   Why can't I sleep?!

Why can't I be more like Harrison?! So I have been awake since 3am this morning. I have posted on theOB and PMed a few of you, sent out a birthday e-card to a friend and basically just milled about theO. I can't sleep. I just end up tossing a turning. Meh! Today I am going to be going to Seattle. I have a bunch of things to do, hopefully I can get it all done in a day! John got the day off from work to drive me, I am such a lucky bear to have a great guy like John in my life. ::smiles ear to ear:: I really am lucky. Oh, the picture above is my cat Harrison. He was so cute sleeping the recliner I had to take his picture. As you can see he has a bit of a birth defect with his front legs. They are shorter than normal and bent. Since he is a special needs kitty I adopted him from the vet clinic after one of the clients brought him in. They thought he had two broken legs, but after an exam and x-rays we discovered they were just "made" that way. Since he was born a barn cat he wouldn't make it very long on the farm. So he lives the life of luxury in my home. Look at him, not a care in the world. If only I could sleep so soundly! Well, it is almost 6am and I guess I should get ready for my trip to Seattle. I love you all and hope you all are having a wonderful mid-week to continue on til the weekend. ::huggles::

   The Fan Art is Finally Done!!!

Ok, they are finally all finished! I am not feeling so hot today since I just had my chemo injection and it makes me feel all achy and icky. So it's just a quick update today. With out further ado, my final pieces of fan art for now. Piece One: Is actually fan art from One Piece! This one is my dedication to all of my great friends. I think Tony Tony Chopper is so cute. How can you not love him, his big cheesy smile and round little body (well, when he is in that form...One Piece fans know what I mean.). I wish my doctors were as cute and cuddly as Tony. I decided to draw him since he is a doctor and seeing how my absence from visiting all of you is because of my on going health problems. I drew him holding a single long stem yellow rose behind his back. That rose is for all of you. Yellow roses stand for friendship, joy and freedom. A single rose means "I thank you", which I really do thank all of you for your friendship and support. The reason I put it behind his back is so it would be a surprise to all of you. A special thank you for being so wonderful. You guys really do rock. Thanks. The last piece: Maromi from Paranoia Agent. Without giving away too many spoilers about the series one of the characters is "Lil' Slugger" and he attacks people who are mega stressed out who feel like they have no escape from their problems. He hits them with a golden bat. Maromi is the creation of the first "victim". As soon as Lil Slugger attacks these people they seem to have a strange calmness and release from their stresses. Of all the characters I totally relate to the wife of the police chief. I figured I would use the line that Maromi says in the anime. "Take a rest". I really do need to take a rest from my health worries and from the rapid fire fan art submissions! For that reason I am using this as my last submission for a bit, I am going to "Take a rest...." I hope you guys have enjoyed all my latest submissions. I appreciate all of you who have gone to vote on my pieces and I especially thank you for all you love and support. Your friendship during my bad days (which seem to out number the good as of late) means so much to me. I can't even put it into words. There are days when I feel so down and come to the site and read your comments and they make me smile. I thank you for those smiles.    All the Fruits Basket Art is Done!!

Quick update. I added the last of my Fruits Basket Fan Art pieces so please stop by and give them some love. I should be finishing up the last couple of pieces of fan art in the next day or so. Can you believe the last two pieces of fan art I am working on is NOT Fruits Basket?! One piece is dedicated to all of you for being your groovy selves. You guys totally rock. All the love and support you guys give me really does give me lots of strength. Thanks. ::huggles:: The last one is really one for myself. I think after I finish that one I am going to take a break from the fan art again and dabble a bit with my writing. Oh speaking of writing... Check out the front page of theOtaku. I just added the list of September anime and gaming conventions and put a little news story up about a special award Robotech is getting from the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame in Seattle. I guess that is about it for now. It is about 1:30am and I really need to get some sleep. I love you all and thanks for all the support. You guys rock my Panda socks.

   Must...keep...drawing!!

I'm still truckin' along. I have a couple more pieces of Fruits Basket fan art posted on the site so be sure to check them out, vote and leave comments if you want. I would much appreciate it. I went to the doctor today and had to have some blood work done. They had a nursing student in learning how to draw blood. I was the lucky guinea pig..er..panda. I am so use to getting stuck with needles from all the blood draws and chemo injections that it really doesn't bother me. Even though she was really nervous and had trouble finding a vein she did a good job. Unfortunately I am a bit sore and bruised from the experience...but at least she got to practice which means the next one she does will be easier. It's all for the best in the end. Hey, no pain no gain right! Other than that I am still in full fan art mode right now. I have 6 pieces that are in different stages of inking in Photoshop. I'll let you guys know when I post them. Well, I am going to get some rest. I love you all and hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. ::huggles::

   Feelin' meh, but getting better!

Feeling meh. Haven't been doing much as of late since I have been feeling so meh. I did watch all of Fruits Basket and felt inspired to do some fan art. Be sure to check out, vote and comment on them. The first one I did was of Ritsu Sohma since it seems like no one ever does this poor little monkey. He's a bit extreme but I think he is very cute in his monkey form. So neglected is poor cross-dressing Ritsu. I am sure if this fan art doesn't score to high he would be apologizing like crazy since he would think it was hit fault! Next is Yuki and Tohru. I thought it would be a sweet little picture. I know I will get a bunch of rabid fangirls who will say they hate/love this pairing but that is to be expected. Hopefully they won't vote no just because they don't like the pairing. That would bite. I really hope I get votes on the actual art and not the pairing. The last for for this round is the sweetest pairing in the series: Hiro and Kisa. This is actually my favorite out of the three pictures done so far. I just think they are so cute in their Zodiac forms. I knew as soon as I saw them I was going to have to do some fan art with them. Don't you just want to huggle both of them?! Please, stop by the fan art sections and vote on my submissions. I am now off to take care of some stuff that has been long neglected due to my prolonged illness. Thanks for all the well wishes. Hopefully I will be back in the swing of things soon.    This so totally rocks!!

