Sometime in the next week, my site will be renovated. Again. Until that time, however, my posts will only be Bzoink quizzes. Sorry. I'm addicted. :P

Whee!
Monkees fans ONLY | Created by saturdayschild and taken 46 times on bzoink! | If you don't know The Monkees, there's no reason for you taking this. | If you're not a fan and insist on staying, better make this good. | Which Monkees episode is your favorite? | The Devil and Peter Tork | Song? | Listen to the Band/The Porpiose Song/Pleasant Valley Sunaday/Randy Scouse Git/The Girl I knew Somewhere/Goin' Down/on and on and on... | Monkee? | W. H. Woolhat...that's Nez, for you clueless people. :P | What did you think about "Head"? | Weirdness. Cool theme... | What did you think about "33 1/3..."? | Never saw it. | Which record was their best? | Headquarters | When did you become a fan? | 1998 | How? | Reruns. I heart reruns. | Have you seen all of their episodes? | 95% of them. | Who is the best song-writer of the group? | Er...Nes or Mickey, not sure. | Best performer? | Micky, definatly. Hyper, frenestic energy at its best. | Best singer? | Peter. Too bad they didn't let him sing much... | Best dancer? | Davy. | Best actor? | They were all pretty much the same. | Which song (that one of the members wrote) was the best? | Goin' down. And get this: all 4 of them wrote it! Booyah! | Which song do you most identify with? | Pleasant Valley Sunday. I despise mediocrity. | What do you think of Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart? | Yeck. | Mr. Schneider? | He's such a dummy, with that wooden expression...'ey, they'er 'is cards, don't antagonize 'im. | Don Kirschner? | EVIL! | I don't even know if I spelled those right. | No worries, you did. | Have you ever been to a Monkees/ solo concert? | Nope. | If so, when, where, who? | Nope, no, nyet, nein. | Did you sit still and quietly enjoy, or were you all over the place? | I would've been all over the place. I never sit still at concerts. | Did you purchase any of their ridiculously expensive items? | Nope. | How many records, CDs, tapes, etc of theirs do you own? | One, sadly | Which year was their best? | 1967 | What do you think of the idea for the New Monkees? | EVIL!!! | Describe Peter in 3 words: | Cute, cuddly, nice | Davy in 3: | Short, charming, annoying | Micky in 3: | hyper, bonkers, fuzzy | Mike in 3: | Tall, dark, handsome | Why do you like The Monkees so much? | I cannot say. | If you could create your own Monkees episode, what would it be called? | The Monkees take Manhatten. What? Who cares about copyrights? | What songs would be played? | All of 'em. This would be the 9 hour extravaganza. | What would the plot be? | Plot? This is the MONKEES! Who needs plot? Ok, gangsters. Everyone likes gangster stories, right? | Who would guest star? | No one | Would you be in it? | Nope. I'd feel too awkward...not to mention, I'd be following the guys around like the worst Mary Sue in the world... | If so, would you or someone else play "YOU"? | Well...me, of course. If I had too.... | What would happen in the end? | The good guys would win. Someone other than Davy would get the girl. | What romps would the guys do? Where? | Chaos. Complete chaos. | Would you also make a Monkees movie? | I dunno...could I get a time machine so they look like they did back in the 60s? | If so, tell me all about it. | Gangsters! Sorry, I love all the Gangster references in the original show. (Want to see my immitation of the imitable James Cagney? You dirty rat...) | Have you ever met any of the fellas in person? | Nope. | If so, how, who, when, where, etc? | Nope! | What one line would you make Peter say? | I have no clue, so I will use this as a "fav quote" section. Happiness is a warm puppy.
Happiness is pizza for breakfast.
Happiness is finding "The Monkees Greatest Hits" on CD and "Yellow Submarine" on DVD.
Happiness is waking up at 6:30, and realizing it's your day off, so you can stay in bed.
Happiness is a brand new pad of drawing paper and new colored pencils.
Happiness is wearing a pair of tennis shoes that you took two years to break in after a week of work shoes.
Happiness is finding out you're not the only one that studies best when listening to Trance-techno
Happiness is finding a website that has really good pictures of Mickey, Mike and Peter.
Happiness is being the most popular at something for once.
Happiness is Dance Dance Revolution MP3s.
Happiness is staying up until 1:00 watching "Pirates of the Caribbean" for the 9,00,000th time.
Happiness is knowing it's only 7 weeks until Christmas.
Happiness is watching your parents smooch every time your dad comes home from work.
Happiness is waking up at your grandparents on Christmas.
Happiness is living in a town small enough for you and your sister to walk from one end to the other in two hours.

