What is the opposite of riot?
It's lot's of people keeping quiet.
The opposite of doughnut? Wait
A minute while I meditate.
This isn't easy. Ah, I've found it!
A cookie with a hole around it.
What is the opposite of two?
A lonely me, a lonely you
The opposite of a cloud could be
A white reflection in the sea
Or a huge blueness in the air,
Caused by a cloud's not being there.
The opposite of opposite?
That's much too difficult. I quit.
I like that poem, because I like absurdity. Absurdity is fun. It's been one of my favorite poems since I was about twelve. I don't think vash would like the real opposite of donut: No donut. And speaking of donuts, I am proud to announce the newest member of Da Phat Katz: vashspiegel, aka Donut. Hiya, Donut! Nyao!

Today, I have discovered that I like Wolfwood. He's so funny! Of course, I still like Vash best, but Wolfwood runs a close second.
I found another new site: Paradigm City Fun with Big O!

I found the lyrics for "Rain":
I don't feel a thing
And I stopped remembering
The days are just like moments turned to hours
Mother used to say
If you want, you'll find a way
Bet mother never danced through fire showers
Walk in the rain, in the rain, in the rain
I walk in the rain, in the rain.
Is it right or is it wrong,
And is it here that I belong?
I don't hear a sound,
Silent faces in the ground.
The quiet screams, but I refuse to listen.
If there is a hell,
I'm sure this is how it smells.
Wish this were a dream, but no, it isn't
Walk in the rain, in the rain, in the rain
I walk in the rain, in the rain.
Am I right or am I wrong,
And is it here that I belong?
Walk in the rain, in the rain, in the rain
I walk in the rain, in the rain.
Why do I feel so alone?
For some reason I think of home...
Now, could somebody PLEASE tell me where this is used? I know "Tank" is the opening theme, and I THINK the closing theme is "Real Folk Blues", but where does "Rain" fit in? I have yet to see a full episode of Cowboy Bebop...I can't tape three shows at once, and there is NO WAY that Cowboy Bebop would replace Inuyasha or Trigun, so Bebop is going to have to wait...
*WARNING: ABRUPT TOPIC SHIFT! WARNING! DANGER, WILL ROBINSON! DANGER! DANGER!!*
Did you know that the guy who did Spike's voice also was the voice for Roger Smith of Big O? That's pretty neat, 'cuz I love Roger's voice, and voice plays a big part in whether or not I like a character. If the voice doesn't fit the personality, the whole character doesn't work for me.
Take Vash for example. He's my favorite anime character, and I love his voice. "Why?" you may ask, "He WHINES!!!" Yep. That's the point. The actor who does his voice (I can't remember his name, but he's definatly redeemed himself from being a Power Ranger) is very versatile. We have whiney Vash (Oh, I was SO sure it would work out this time! She was a real cutie...but I don't WANNA go to jail...this one will probably be blamed on me too...aw, man...!), Fakey-Bishonen-Vash (My bullets are known for never missing their mark...ecspecially if it's the heart of a beautiful lady...), High-Pitched-Insane Vash (You know, when he's laughing hysterically), Drunk Vash (Gimme back my gun, gramma! *Kuthud* What happened? I dunno, all of a sudden mah head jus' started t' hurt...) and (my personal favorite) the Completly-Normal-Caring Vash...Like whan he was talking to the guys who got hurt in "Love and Guns". The guy who plays Vash is VERY versitile. Also, an interesting peice of information is that the lady who did the voice for Milly also did the voice for R. Dorothy in Big O. From Ditzy-Pudding-Fiend to Emotionless Andriod in ten easy lessons...
Also, many of my favorite characters from Inuyasha have wonderful voices for their personalities: Inuyasha himself has a fairly whiney, antagonistic, tough guy voice, but when he's talking to Kikyo or Kagome in some episodes, he's voice softens until it sounds tender and not-so-sure of himself.
Koga also has a voice that we shall just describe as "cool" and leave it at that. Miroku's voice is perfect for a young, girl-crazed well...whatever he is. And Thrush would slug me if she thought I was forgetting Sesshomaru and his oil-smooth voice.
Now, however, this voice obsession of mine does have a downside: I have trouble imagining a character doing anything until I've heard the characters voice. "Why is this a problem?" you ask? Well...I'm trying to write a Trigun fanfic, and I have only heard three or four lines from Wolfwood. I could work with THAT, but enter Bad Guys and we have a problem. I have not heard a single word from either Knives or everyone's favorite psycho, the infamous Legato Bluesummers. And that, my friends, is why the writing of "Dice the Tornado" has hit a snag....
...However, that will be remidied in a few weeks, and then watch out for some seriously weird fan-fictions...Erhem, sorry, just had to advertise upcoming events. And believe it or not, these are going to be stories...back story, description, and NOT written like a script. Hence why it's TAKING ME SO LONG!!!! *fantasizes about selling Muse on Ebay...Muse, who looks alarmingly like a cat, merely ignores* Sorry. Well, I have to go.
Later,
~Ozy J.
P.S. Has anyone read Akiko? If not, I'll tell you about it soon. Anime Marathon Night Tonight! Four episodes of Trigun, and four of Inuyasha! And Nicholaus Wolfwood! YAY!