There's a Shimura in FMA!!! I am not sure why I never noticed this but the seiyuu for Heymans Breda is Tomoyuki Shimura! Woo hoo!! A Shimura is in Full Metal Alchemist!! I wonder if I am related to him? Wouldn't that just be the nifty keen! I need to check with my dad to find out if we are. Oh, for those of you who haven't figured it out why this is so exciting to me is that my maiden name is Shimura. Shimura is not a common name so this is pretty neato to me to see the name on the screen...and associated with one of my favorite anime series! Now, enough of being a rabid FMA fan girl over a seiyuu with the same last name. LOL On to the comments on comments! SG: My vote is for a combination of both since people may wonder if you are the same James as Administrator James. And saying just "Some Guy" actually sounds funny. Ok, so you are just some guy. LOL Oh heck, just say you are Gail from theOtaku.com and see what people say. Tepo: I talked with John about getting new anime and he said ok since I have been a good bear. Woo Hoo! He's taking me out Sunday for anime shopping! ^_^ SunfallE:: I know what you would do without a Panda. You would be eating Sardines and Spam. Actually you would probably be emailing Adam about why it is taking soooooo long for submissions to be approved. LOL Monkey!: The weather is much better. The sun is shining and the wind has stopped. That nasty dust storm was just plain bizarre. I spent time outside with my doggies and we had much fun cleaning up the yard. :P Ducky!: No worries about being gone. CME: The nastiest thing about that dust storm is all the dust that seems to have found a way to seep into my house! Everything is covered with dust now! I live in a very rural area and right now it is harvest time so many fields are bare...thus nothing to hold down the top soil. So when that strong wind came by it decided to pick up all that dirt and throw it into my house. MM: ::points north:: That way. It was strange, it was a north wind. Odd, very odd. I have been really bad about visiting everyones sites (just ask anyone here) since I have been under the weather. I would love to get to know you better. Life is too short not to have great friends. ^_^ Ayame-meimei: Thanks for the compliment on my little neighborhood. I really like it. My neighbors are great and it's very safe and quiet. It's a great place. There are a couple of houses for sale in my neighborhood so if someone wants to be my neighbor, come on down! ^_^ KitsuneTsuki: No there are not big trees. My neighborhood is still pretty new. In fact they are still putting in houses at the end of the block and one street over. The tallest tree is probably about as tall as the tops of the single story houses. My house is only about 4 years old so trees are still little in my neighborhood. We have lawn...lots of lawn. Phew!    Dust in the Wind.

And all over my neighborhood! I finally feel good enough to go out and about and the weather is nasty! The wind is blowing and there is so much dust in the air it is dangerous to drive. I took the above picture at about 6:30pm tonight and you can see the sun (barely). Just for the few minutes it took me to step out on the front porch to take this picture I had a gritty dirt feeling in my mouth. Yuck! Needless to say I stayed inside and watch all the dust blow on by. At one point I couldn't even see across the street to my neighbor's house! Since I didn't make it to sites today I am going to comment on comments! CME: I really hope to get out of the house soon. If it is not my health it is the nasty weather keeping me in my house! indifference: Thanks for the compliment on my latest submissions. I thought the ones I did of "Mother" were pretty creepy and no one else had done one like that. We need some variety in the wallpapers. ^_^ Eeek! A Mouse: I tried to call you but you weren't answering and now it is late and you are probably asleep. We shall continue to play phone tag. Sir James the Sexy: We should go on a picnic! Just not here and in this weather unless you want to be sand blasted. Ah...nothing like an exfoliating picnic! MangoChan: Ah, if I only had my very own panda. I would be just like Mei Chen and travel around with my compan-da (Kudos if you get the Venture Brother's joke there.). Shanny-lanny: I am happy you are happy that I am feeling better. That makes me very happy. ::huggles:: Tepo: Hooray for Friday! Now I just need to convince John to skip work and take me out of town to buy some more anime!! ShadowLight: I would so very much love to spend some time outside. If I did right now I would either fly away in the wind or get a mouthful of dirt since it's soooo flippin' dusty here! I really want to go on a picnic now. MM: I hear ya about the writing. When I force myself to write it turns out really bad and then I just end up scraping it in the end. I have put my writing on hold until I feel inspired again. ^_^ Aaryanna: If I am ever in Utah we will have to meet up. It would be fun to do something like an anime convention together!    I am going stir crazy!!

So, as all of you know I have been feeling icky so I have been trapped in the house for days. I have a few articles I have been working on and off of but I just haven't felt like writing much. I watched some FMA and FMP...I guess I have been in a Full Metal kind of mood. Needless to say I am feeling better today and now I have cabin fever. I've got to get out of the house! I posted some in the OB, made some new wallpapers/greetings and did some writing. I am just feeling so antsy it is hard for me to concetrate on my writing! Aaaargh!! Well, before I explode I am going to get off the computer and run around my house or something. I really appreciate all your well wishes during this last nasty RA flare up.    I'm still alive!

I am still not feeling very well. I have been spending most of the day in bed. I feel like this last Chemo injection acted like a blender to my gut...it feels like someone turned the setting to puree. My insides all ache. meh. No worries, John is taking care of me and I am still trucking along. I'll be back posting more soon.
