   Warning: Novel-Length Post Approaching...
Well, once again, it has happened. I do think saying I'm going to post on a specific day is a good idea. It almost gaurentees that I will not be posting on that specific day.

So. How ya been? I'm good. Several pieces of news:

Monday: Reserved tickets online for Revenge of the Sith. Upon being sent the little "Print This Out And Give It To The Theater People" page...I remembered my printer was out of toner. Ha. Haha. HA! Not only did the page resist all attempts at being saved so I could send it to my dad's computer to be printed, it ALSO rejected all attempts at being typed in on the other computer. We had to drag my dad's printer into my room and install it just to print out the stupid ticket! But we have it now, which is good.

Tuesday: Got my finals grades back. I got B's in everything, even the Dread Precalculus, which I was sure was going to sink my sub, so to speak.

Tuesday Night: Someone located Tapioca Tundra for me. My FAVORITE Mike Nesmith song that the Monkees sang, and I could not find it ANYWHERE...but someone found it for me! Yay!

Wednesday: Um...ok, so nothing really interesting happened.

Thusrday Revenge of the Sith came out. Sadly, no midnight showing for me...:( I wish I could've gone. Several of my friends from online got to go...I've sworn them NOT to tell me ANYTHING.

Friday Well...it's today. Not much to say yet, except that my virus scan is going [joy]. So instead I shall FINALLY do the Moulin Rouge review...

So. Almost a month and a half ago, we [Thrush and I] finally watched Moulin Rouge. As previously mentioned, we'd tried before but cheated, skipped to the end, and didn't watch anymore.

So now we tried again...and wished [or I did] that we'd sat clear through it the first time.

I didn't care much for the setting, for obvious reasons, eheh. But the fact that it took place in a "Den of Ill-Repute" made the romance part all the more bitter sweet.

The storyline was good. I HATED the Duke. As in loathed, despised, and wished I could beat with the Stick of Smiting. He reached a level of loathing not reached since Potter in It's a Wonderful Life.

Ewan MacGregor was the perfect starstruck guy deep in puppy love. He was so funny, most of the time. Nicole Kidman was a somewhat odd character, but I actually liked her, something that usually doesn't happen with female characters in recent movies.

So I'm sitting there, enjoying the movie, but dreading THE END because I knew what happened...

WHY CAN'T GOOD MOVIES LIKE MOULIN ROUGE END WITH HAPPILY EVER AFTER?? Or, barring that, WHY couldn't that STUPID Duke have got what was coming to him? NO! He walks away, while poor Satine dies! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! *Hits Duke with Stick of Smiting*

Now that I've got THAT out of my system...The humor was good, most of the time. The best line in the ENTIRE movie was the "Luckily for me, just then an unconcious Argentinian fell through my roof. He was quickly followed by a dwarf who was dressed as a nun.." The Bohemians just cracked me up, especially Toulouse. If I get a hamster, that's going to be his name. Although...Audrey was a bit...distressing.

And I can't really say more about the music than BRILLIANT. Especially the movie's version of Come What May. I'm not ashamed to say that I cried at the end...first time I've done THAT since Return of the King.

And now, there you go. And I'm done babbling. Look at the novel I wrote for you! Don't you feel SPECIAL? :)

Cheers.