Bouncing Subjects
Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate,
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice
~Robert Frost
I don't know why I like that poem so much...it's not exactly cheerfull. It did give me something to post, though.
Recently, in history/english class, I have been reading a book called "Defying Hitler: A Memoir". It's by a man named Sebastion Haffner, a German. He was alive during both World Wars, and was one of the silent majority who hated everything the Nazis stood for. In the book, he was talking about and trying to explain the mentality that has to be present for an entire nation to be so misled. It's a good book, even if I still don't understand how the Nazis happened.
Another book I've been reading lately is "Little Women", by Louisa May Alcott. I do NOT like that book. I LOATHE that book. And it's not that it's too girly or anything like that, because "Anne of Green Gables" is girly, and it's one of my favorite books. I think it's just the unrelenting CHEERFULLNESS that pervades the entire book...it's unrealistic, and that's why I dislike it. Anne Shirley is always unrealistically cheerful too, but she KNOWS that she is, and that's the POINT!! Why couldn't I have volunteered to read "Anne of Green Gables" again, instead of "Little Women"?!?
A good book is "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury. I like Ray Bradbury, because his words are like poetry, even though he writes in prose, and he gets just the right mixture of wonder, nostalgia and scariness. "Fahrenheit 451" is about a time in the not-so-distant future, where books are outlawed, and how one man discovers why. It's in the same genre as "1984", "Animal Farm" and "Brave New World", but I like it better because it ends on a positive note. And, just in case you were wondering, 451 degrees F is the temperature at which book paper burns, and that's how they destroy books. Well, my father is breathing down my neck...he wants his computer back...TTFN!

Animation from Gpetz.com
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
On the darkest night of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
~Robert Frost
Today's poem was not because I was lazy, but because Momma Vash said it was her favorite. It's by my favorite poet of all time, so I was happy to type it. The poem itself is called "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening". It's my third favorite Robert Frost poem, where as "The Road Not Taken" is my first favorite, and "Fire and Ice", which I will post tomorrow, is my second favorite. I also like Edgar Allen Poe, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Walt Whitman and T.S. Eliot, although I do NOT like T.S. Eliot's poem "The Wasteland". It's too depressing. Even though I like "The Raven", I do NOT like depressing poems. I DO like Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, which is really a book of cat poems. It's the best thing I ever read by T. S. Eliot. I found three more pictures to upload...an new Inuyasha picture, and original picture, and an "Original" that's not an original. It's actually from a manga I like, but that they don't have a catagory for it. Hopefully, those'll be up soon. And my two Big O pictures and one Fushigi Yugi picture got up yesterday afternoon. Yay!

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.
~Robert Frost

I fixed the links...yay!
Anywho...I uploaded some new pictures, (one from Fushigi Yugi, and two from Big O), and two new wallpapers...another Inuyasha and a Rouroni (sp?) Kenshin one. However, once those are up I have nothing in my "Work-in-Progress" folder, so there will most likely not be any new wallpapers for a while this time, unless I get attacked by inspiration, which happens sometimes. My Muse is evil. It attacks me when I want a break.
We have reacheds the Month and a Half deadline for school....I will be graduated in June. Excuse me while I rejoice...YAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!! Not that Mom isn't a good teacher or anything like that. She's a great teacher. But I am SO ready to be done.
Has anyone seen the anime for Fruits Basket? I've seen the manga, and I know there is a anime, but I don't think it's been played in America. Oh, well. It looks funny.
Well, I have to go now. Tata!

Trigun Trial...
And the verdict is...I NEED MORE TRIGUN!!! I LOVED IT! Mamma, you were right! It's hilarious! My thoughts on characters:
Milly: Ditzy, yet loveable. It's funny how she's so big, and is still such a fraidy cat, if I may lapse back to second-grade vocabulary.
Meryl: GRUMPY!!! I wouldn't like her if it wasn't for the relationship she and Vash have. She treats him like he's her little brother. The derringers are a bit of the freaky side, though.
Vash: Well, lets see...a loser, a dope, a twit and an idiot...and sensitive, deep, cool voice and oh, so cute...I knew I wasn't drawing all those pictures for nothing! He is so FUNNY!!!
