journalist who writes about manga and anime and comics and graphic novels in general. He's a really nice man, and I felt welcomed, even though he's like late-40s and I'm 16. Same with Ian and his extravagant self. I even got to go to the other 'Ghost in the Shell' film, for FREE, because Paul put me on the 'guestlist'! *Raises eyebrows*
He says he'll contact me about all the other anime events, and I gave him my email address. I saw him on Saturday, but Deborah looked uncomfortable, though she always is, and I wanted to introduce her to both Ian and Paul, but she wasn't having any of it.
The weird thing to me about talking to these two old middle-class white men, is just the age. I don't tend to talk to people who are vastly my senior, really. My paternal grandparents don't talk to my family, my maternal ones are dead, and my family aren't close, and my mum doesn't have many friends.
As my mum said "Well, just hope that he doesn't try and groom you. Oh, but you're legal now, aren't you?"
The prizes I won were:
1. The 'Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex' 3rd film T-shirt
2. 'Robotech' complete sags- 85 episodes
3. 'Ghost in the shell: Stand alone complex' series boxset- 26 episodes
4. 'Ghost in the shell: Innocence' film.

All for just dressing up in a pink wig and getting strange looks! *beams a grin*

   I'm bored!
Had two subjects today, had homework for one, that was simply regurgitating what was on the sheet.
Had French, and it was fun, as ever. There's an interactive white board, and we had to change the verbs, and we all had fun, and our new teacher is grand.
I'm in a double free and as bored as hell! On here, but no one's on.
Tonight, I am doing a workshop to sort out the design process for printing messages on t-shirts for the next Tate event. It's going to be long, but I get a free t-shirt with a message on it!
Life's alright. An incident put me in an AWFULLY grumpy and sulky mood; I had read it in the morn- like 9:15 morning, and that just basically turned my mood on it's head from the previous night of genuine happiness. You know who you are! lol Got an essay to right before I go out tonight, so I have to make sure I do it, because I'll be useless when I get back at 9pm!

   All smartly-dressed!
Yeah, Got my shirt, waistcoat and tie on today. I just felt like dressing up in all frankness. I feel all self-important. There's an open evening, for the next year, so people keep thinking that I'm dressing up for that. I don't believe I should be part of bringing the lambs to the slaughter in all honesty.
