Well, I'm back! With a sunburned nose, sore legs and in dire need of an actual shower, I returned victoriously from Kingdom Bound 2004. I had so much fun, but where to start?
On Sunday, we left the church around nine o'clock, and I fell asleep for about 30 minutes. Let me tell you, with the rest of the kids in my youth group, that's a very dangerous thing to do. Luckily, I woke up before any thing untoward happened to me. We do have video footage of one of the guys in the youth group waking up with a camera in his face. He reacted pretty much normally: he attacked the camera. It was pretty funny. Half the way to Buffalo, the church van had an emergency. We were driving merrily along when next thing you know, there's smoke pouring out from under the hood. Our air conditioner had overheated, and started melting through a belt. However, it was discovered that if we just left the AC off, we'd be fine. We got to the campground around 4:00, and didn't really do much the rest of that day other than set up. And unlike last year, the weather was nice. Last year it POURED while we set up.
Monday I saw Garret Jax for the first time in two years. I had been worried that maybe he'd changed in 2 years, but he was pretty much the same, all the way down to his hawai'in shirt. We went on the Ferris Wheel (main topic of conversation: psychotic ducks), the Mind Eraser (main topic of conversation: world domination) and the U.F.O. (main topic of conversation: the guy standing opposite of us, and whether he'd lose his sunglasses so Garret could catch them.) Then Garret made a very serious mistake: we went into an arcade, and he showed me Dance Dance Revolution. Thanks to him, I am now a DDR addict. I'm still really, really bad at it, (I can't even beat "Saints" in light mode), but it's so much fun! I sort of want to buy a PS2 now, so I can get DDR. Thrush just thinks it's really, really sad...but then, she's not the type of person to make a fool of herself in front of other people. But I digress. After the rides, we went to concerts. The first one we went to was Thousand Foot Krutch. We were a little late, and Silver had the camcorder, so we didn't get very far into the crowd, but we had fun anyway. I'm going to digress here again for a few seconds. You remember when I told you to read Garret's stories? Well, if you did, I'm sure you remember a character named "Aaron". Well...I met the friend that Aaron is based on. He's INSANE!!! I have videotape of him dancing with Garret, Silver, Silver's friend Ttimme and some random guy...I think he was a friendd of Garret's friend. Anyway.1000 foot Krutch is a hard rock band. The main dances being performed by Garret and Comapny were the Charelston, the Macarena, the Robot and something that looked like a mix of head-banger and a tango. Quite strange.
Oh, wow. I've written a lot already. Well...tune in tomorrow for part two!

There is nothing wrong with your television.
Do not attempt to adjust the picture.
We are controling the transmission.
We control the horizontal and the vertical.
We can deluge you with a thousand channels,
Or sharpen one image to crystal clarity...
and beyond.
We can shape your vision to anything
Our imagination can concieve.
For the next hour, we will control all
That you see and hear.
You are about to expirience the awe and mystery
That reaches from the deepest inner mind to
The Outer Limits!
Please stand by.
Ozymandius Jones will return,
Friday, August 6th, 2004.

Ding, Dong, My Brain is Dead...
How do some movies get to be classics? Last week, Thrush cornered me, and insisted that I watch "The Wizard of Oz"...something I have been avoiding doing for the last 5 years.
"But Oz..." she whined at me..."It's a classic, you have to watch it! Besides, you're probably the only 17 year old in existance who hasn't seen it."
"Oh, alright."
So I sit there...and sit there...hoping desperatly that the movie will get better. It goes on...and on...and on...and does it get better? No! It gets WORSE. Why is this movie a classic?!?!?

I apologize for using the dreaded "full paragraph in all caps" method, but it does get me a tad bit upset. Anyways. *Breathes deeply*. I feel better now.
I will attempt to post every day this week, but starting this Saturday I will not be online for...*Counts on fingers* Seven days. Seven days?!? I'm going to not have access to a computer for a week?!? Oh, man...I'm going to shrivel up and die like the Wicked Witch of the West*!
I guss I'll live, now that I think about it. I will be in the Buffalo area for a concert festival at an amusement park. Oh, joyous day! Caloo! Caley! (Sorry, had to get in a Alice in Wonderland reference there). I love amusement parks. Roller coasters...crowds...rides that do things to the human body that were never meant to happen...heeheehee.
An added plus is I'll get to see "Garrett Jax" again. I haven't seen him in two years, so I'm hoping it won't take too long to get used to each other again...
Ok, enough of a post for today, I think!
*For a rant on the subject of "The WIzard of Oz", tune in tommorrow.