I got accepted! Ozy J. A. Jones, esquire, is soon to be a college student! Yahoo!!!! I am going to be going for Elementary Art Education, in the spring of '05. Yay!!!! In celebration, I give you what is, quite possibly, the weirdest song ever record by the monkees:
One, two, three, four, five
Four, Three, two, one, zero...
Reason verse of prose or rhyme
Lose themselves in all good signs
And waiting coats cast silent spells
That speak in clouded clues
It cannot be a part of me
For now it's part of you
Careful plays on feilds that seem to vanish
When they're in between
And softly as I walk away in freshly tattered shoes
It cannot be a part of me
For now it's part of you
Sunshine, ragtime, blowing in the breeze
Midnight looks right, standing more at ease
Silouhettes and figures stay
Close to what he had to say
And one more time a faded dream is saddened by the news
It cannot be a part of me
For now it's part of you
Sunshine, ragtime, blowing in the breeze
Midnight looks right, standing more at ease
Sunshine, ragtime, blowing in the breeze
Midnight looks right, standing more at ease
Silouhettes and figures stay
Close to what he had to say
And one more time a faded dream is saddened by the news
It cannot be a part of me
For now it's part of you

This looks familiar, vaguely familiar,
Almost unreal, yet, it's too soon to feel yet.
Close to my soul, yet so far away.
I'm going to go back there someday.
Sun rises, night falls, sometimes the sky calls.
Is that a song there, and do I belong there?
I've never been there, but I know the way.
I'm going to go back there someday.
Come and go with me, it's more fun to share,
We'll both be completely at home in midair.
We're flyin', not walkin', on featherless wings.
We can hold onto love like invisible strings.
There's not a word yet for old friends who've just met.
Part heaven, part space, or have I found my place?
You can just visit, but I plan to stay,
I'm going to go back there someday.
I'm going to go back there someday.

Seems to me I've been talking about two subjects lately: music and taxes. Given that most everybody has probably had enough of me griping about taxes, I shall again talk about music.
Do any of you have a favorite style of music? I don't...my band tastes are too diverse. If I were to list off all the bands I like in the order they come to mind in, the list would look like this:
The Monkees, The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Newsboys, DC Talk, Superchic[k], SuperTramp, Five Iron Frenzy, Thousand Foot Krutch, KJ-52, John Reuben, Brave Saint Saturn, Steve Taylor, Rich Mullins, Led Zepplin, Queen, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Men without Hats, Ill Harmonics, P.O.D., Pillar, Kutless, David Meece, Jethro Tull, the Who, E.L.O. Elton John, Bare Naked Ladies, Nina, Delerious, Audio Adrenaline, Rebecca St. James, O.C. Supertones, Matchbox 20, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Hootie and the Blowfish, Great Big C, Nickleback, Steve Miller Band, Steppenwulf, Skillet*, Billy Joel, Steven Curtis Chapman, Barlow Girl, Celine Dion, Duke Ellington, Count Basey, T Bone, Caeli Rain, The Electrics, The Apologetix, Con Ken, GI gantic, SoulJahz, Playdoh, Relient K, Joy Electric, the Cars, Rush, Loius Armstrong, Elvis Presley, Elvis Costello, Counting Crows, Faith Hill, The Ws, Clay Aiken, The Wallflowers, Ben E. King, the Temptations, The Partridge Family, Five for Fighting, Cross Movement, Toby Mac, DJ Maj, Boney M, DJ Sammy, Moby, Fatboy Slim, Rammenstien**, Petra, V6, RevenG, DesRow, Naoki, DJ Simon, Linkin Park***, ROSE, The Saint, Joga, SMILE.dk, Spike Jones and his City Slickers, 3 Doors Down, Roper, Sanctus Real, Sup the Chemist, Mars Ill, Petula Clark, Tinman Jones, and I (believe it or not) like more bands then even mentioned here...
*So named because extended listening makes your head start to feel like it's being hit by a skillet repeatedly.
**I like the style...I don't speak German, so I have no clue what they're saying...the lead singer's voice is SCARY!
***Only some songs. Same as Eminem...only the chopped versions...I don't want that muck in my head, thank you very much! |
