Well, I'm back! With a sunburned nose, sore legs and in dire need of an actual shower, I returned victoriously from Kingdom Bound 2004. I had so much fun, but where to start?

On Sunday, we left the church around nine o'clock, and I fell asleep for about 30 minutes. Let me tell you, with the rest of the kids in my youth group, that's a very dangerous thing to do. Luckily, I woke up before any thing untoward happened to me. We do have video footage of one of the guys in the youth group waking up with a camera in his face. He reacted pretty much normally: he attacked the camera. It was pretty funny. Half the way to Buffalo, the church van had an emergency. We were driving merrily along when next thing you know, there's smoke pouring out from under the hood. Our air conditioner had overheated, and started melting through a belt. However, it was discovered that if we just left the AC off, we'd be fine. We got to the campground around 4:00, and didn't really do much the rest of that day other than set up. And unlike last year, the weather was nice. Last year it POURED while we set up.

Monday I saw Garret Jax for the first time in two years. I had been worried that maybe he'd changed in 2 years, but he was pretty much the same, all the way down to his hawai'in shirt. We went on the Ferris Wheel (main topic of conversation: psychotic ducks), the Mind Eraser (main topic of conversation: world domination) and the U.F.O. (main topic of conversation: the guy standing opposite of us, and whether he'd lose his sunglasses so Garret could catch them.) Then Garret made a very serious mistake: we went into an arcade, and he showed me Dance Dance Revolution. Thanks to him, I am now a DDR addict. I'm still really, really bad at it, (I can't even beat "Saints" in light mode), but it's so much fun! I sort of want to buy a PS2 now, so I can get DDR. Thrush just thinks it's really, really sad...but then, she's not the type of person to make a fool of herself in front of other people. But I digress. After the rides, we went to concerts. The first one we went to was Thousand Foot Krutch. We were a little late, and Silver had the camcorder, so we didn't get very far into the crowd, but we had fun anyway. I'm going to digress here again for a few seconds. You remember when I told you to read Garret's stories? Well, if you did, I'm sure you remember a character named "Aaron". Well...I met the friend that Aaron is based on. He's INSANE!!! I have videotape of him dancing with Garret, Silver, Silver's friend Ttimme and some random guy...I think he was a friendd of Garret's friend. Anyway.1000 foot Krutch is a hard rock band. The main dances being performed by Garret and Comapny were the Charelston, the Macarena, the Robot and something that looked like a mix of head-banger and a tango. Quite strange.

Oh, wow. I've written a lot already. Well...tune in tomorrow for part two!