This is the first part of a two part post. To my wonderful friends on MO: read part two. I am not yelling at you. However…
*Ahem*
WHICHEVER ONE OF YOU STUPID JERKS IS DELETING MY COMMENTS, STOP IMMEDIATELY, OR I WILL COMPLAIN TO ADAM OR WHOMEVER. I WORK HARD ON MY ARTWORK, AND DO NOT APPRECIATE IT WHEN COMPLIMENTS OR FRIENDLY ADVICE DISAPPEARS. THANK YOU!

Today's post is about the folly of youth. Now, I live in Pennsylvainia, and our...um...not so nice governor has decided to cut the library funding for the entire state, so it's kinda hard for libraries to get new stuff. So I decided to donate some of my old Shirly Temple movies. The next time we go to the library will be next Tuesday. So, in my slight nostalgia, I decided to watch them again. Thrush, Silver and I watched two last night.
Ugh. I quite quickly remembered why I stopped liking Shirly Temple movies in the first place. They're all so...so...just so. Shirly is alway such a little "angel", despite the fact that her (Mom/dad/bothparents) died, and she always worms her little way into other people hearts...bleah. It's almost enough to make you ill!
We watched "Little Bright Eyes", where both her parents die, and "The Littlest Rebel" which, in addition to the untimely demise of her mother, was also incredibly racist and pro-South...two things which make me feel even MORE ill than Shirly Temple. Not that I have anything against the South NOW...but the Pro-Slavery South is something I never have understood, and probably never will.
*Woop! Woop! Woop!*
"Sulu! What's that?"
"Captain Kirk! It's the Tangent Alarm! The Starship Ozymandius is about to get sucked off on one!"
"Oh, no! Hold tight!"
I have never, never, EVER understood racism. The first neighborhood I really remember living in was the neighborhood we lived in when my dad was in seminary. There was a black family with 3 kids, a family from Brazil, a family from Taiwan, one from Oman, and a few other countries. And you know what? We all played together. Sure, we got in fights and some people wouldn't play with other people for a couple of days, but that was always over stupid little kid things. I guess racism is somehting you learn as you get older, but it's a shame. Anytime I hear anything about Racial crimes and things like that, I remember visiting Shontell and Kiluba, and I wonder why anybody could do something to another person just because their skin is a different color. Racism is the stupidest invention of humanity.
*Beep. Beep. Boop...*
"Captain, sair! We appear t' 'ave returned to our original course!"
"Thank you, Scotty. Engines ahead full."
Anyway. My advice to you is this: Never, ever, EVER watch 3 hours of Shirly Temple right before bed. It will give you a headache. And guess what? We still have 3 more to watch...yes, we are watching the other three movies. And then they go to the library, where they can go to someone who will appreciate them. But I don't anymore.

I am quite possibly the most pitiful fanfic/original fic writer on the face of the planet. I cannot finish even one story. This is a sore point between Thrush and me, because she comes up with these wonderful characters like Kelebros Breyers, Walker Jackson (uploaded a pic of him yesterday) and Thrush Battersea, and then I'm supposed to write stories with the characters she invents. Coming up with the stories is no problem...until I try to write them down. A couple of months ago, I put up sort of a serial fic, written in script format. It was fun to do, but I'm a perfectionist, and it was full of holes and had no real plot. Listed on the page linked below, we have a comprehensive list of every story I have tried to write in the last two years, in no particular order.
Exhibit A:
A word of clarification: any story that says just the title of that show is a story where no crossovers occure. The stories that say crossover are crossovers with my OCs, The Terrors. Anything with Rogues in the discription is from the universe of the character of Ozy.
Do any of you who are writers write out plans for stories, but never finish them? IS THIS NORMAL??? And do you have any advice? If I don't get these stories outta my head, I'm gonna go INSANE!!!! But I try to write an original story, and Vash comes waltzing through. I try to write fanfic, and my original characters invade. HELP!!!!!
